Very trucker friendly place. Watch the corners when driving around building. Lots of parking in the dirt behind restaurant.

First time staying at the hotel and had reservations for dinner at The Kitchen for our anniversary…read more They have a mix of indoor and outdoor seating ( large outdoor patio) and were pretty busy when we arrived. We were seated at a table inside promptly and waitress was friendly / quick to check in. Ordered the baked Brie, halibut, and King's cut prime rib. Execution on everything was really good and food tasted great. Was disappointed they didn't make any references to the occasion we were celebrating or bring anything fun out. Overall was really surprised a restaurant of this caliber was in the area. Would certainly come again.

We came here last month and grabbed takeout, and honestly, the food was great! So today, we decided…read moreto come back and actually sit down for a meal. Party of 3 -- how hard could this be? We were initially told there would be a 20-minute wait, which was totally fine. Then things got a little... interesting. Two different staff members told the greeter at the front that our table was ready, but we were still asked to keep waiting. About 15 minutes into our wait, a party of 7 walked in and was told they would have a table ready for them. At that point, we decided our party of 3 had apparently been moved to the "please continue waiting indefinitely" category and we left. What made this especially strange was that there were five tables for four open. We understand that restaurants get busy and that seating can be complicated, but this situation just didn't make sense. If a table is available and staff are saying it's ready, why keep guests waiting while a much larger party is welcomed in? The food may be great, but the customer experience left us scratching our heads. Every customer should feel like they're important -- whether they're a party of 3, 7, or even just one person. Hopefully management can take a look at what happened, because this was a very unusual experience.

I wasn't even planning to stop here but we were on a road trip and saw the billboard. My partner…read moretold me that he had never tried pea soup, and I decided we were going to need to change that. We arrived on Saturday at 10:15am. We followed the signs to wait to be seated and were seated around 10:18am. The cashier seemed to do two jobs- being a cashier and a hostess at the same time. So it took a minute or two to finish up her cashier job to get us seated. Our waitress greeted us, but unfortunately did not say her name nor was she wearing a name tag. She was very direct- which I enjoyed. Very quickly she went to take our order, I asked questions and she once again, gave me very direct responses. We ended up ordering a coffee, unsweetened ice tea, soup and sandwich combo, and the Monte Cristo. Surprisingly, after tax this ran us $52. This was such a bang for your buck. The ambiance is definitely a coffee shop vibe. Not the most modern, but full of character and charm. The food was delicious! I scarfed down the soup and half my tuna sandwich so quickly, and my partner enjoyed his Monte Cristo. We had no leftovers on this day. Just as quickly as we got there, our waitress handed us the check and we took it to the cashier to pay. We were in and out of there in 40 mins. Overall, I found this to be a perfect rest stop. Not only was the food good, and decently priced, but it's very conveniently located off the five. I definitely want to come back whenever I do this route again.

I was still full from breakfast at Harris Ranch, but had to stop in and soak in the vibes here. I love the gift shop, the sign outside, and the windmill. The Reuben sandwich was tasty, but I was too stuffed to finish. The water tasted like so much chlorine was in it, compared with other restaurants that actually filter their water. That was pretty gross. The server relies on tourism and didn't seem to make much effort to check on me, and even dropped off the wrong check. I couldn't even find her and had the manager give me the correct check. Gabriela, get it together.

All the accolades are well deserved. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was fresh, flavorful, and genuinely exceptional. This trip was no different except I'd begun in a different city than usual which changed the time and place that I stopped. While filling the gas tank at the Arco in Santa Nella I couldn't help but notice the taco truck (with shaded seating area) on the far edge of the property. Any plans for In-N-Out evaporated when I walked over and checked out the offerings. 6 tacos later ($2.86 each; 4 carne asada, 1 al pastor, 1 carnitas shared between two people) we'd both declared this place a winner. Had it not been so hot out I'd have also purchased a burrito for later. Or perhaps the 3 enchiladas for $7. Or maybe some quesabirrias. You see where I'm going. I thought the tacos here were declicious and was pretty certain I'd find the rest of the menu no different. Fresh and spicy salsas as well as a plop of grilled onions made these tacos as enticing as any In-N-Out burger and that's a compliment to both places. If you find yourself looking for very good Mexican fare in Santa Nella, look no further.
