The amount of sauce they gave for the tangsuyuk was also lacking. Not sure if it was just us but we didn't get any banchan (radish) with our order while I saw everyone else got one. I also tried to order another dish right after someone else ordered, and they told me they're closed now. The parking at this hmart was pretty bad though. It took some time to find parking in the parking lot. Probably due it's located at a pretty busy plaza with a lot of restaurants. There were a lot of people at the food court, and it was pretty noisy.

I usually swing by on weekday afternoons when it's quieter and easier to browse without the rush. Some of the prices are on the higher side, but the quality and overall shopping experience make it worth it. The store feels bright and organized which could be relaxing and a nice contrast to most grocery runs. The produce, meat, and seafood sections are always fresh and well stocked, with plenty of variety. I especially love their tofu selection, ready to eat banchans, and marinated meats, perfect for quick dinners. I find myself always ending up with a box of Korean pears, golden kiwis, and soy milk in my cart no matter what I came in for. This little spa and grocery ritual always leaves me feeling recharged, with a calm mind and a happy fridge.

At the time I came, there weren't many people shopping so I was able to get a closer look at the products! Prices are decent and even better when the items are on sale! Then the groceries do not hurt the pocketbook as much! The sales are good here! Good produce section and lots of frozen fruit pulps with exotic fruits of some I have never seen before like Lulo, until I saw the fresh Lulo too at the produce section along with giant cactus pieces and cactus fruit! There was a box of frozen breadfruit which looked like giant cherimoyas! Boxes of tamarind, fresh and dried poblanos could be had here. Lots of Latin products and even green Puerto Rican Sofrito! Household items tend to be more here. If you need a broom, check the various other stores on Smith Street for better prices. I spied Mexican pan as well as lots of cookies, crackers and guava pastes galore! There were pastilles rolled sheets, twine and empanada wrappers! You can get fresh pork rinds at $12.99 a pound as well as other hot prepared foods. At the time I went, there were some hot foods on display! Big fried empanadas too! I hope to come back to check out the Supremo again! I will take the advice of the fellow Yelper and bring cash too! Otherwise, a pleasant find during this trip!

Normally I hold this WM in high regard, but this morning's shenanigans really have reduced my…read moreopinion of it. I am an action figure collector and sometimes Walmart has exclusive toys you can only get on their site and/or in their stores. Their web site was sold out of the specific figures BUT they showed as available to order and pick up at this store so I put in orders for four toys total, two of each character. For your reference, one of them was the "Retro G1 Gears" in my attached pics. I drove almost 40 mins to get to this store (my local Walmart had nothing) and when I get to pick up, the people there were very busy but perfectly nice (which is why this is a 2 star review instead of 1). They brought out my items and I instantly knew they were the wrong ones (see "Studio Series" Bumblebee in my attached pic). The items I wanted were on bright, colorful cards with bubbles attached. The ones they brought me were in black boxes. The character names were not the same either. Concerned, I took them over to the aisle where the correct items should have been and of course, two of the four items I wanted were sold out. I wound up purchasing the two items I DID want and cancelling the online order. You don't need to know anything about action figures or collecting to have gotten this right. All you need to do is know how to use your eyes, look at an order and match up the item in the Walmart.com listing to what is one shelf. Don't want to do that? Use your handheld scanner and scan the SKU to make sure it matches. Clearly none of this was done. Whoever pulled my order just thought any old Transformer would do which is bizarre. If I ordered a $200 vacuum cleaner, would they just randomly pick say, a $100 one to give me? No. Customers should get what they ordered - full stop. I really used to like this Walmart but this kind of elementary screw up is really surprising. Clearly whoever pulled my order had little to no regard for customer service. Be warned. If you put in a pick up order, you may not get what you paid for.

    Lotte Plaza Market - Condiments

** Great Selection and Fresh Produce!**…read more Lotte Market is one of the better Asian grocery stores around--definitely a go-to if you're looking for a wide variety of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Southeast Asian ingredients under one roof. The store is clean, well-organized, and the produce section is surprisingly fresh with lots of options you don't usually find in regular supermarkets. The seafood section is a standout--plenty of fresh fish and shellfish, and they even clean or cut it for you on request. The meat section is also well-stocked with cuts popular in Asian cuisine. You'll find everything from marinated bulgogi to hotpot essentials. There's a great range of snacks, noodles, sauces, frozen dumplings, and ready-to-eat meals. The in-store bakery and food court are added bonuses--try the Korean fried chicken or fresh buns! Parking is usually decent, but weekends can get crowded. Prices are a little on the higher side compared to smaller ethnic stores, but the convenience and variety make up for it. Service and billing slower at times Still, highly recommended for any Asian grocery shopping needs!

The least crowded of the newer Asian markets…read more They're a little more out of the way and not as trendy and fun to shop in as H Mart but there isn't the same congestion and chaos here. Sometimes H Mart feels like it was purposefully designed to have that chaos in mind, like you're meant to get overwhelmed by the sheer amount and variety of goods they offer, to meander through their tighter layout to discover something. Adds to the bustling atmosphere. Kind of like Costco and Trader Joe's. You're always going to leave buying something you never intended to. H Mart tends to cost more than the other Asian markets and caters more towards the youth. Lotte has the cleanliness of H Mart with nearly as much ethnic goods as them, if not more in the South and Southeast Asian department. Their overall design and layout is simpler so it's easier and faster to find what you need. They have pretty consistent sales to boot. Peace and quiet, great for elders and families. Lotte remains to be the most balanced and the IDEAL in terms of shopping experience, variety, quality, and value of all of the Asian markets. Go to the back past 6pm for 30-50% off discounted prepared food. I personally find some of their items, like kimbap, to be better than H Mart's. Food court is also significantly less busy than H Mart's.

This weekend I went to H Mart to buy some oranges for Chinese New Year. We give them as gifts to family and friends when we visit their homes. Shocked, they were selling three for $3.99. The frugal Chinese shopper in me says, no way am I paying that price. Went to Trader Joe's instead and they were selling a bag of eight for $4.99. I even told the girl who was stacking the oranges how H Mart had the nerve to charge so much. Lol. As I continued to shop around the store, the girl came up to me with another bag of oranges and said take this bag instead it has nine (instead of 8) oranges. The fact that she took the time to look for me is what Trader Joe's is all about. That totally made my day. The workers go above & beyond. And don't get me started on the cashiers, I always enjoy saying hi to them and engaging in some friendly conversation. If you can't find a product, a worker will walk you to the aisle.
