    Fish and chips

This place is locally owned. Good variety of choices on the menu. The food was hot and fresh. Home baked warm bread to start was delicious with cinnamon butter and (signature) mint butter although it was very small we could have eaten 2! I ordered fish and chips and bacon cheese fries which were very large and delicious! It took a while to get our order but service was otherwise great. Fresh food takes some time. Although I did not order a burger the table next to me did and they looked great. They also have a bar.

Brunch menu from 12-4 on Sundays

We have been here a few times now. We have had a great experience every time. This time we decided to try the Sunday brunch. We shared a carafe of Mimosas. I had the chicken Caesar wrap and my husband had the monte cristo. My husband loved his. I enjoyed my wrap a lot but I thought it was a little too crispy with the crispy chicken and croutons both in it for me, but the taste was still delicious . The service was great as usual and I love the decor and atmosphere. Everyone is always very friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back in the future.

So much food that we needed to-go boxes!

I came across this café while looking for a quiet place to get some work done, and I'm so glad I…read moredid! First of all, the name caught my attention because I'm a huge Edgar Allan Poe fan. I was pleasantly surprised that the Poe theme is clever and subtle rather than overly cheesy. The décor has more of an antique bookstore feel, with fun Poe inspired names throughout the menu. Despite the theme, there's nothing dark or dreary about this place. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was prompt. Our waiter was friendly and had some great recommendations. The soup sampler was easily the highlight for me. I've never seen anything like it before! I tried the baja chicken enchilada, mushroom with brie cheese, beef chili with beans, and the special of the month potato curry. I ranked them from favorite to least favorite, but honestly, everything was delicious in its own way. My drink and sandwich with a side of potato salad was very tasty! I finished the whole thing! If you're a Poe fan, the witty menu names will definitely make you smile. The food is good, portions are satisfying, and the prices are reasonable. I'd absolutely come back if I'm ever in the area again to try more of the menu.

Quoth the Raven "Evermore!"…read more Has an accessible entrance, flat flooring, and a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the building, the upstairs seating area is only accessible by stairs. Quaint, charming café that serves lunchtime treats, coffee, and pastries. The hot cocoa is divine! I really like the literary/"dark academia" vibes and decor, as well as the many cute birdie knick-knacks roosting about the space. Service was friendly and unrushed, I felt free to linger and enjoy at my leisure. I will make it a point to stop in here whenever I pass through Port Huron! I dropped in during the week and there was zero-wait for a table, although I imagine the place probably bustles on weekends!
