Great food, staff is great. One of the staff members always has a bad attitude and is very impatient. A family member of mine has a stutter and as a person who stutters, it is very frustrating when someone tries to finish your words for you. The staff member that made our subs today was very rude and impatient. I can understand that people have bad days but it is every time that I go in this subway she is always in a bad mood. She kept trying to interrupt my family member as she was stuttering and continues to say," Deep breaths sweetie", or constantly nodding her head like its such a burden to hear a customer out. Left this establishment at 9:22pm on 01-02-19. The place was spotless, but every one of the employees was high as a kite. One was actually overheard saying, "Man, I need some weed," upon which declaration he entered the kitchen, and quickly returned coughing. While all three employees were kind, twenty minutes of shrieking and high-pitched laughter in the otherwise-empty restaurant kind of made me want to kill myself. read more

We go to Subway fairly often for a decent meal at a good price. After traveling from the wee hours of the morning, we arrived in Springfield to visit family on a Thursday afternoon. After checking into our hotel, we realized how hungry we were and looked for something fast and close. And, that led us to this Subway location. I had to give it one star fewer than top because of the awful entrance and parking lot. It's a small Subway and any vehicle other than a compact car feels huge in the parking lot. Even a smaller SUV may have to do a 3-point turn just to get wedged into a parking spot. Then, when you leave and head out the alley, you have to be very weary of the huge potholes in the road. Luckily that was the only negative about this particular location! There were four people working to quickly yet carefully make subs. They moved people through at a very good pace. They took care in making our subs, didn't just throw the toppings on haphazardly. The service was very much above average. I hope it's always like this for patrons because it's so nice! The food was good, bread was soft and fresh and veggies also fresh and crisp. It was a positive experience. I've been to various Subways multiple times where there is just one poor person working, that's just horrible. There should never be fewer than 2, and 3 during the busy times. If you can manage to squeeze into the parking lot, stop by this Subway location for a positive experience and good subs! read more

If you are going to pick any subway to go to .....this is the best one I have ever been to. The staff is engaging, funny, attentive, and courteous. As so as I asked for a vegetarian sub they asked if they should change their gloves and prepared a sandwich like a true artist. The guys behind the counter where happy and seemed passionate about what they do. I know it's just subway, but the staff at this location had a great attitude which made me feel like I was in a 5 star restaurant. read more

Ok, this is really the best subway. Seriously. Got my regular sub that I eat every Monday back in Columbus. This night we were headed to the symphony and needed something fast. Service was unbelievable! Both people working were super friendly and made us feel right at home. I don't know why, I get the same thing on my sub everytime, but I swear it was better. The dining area is small, but we didn't feel cramped at all. Next time I'm in Springfield for ANY reason I'll be sure to stop back. read more

I don't normally bother to write reviews about chain restaurants like this. The fair is pretty standard and what you can get in one city is pretty much what you can get in ANY city around the USA. There wasn't anything particularly special about the offerings. Why I wanted to write this review was more on the memorable service my traveling companion and I had when dining here in February of 2011. The service was the best I have ever had in ANY subway in any of the cities I have been too on either coast of the USA. The employees were very polite and went the extra mile to ensure everything exceeded our expectations. Maybe I am just used to big cities where all service and interactions wiht others can seem so impersonal and meaningless but the service made me think that this could be a small town I could actually live in and enjoy. The food was certianly fresh and the premises were very clean. I do not dine at Subway often (except when traveling and there are not better options) but my companion is a great fan of Subway and he said the food was tops compared to the Subway shops he usually eats from in MD. If I were to travel to Sprongfield again I would dine there again. read more
