Had the angry shrimp and pork wonton appetizer. Lot of sour cream in the wontons. No dipping sauce for those. Dipping sauce for angry shrimp not too spicy . Had the beef ravioli, large serving. Got the tomato sauce and it was good. Pasta sachettini had a thinner sauce than expected, needed a bit more salt/seasoning, shrimp don't perfectly. Added wine and the price went up - almost $80 with tip- two entrees, and two glasses of wine. Filling. Good company.

Pros: I enjoyed a beer flight where most of the choices were above average. Great potato and bacon soup. Their seafood fettuccine Alfredo was delicious. Competitively priced entrees. Cons: Over an hour wait for our entrees. They forgot the garlic bread. My brother's spaghetti and meatballs order was wrong. They should have cloth napkins if attempting to be an upscale affair. The taxidermy gives it a hunting cabin vibe. Overpriced appetizers. Bathroom stall the size of an outhouse. I would return for the beer flights and food if I were back in the area since I now know the turnaround time from the kitchen.

We were told they were out of a certain beer and pretty sure we got it when we ordered something different. The waitress kept forgot the lettuce, tomato, pickle for my burger. The burger was ok. Definitely ate the fries.

New owners, some changes, and some of that original crew are still there if you know when to visit. The crowd is always pleasant, and the service is phenomenal! The photo is a half plate of nachos from 10 or so years ago. So good! I must mention this, because it is important: they do not use Canola Oil for frying, as *most* restaurants do these days because it's cheaper than corn or soy. Eating anything fried in canola makes me violently sick after (3-4 hours of eating.) I wonder if IBS and other ailments of the like might possibly be what I experience? Fyi. Well, it is dinner time and I want a Chicken G'rilla. So I'm going to The Hotel tonight.

The tea is served in a real teapot with an antique teacup, with a choice of herbal and decaf teas. The Mennonites that own the place are nice, and the food is very much like what they cook at home. Not much in terms of spices, kinda bland dinners for my taste, but I use a lot of spices and seasonings in my cooking. The majority of the others I've eaten with have really enjoyed it. The one exception is the nachos...like another reviewer said below, the gal I was with had two bites and pushed it away, saying it tasted sugary sweet. I love meeting friends here for a nice cup of tea and either breakfast or a dessert. It's a relaxed setting, so don't go if you're in a rush.
