This is probably the worst Indian store I went to in a while. Rotting veggies, sky high prices and spoilt goods - everything you don't want from a grocery store. I am so disappointed! The person at check out was awful, didn't lift a hand to bag the stuff and kept giving us side looks. The prices were insane - you are better off going to Patel's or another store that's more predictable with pricing. Also, we bought some tamarind candy and pineapple candy, both of which were spoilt and old ( had to throw away). Amongst all the other Indian grocery shop like patels/subji mandi etc , India groceries is really good. First and foremost it isn't as crowded as others ... easy to park and do a quick shopping for Indian groceries . Lots of parking in This complex .. We went on a weekday and the billing was quick . Not sure how it is on weekends . Vegetables are good and fresh . They have dosa batter , chapatis etc . Almost all groceries are available .. overall a good shop and good experience read more

If you have never been to an Indian grocery this is a pretty awesome place to go. They have so many different varieties of foods and options. Everything from fresh to frozen. It's amazing. The people that I interacted with were also very nice and helpful with all the questions I had. definitely coming back here again but next time with intentions of buying something. read more

This is the new Indian grocery store on oak tree road. Good selection of veggies and frozen foods as you walk in. Lots of isle space, so carts aren't bumping into each other. I was a little confused on their layout - it was hard for me to find the spices (how do you not find spices in an Indian store?!). Pluses are a large frozen food section and snacks to select from. Minuses are they have a small fresh veggies section. At the cashier I found her to be rude when I asked her to make sure that the items which where on sale are reflected in her system, the cashier didn't look into what I informed her about and I recieved no discount on the sale item. I will not spend my time or gas to visit the store again. I will continue to just go to trader joe's for frozen Indian food when I crave it. They need to work on being customer centric and to follow up and check on sale items when a CUSTOMER makes them aware of an issue. read more

One definitely for consumer affairs / department of health inspectors to crawl over. I found several items that expired in 2017 and other items which have clearly been repacked and had their original expiry date deliberately removed. When I enquired about the Indian savory Bombay Kitchen products near the front door that they don't have expiry dates was told that's how they come from the manufacturer. I explained in Patel Brothers it has black date printed on the front. PG Tips tea bags from UK had cellophane removed, expiry date on base neatly obliterated and then repacked but they couldn't get the top on neatly. Advised staff about these issues and they said will look into it but I could see this process endemic. Interesting to read another review that somebody got sick buying food from here. read more

This Store is big and well maintained. It is always neat and tidy and clean. Today I went for Diwali sale shopping. They always have good sale during Diwali. Employee are nicer here than other groceries stores. read more

Downgrading the rating to 2* because this is the second time I have bought a product only to realize that it is expired. After the first incident, I have to check the expiry dates on everything that I buy and this one slipped through the cracks. Will upload a pic to illustrate the same. Will also attempt to try and return it along with the receipt to try and see whether the grocer will take it back. read more

PROCEED WITH CAUTION. I got very physically sick from food I bought here. When I called them up if I could get a refund they told me NO and I brought up calling the Health Inspector and they said "yes call the health inspector" and ignored any of my frustration as a customer. I am giving 3 stars to this Grocery store because of easily available parking, variety of Indian grocery items from India's renowned brands however the those 2 minus stars are for their 'leaky/ unsealed' packaged items. The reason being, in order to accommodate as many packets (of Daal, Namkeen, Spices, Nuts, etc) in small shelves, their employees prick the packaging with push pins to release the air however the packaged item gets in contact with air and doesn't retain its freshness. Since the items on the shelf sell so fast, the food item doesn't go bad that quickly. I have witnessed this unethical practice of employees pricking the plastic packaging with push pins in other Indian grocery stores too. Next time when you visit the store, check the packaged item to see if it is still airtight or not. read more

Great grocery store that's large and clean with long aisles of everything you need to make good food. The frozen section has great lamb vindaloo and I love the yogurt they sell. Huge parking lot also. read more

The South Indian selection of groceries and the overall vibe really is spot on here. My Husband is Telugu and there were many things that he hasn't seen since being back home. We also got a pressure cooker here for a killer price! We are living in Brooklyn but we will definitely be back. It's worth it! read more

buyers beware.... i bought a packet of deep frozen - samosas. when i opened them they were rotten!!!!. never have i seen frozen food go bad.. i have been here for a long time. when i called the store today.. the rude lady had the gall to tell me that i must not kept them frozen correctly. for the record.. these were bought in december when the weather is cold and i only live 4 miles from this store... this is one is going to the authorities.. wonder how they are still open... read more

Hi', I visited the store on 1/2/2015 & spend total of $190.00 on grocery (including one 1 Kg bottle of Dabur varika oil for falling hair. This oil has a broken seal inside, when I called the store I was asked all the details including transaction number, receipt #, cashier number, date & soon. I asked the manager name DAKSHA that all l need to exchange with the same item but I was told that it takes four hour to checked the problem I had. I live in New York I personally Went there today to exchange the bottle but, I was denied by DAKSHA (manager) & I was Accused for stealing the item. When I asked her to provide the phone number of the owner, I was given the fake phone number. I am giving you the advice to those people who shop at this store, do not buy anything From there. Lot of items are without the exp date. Be careful about shopping there. read more

Wow this grocery store has MAJORLY improved since i last walked in. They carry so much all natural organic items. The grocery selection is a bit small but much much more fresh than before. The prices are reasonable and I will be coming back! The parking lot is huge and I never have problems finding parking which is very time consuming. Lovely staff, check this place out. read more
