I've been visiting family up here my whole life, and this is a gem worth driving to regardless. The food was delicious, but the service was exceptional. Once they heard we were in town for a family funeral (we showed up right before the kitchen closed after we were trying to find somewhere open), the restaurant covered our meal unexpected. Even without this the service would have been wonderful, but I was blown away by this kind act - especially during a season like that. One of my favorite places I've ever been! Also, the speakeasy downstairs had a steady flow of people the whole time with amazing music. On my bucket list to visit the next time I drive here!

New favorite restaurant in town!…read more We came here on a Friday night for the first time and were so impressed by the new renovations and excellent menu options! Firstly, the waitresses started us off with some warm and soft bread with 2 types of butter. It was so delicious with the sweet, cinnamon butter that I asked for seconds! Next, we ordered drinks and loved the HuCo blueberry blond! Everyone at the table got at least 2 rounds. For entres, I ordered the prime rib and my husband ordered the smoked duet sandwich. We both loved our food orders! The prime rib was a very generous portion with 2 sides and a soup. I asked for medium rare and it was perfect! I was stuffed! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and efficient. We easily parked in the back parking lot with no issues. We are so happy this new restaurant opened in our town and will definitely be back many times!

The bread is not soggy and there is a balance of corned beef, sauerkraut, cheese and sauce. I ate three of them there during the Frankenmuth Oktoberfest and I was pleased with all them. I highly recommend you give them a try. If you want an alcoholic beverage, you can take your food into the adjacent bar and eat it there. Lots of parking on the east side of the building. Too bad I live in Nevada; I sure would like another of their Reubens right about now.

But we just wanted lunch so it was fine! The menu is small but it was fine - we all found something we liked and when one of us didn't, the person behind the counter made her a grilled sandwich to order. I got a grilled chicken BLT. It was not a traditional chicken breast but something along the lines of a chipped chicken lunchmeat. Overall, it was "ok" - it tasted ok and it filled my stomach. The custom grilled sandwich was a tad soggy but tasted "ok" as did the meatball sub. No serious complaints but nothing exceptional either. Maybe it was just our preferences or maybe it was just who was cooking that day. ‍

Our server never came back to ask if we needed more drinks, and it took an hour for our food to come out. By the time it finally showed up, I was wondering if they were making the food from scratch on the back patio. Not trying to be a dick, but when the food is average and the service is awful, there's really not much to come back for.

Highly suggest joining the shore club to earn points for free subs if you come here as often as I do lol My main faves are the Italian cold sub and the chipotle chicken Cheesesteak. My husband loves the big kahuna and the #12, Cancro Special. Add a bag of salt and vinegar chips and it's perfect! Don't skip out on the fountain root beer or the vanilla cream soda either! If you're on a low carb eating plan, they can make the sandwiches into "bowls" also! One insider tip, If you like the Italian, ask for it grilled...you're welcome :) The meat, cheese and bread are top notch and do it Mikes way on the cold subs (lettuce, tomato, onions, vinegar oil and spices.) Jersey Mikes is leagues ahead of its competitor in town by Starbucks.

Plenty of toppings, generous portions of meat. All in all we were pleasantly surprised and want to try it again. Big portions that taste good, reasonable prices and friendly service.
