The spiced brown sugar taste I think is what threw it off. The service staff was extremely helpful and friendly. This café has a nice vibe to it and easy just to sit back, relax, and enjoy your food and drinks. We will return again.

The ambiance is definitely nice -- it's the kind of place you'd want to sit in, study at, or hang out for a while. But once you actually get to the food and drinks, it's a different story. The service was okay. Everyone was friendly, but it took way too long for my order to come out -- especially considering all I got was avocado toast. And when it finally arrived, it was the blandest avocado toast I've ever had in my life. Zero flavor, no seasoning, nothing special about it at all. Their matcha was honestly bad, just not good at all. The boba was probably the best thing I had, and their coffee was just alright -- nothing worth going out of your way for. Overall, TAP Café feels way overhyped. The vibe is cool, the space is cute, but the food and drinks just don't live up to the aesthetic. If you're going for Instagram pictures or a chill place to sit, it works. If you're going for flavor or quality, it's disappointing.

We were not disappointed. My purchase was a lavender iced coffee, my daughter the boba tea, hers looked very tropical! Decided to purchase the cupcake for a snack(see picture)as the other things in the bakery case were more money. OMG they were the best I've ever tasted! My daughter works in an office and she even said that these items would be great for office meetings, parties. We had the privilege of meeting the owner(wish I asked her name!) after her daughter that was running the counter told me it was her mom that got credit for the baked goods. They were both really nice and I hope this place does well! I didn't even know it was here, but I think owner said it's been a year strong..? Glad she is doing well and sounds like things are still moving in the right direction. Definitely will be going back when in the area!

The owner and her daughter provided all the service and make all the delicious sweet treats, sandwiches and soups. We were looking for something sweet and a place to cool down after a warm afternoon at the lavender farm. This bakery definitely fit the bill. First, it's adorable, spacious and has an inviting vibe. Great place to have a leisurely date alone or with company. The service is personal and welcoming. We found it difficult to choose our treats as everything looked so tasty and fresh. We chose just-baked cinnamon roll and magic bar. We were hoping for a classic mocha, which they did t have, so we tried something new: a blueberry espresso latte. It was surprisingly subtle with notes of berry, not too sweet, and a rich espresso flavor. Perfect accompaniment to our very delicious sweet treats. We will definitely return to try their homemade soups and sandwiches. Hoping the community embraced this new business. They are a wonderful addition to the Main Street community.

We are mocha snobs and this mocha was just perfect: rich dark chocolate, whole milk and espresso. Yummm! We also tried the dark chocolate croissants and a breakfast burrito. They were both delicious. Be cautioned that the burritos are very small and you will definitely want your own. Though we do not have any dietary needs, we were impressed with the vegan and gluten free options available to customers. Plant-based milks, an array of fresh-baked gluten free items and a cold case with chia breakfast oats, vegan berry pudding and other healthy cold salads and sandwiches. We tried the Lazy Toaster and would happily recommend this cafe, hands down. The staff knew their local customers and were very friendly and accommodating. Happy people create a genuinely happy vibe. You can feel the good vibes here. The ambience is warm and beckons you to stay a while; however, seating is limited. I enjoyed perusing the locally sourced items such as honey and maple syrup along with other health-oriented products such as essential oils. Excellent addition to Tawas. Afterwards we headed straight to the Huron Street Cafe, as I wanted to give them a try before we left. I'm very glad that we did. Even with the weekend event we were seated right away. Our hostess did give immediate notice that there was a 30 min wait for orders from the kitchen, but that was fine with us since we weren't in any rush. The menu was simple with classic diner breakfast options, and the restaurant itself had a great charm. I was actually surprised at how comfortable their "wicker" chairs were, and everything was bright and clean. The staff was great too! Even with there being a rush, they handled everything with grace, humor and kindness. For sure a team working together to keep things running smoothly. When placing my order I quickly brought up my food allergies/intolerances, as I have quite a few. I was aware that they could not 100% guarantee no cross contamination, as one severe sensitivity of mine is wheat, but after choosing my safest option (The Huron Street Special), they promised to be as safe a possible. I'm happy to say that I left without having any food reactions, neither then, nor delayed onset. So big thank you to them for that! The food was served in large portions and was absolutely delicious. The pancakes are huge and fluffy, and I rather enjoyed the home fries. I would say they are fair and moderately priced. I will definitely be returning in our next visit to town.

We came to the Huron Street Cafe for lunch, but ended up intrigued with the "Breakfast All Day" options. This is a simple idea that really opens up the menu options--more places should try it. We ended up getting a Mushroom and Bacon omellette and a Salmon Sandwich. Oh, and an extra order of bacon, just because. Both were really great. The service was extremely attentive and the staff was very friendly. Everything you would ever want in a friendly, casual, homey cafe. The atmosphere is relaxed, casual and very positive. Made us want to linger and chat. And it made me realize how few food places these days are truly welcoming. The Huron Street Cafe is, and I strongly encourage you to try it.
