Got the tomato sauce and it was good. Pasta sachettini had a thinner sauce than expected, needed a bit more salt/seasoning, shrimp don't perfectly. We have been to Kinde's Pasta House many times over the years and have never had a disappointing meal. I highly recommend the Seafood Saccettini. The dish is one of a kind, and there is plenty to share. The portions are generous. This is a great place to come to a large party, with plenty of seating in the back. They also have a private dining area for private functions. Service can be touch and go. The Pasta House has often offered a young person their first job. So be kind and tip well. read more

This is a very nice clean restaurant in Kinde, Michigan not far from Caseville, Michigan. The little town celebrates Polish days because it has a polish population. I always laugh because the town has a population of around 500 people so they might need to do some recruiting or Polish days might disappear eventually. LOL The polish platter has sausage and pirogies. I must admit i am not entirely sure what they eat because i have only seen a few Polish restaurants in Metro Detroit. The lasagna was excellent and on par with many of the big name Italian restaurants in Metro Detroit. A local produce stand we seen nearby with a cash box you pay for by leaving the money in a total self service business. Definitely couldn't do that in many places in Michigan. This is actually a pasta house and they serve pretty good Italian dishes and the pizza isn bad at all. You always have to remember when you are in a tiny town that its not Manhattan or Detroit and you are lucky a restaurant is even available. Definitely will go back and try more of the menu. People in small towns are so friendly and welcoming. Its a farming community and they couldn't be kinder. read more

Met up with a couple of friends that reside nearby. A total throwback mom and pop diner. Seems like not much has changed inside in decades. Went with something I rarely eat - meatball sub. Previous meals have always been great, but the lasagna was a minor disappointment. Although the meal was tasty, it differed greatly from our perception of what lasagna should look like. Any pictures of lasagna entail layers of wide noodles separated by meat, sauce, and/or cheese. The meal, however, was not even close. This place is considered a hidden gem kinda place. The staff we super friendly and the service was quick. The fresh made bread was delicious and I would return just for the bread. However the rest of the food was... meh. We had pickle chips which besides the bread were the highlight of the meal. We also ordered pizza (meh) and pesto Alfredo pasta which was also meh. My alfredo wasn't bad and i enjoyed the fresh baked bread and the fresh salad. Service was great, and the interior was decorated with 50's memorabilia, some beer advertising, a little bit of Elvis, Dean, Marilyn, John Wayne etc... The front section had all kinds of memorabilia, and they even had a banquet hall right next door. While we were there a wedding party actually walked through our dining room into the banquet section, we were watching them get their food from buffet they had set up. Calamari was freshly prepared and not overly breaded, cooked perfectly to be tender and not chewy. Pizza was excellent! The crust was tender but had a crunchy bottom, the "handle" wasn't too big and the remainder wasn't too thick. The sauce had small bits of tomato in it still and had a great balanced flavor without being too spicy. Toppings were chopped finely and distributed evenly so you got a mix of your toppings. The cannoli had a filling that was a great balance of the ricotta and cream. The shell was crispy with just a hint of cinnamon. Far and away the best meal we've had all weekend in our Thumb of Michigan trip!!! Worth the drive down from Port Austin! We'll be back! read more

I had the lasagne which was a pretty hearty portion and the kids all had spaghetti. Everything was tasty and I'd definitely come back again, but nothing stuck out as a must order item. I have been coming to the thumb area sense 1980 and I have always known about this place, just never tried it out. Today I have finally decided to give this place a try, and I'm happy that I did. I've been missing out on some really good food. We had ordered one meal, and split it (had ice cream prior) because we wernt that hungry. They split the meal on 2 plates for us, and we were not able to finish, the portions are good size. We order the chicken tortellini in creamy mushroom marsala sauce, the sauce had a lot of flavor. What an amazing surprise! Honestly, the best pasta I have had in a long time and delicious warm bread!! I had the seafood signature dish (which I highly recommend), my son had the pizza, and my parents shared the whole slab rib special. The seafood dish had cheese filled tender pasta with shrimp, scallops, and crab covered in a delish alfredo tarragon sauce with asparagus. It was so good and plentiful!! The pizza was yummy- great crust! My parent's ribs were meaty and just fell off the bone. I was so excited and happy to leave with leftovers!! But, it wasn't just the food that was great- the service was amazing too. Everything came so fast and with a great smile. I moved away from Michigan 13 years ago and have been in some highly rated, downtown, west coast restaurants and they don't come close to this place in both food and service. The Pasta House's humble midwestern awesomeness definitely made me miss home! I am planning a trip back in a few months and this place will be on my mind for sure! I really like this place. It has quality Italian food and the best sauce around. I tried the Italian vegetable soup yesterday and that was delicious. My family got the Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta and they really liked it. They also had an antipasto salad that was huge and they really liked that. You get huge portions and I think one meal can work for two people. The service was okay, we had to wait a little long for drinks and it seemed that lime in order to get a pop refill you had to ask for it. The other thing I didn't get was the 50's diner feel for such a great Italian restaurant. But it is very clean and has a nice big back room to fit large groups. read more

Ate here last week with a party of 15 for dinner. For about the 5th year in a row. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because half of the meals were served far enough before the rest that some of us were almost done before others were served. Appetizers and drinks were served promptly. We all had a good time. Food quality was excellent. The pasta is so tender and well balanced with sauce. Highly recommend the calamari app. It puts Olive Garden or anyone else to shame. The pizza is great. Wish I could get pizza like that here in Novi, MI. We had an awesome waitress who described every dish spot on. The only thing I can add is don't order the veal. That has been the only dish that anyone in my family was not happy with.
