The brewery has events and entertainment all the time, but my favorite is their doggy beach costume party, which is always on the Tuesday of Cheeseburger. Just so happens that this year, my puppy won!(See photo) The Thumb Brewery has a lot of different activities going on all throughout the summer. Our favorite is Thursday Music Bingo. They also have musical entertainment during cheeseburger, but also on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer. Their menu has really expanded in the last two years. I still love their flatbread pizzas and walleye sandwich. You really can't go wrong with any of their choices. We have been trying to get here all summer but we're unable. Finally I just decided to jump in the car and go by myself. It's about a 2 hour drive for me. Nothing horrible. It was a gorgeous August Friday, so this seemed like the perfect day to go. This place is located in the outskirts of a neighborhood. Parking was convenient. There is a lot across the street as well as street parking. I decided to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful day. There was quite a variety of people there that day. Everything from children to elderly. I chose the lavender pale ale. I wasn't much of a fan. But it wasn't awful. I got a couple of tacos and really enjoyed them. The service was quick and friendly. I absolutely loved the atmosphere though. Next time I would be happy to wander around a bit but I am not at all familiar with caseville so I would rather do it with my bosom buddy. read more

First off, I love a good brewery- so I may be biased when it comes to food choices and beer selection. That being said, both food and drink are excellent. The beers are fresh and crisp, the food was plentiful and hot, and the price point is great! We had 3 apps, 4 drinks, and meals for 6; when our bill arrived it was ~$20/person, which is outstanding! You have indoor or outdoor seating choices and the staff is very nice. It has a modern look and the decor is lively and fun. The music is a mix of yacht rock, modern rock, pop hits...pretty much everything fun! You and your party can grab a drink and a burger, then take a short walk to the beach! Didn't get pictures, but six of us went for lunch and it was fantastic! I had the burger that was similar to the taste of a Big Mac. It had Bacon, a velveeta slice, arugula, onion and sauce. The bun was grilled to perfection! It was delicious! Chili is amazing, tater kegs, baguettes, homemade chips and French onion dip, mushroom Swiss burger, French dip, and Reuben were the other dishes that were ordered by the rest of the family! Beautiful brewery located near the heart of downtown Caseville. The first brewery in the area, it has some a long way since it's opening. They've doubled their patio space, which is gorgeous and dog friendly. Colorful umbrellas and mature trees provide plenty of shade. Parking can get difficult as the place is busy because of their great beers and food. Because of how packed it was, service was slow (expectedly) but was still very good. Waitress did her best give the crowds. They often have musicians (although a bit loud for my presence; makes it hard to talk at the table) and they even have comedy shows. The brewery located in a great old Victorian style house has a really good vibe. I got into their hazy IPA's and really enjoyed them. They have a really nice looking patio that we will comeback when the weather warms up a bit. The staff is great and very knowledgeable of their different beers and offerings. We picked this place on a whim for a mid week dinner. We ordered drinks and a tostada and blackened fish sandwich. Partner said beer, a light Mexican style lager was good. His tostada was spicy but very little chicken and the chicken was mushy. My blackened sandwich was very salty. Sandwich was served with fries ( which was an extra cost). My drink was a Margarita. The worst one ever. They put coconut flavoring into it. It was not refreshing. Service was very slow. The place was winding down from the dinner hour so not busy. We are in town visiting for the Cheeseburger festival. This fun brewery was decorated for the event, and had great live music out on the porch. Our waitress was on top of serving drinks and food. The corn dip was delicious- I highly recommend trying this! My friend had the tacos and said they were so good! I tried two brews- the Lawnmower Lager and the Gose. I really enjoyed both. I love when businesses take old buildings and/or houses and repurpose them! This brewery is a older house with a beautiful wrap around porch they have redone! The inside still has all its separate rooms with seating so you can also have your own space feel. There is a white picket fence separating the yard from the sidewalk! They paved the side yard and turned it into a huge outside patio that is covered with trees and lighting! It's absolutely the most relaxing and homey outside area I've ever been to! Beer was nothing to rant or rave about but I also have nothing bad to say about it! My mom ordered a mix drink which she thought was tasty! We also ordered the brussel sprouts and hummus appetizer which were both yummy! We met the owners, a husband and wife who were so enjoyable to talk to! I loved sharing there stunning creation with them and would love to come back and enjoy this outdoor space once more before the end of summer! read more

Great beers and service. I had a burrito there on Saturday. On a nice afternoon there is no better place in the thumb to enjoy a beer.

I have to start off by saying, I've had some of the best beer I've ever had here. Food was great. I would highly recommend the BLT pizza. Chicken bacon ranch wrap was pretty good too. Buffalo chicken dip was an excellent way to start. I started off with a flight to try the beers they new here (shaded in gray on the menu). I had to go with the lavender lady, such an amazing, refreshing and unique beer! Our server Erica was also amazing. She was so attentive to us out on the patio. She suggested we try the Petoskey Blueberry Crush by brining us a shot sized sample of it! She had great taste and knew the products well. I honestly wish I would have asked if they do growlers because I really regret not taking some of the lavender beer home! We will totally be back if we are ever up in the time area again! read more

If your looking for brews and a nice outside atmosphere this place is fine if you are hungry go somewhere else. My husband and I came mainly for dinner and to enjoy a beer. The food was terrible. I had a $12 margarita pizza that tasted like it had tomato paste spread on the some flat bread with a few melted balls of mozzarella. My husband had a $12 cheese burger that you could tell was from the a frozen sleeve of patties you buy in the store and then he added on fries for $4. They were just your run of the mill drop in a fryer fry! Very disappointing. Cute place nice service, menu needs some work! Reviews for this brewery seem pretty hit or miss based on service, but my family and I had a great experience and would definitely go back. Granted, we stopped in mid afternoon when there weren't many others there but the hostess was friendly and the server attentive. I started with a taste of the lady lavender but then instantly committed to the 16 oz - an easy and refreshing summer drinking kind of beer. I also ordered the Italian wrap (which comes with potato chips), which was pretty decent. I ended up trying a 5 oz of the kolsch, which was also very enjoyable. The brewery itself is a converted old house, no frills and laid back. Loved it! Totally fits with the rest of the Caseville vibe and was actually quite refreshing. There was plenty of seating outside in the yard, many with umbrellas to provide some shade. There's also a bar and seating inside if the weather isn't ideal. I ended up buying a glass with the thumb brewing logo on it as a token before we left - great souvenir for a great vacation! read more

We had a really great experience at the Thumb Brewery. During COVID-19, they are only serving at outdoor tables, but that was perfect for us when we were traveling with our dog. Order waters so we could get an alcoholic drink, but told to get our own at a water station with no ice. Flatbread pizzas were only ok. Tip choices are 20%, 25%, 30%. Maybe for full-service!
