I stopped by this sub shop on a Friday at noon. There was already a line when I walked in. However…read morethe line did go by a bit quicker when they called up customers who placed orders ahead. Tip: call ahead to place your orders if you don't have time to wait, especially during peak lunch times. The sub shop reminds me so much of my favorite local sub shop in NJ. The shop is decorated with photos and memories of the local high school teams. It's always good to see support for local small shops, and what they provide to the local community. I ordered their pastrami sandwich which is one of their hot sandwiches and it tasted great. I get everything on it- lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers. Definitely will be back to try their other subs. Tip #2: if you pay with cash, you get a small discount off your order.

Alright y'all, we were visiting some friends in Round Rock and Hoody's was pretty hyped up. The…read moremenu is straight to the point, with hot or cold sandwiches. The place is located in a strip mall, sort of a hole-in-the-wall feel with booth seating lining each side leading up to the ordering counter. We called ahead for take-out right at lunch time and were quoted 25 minutes. Boy was I glad we called it in, because the place was absolutely packed on a Thursday -- which is the day of the philly cheesesteak daily special. I tried a chicken cheesesteak just as it comes on the menu with mushrooms, onions, peppers. Not gonna lie, I was very underwhelmed with the sandwich. The cheese was only melted to the bun, not mixed into the meat like typical cheesesteaks. The chicken tasted bland. And for some reason, the mushrooms, onions, and peppers were chopped so finely it felt like a relish dressing on the sandwich. Overall, just not very good. I'm wondering if it was an off day based on the reviews and the amount of hype this sub shop received from our friends.

Somehow we just learned about this place, and I wish we would have known sooner. My Husband has…read morebeen craving a Chicago dog since the last Chicago eatery closed their doors years ago. When we found out, we rushed over for a Father's day meal. The atmosphere was pretty cool, interesting pictures on the walls, someone put a lot of effort, time and thought into the decorating of this establishment. All men running the joint, we told the guy who took our order(who was very nice), it was our first time here. They have been in business for 16 years(not at this location)! So lets get down to the food. My Husband ordered the two dog combo, one a Chicago dog, another a sauerkraut dog, it came with fries. He sad the dogs were amazing, they hit all the marks. The fries were ok, a little room temp(but to be fare we came there 30 minutes before closing). The soda's were really great, not two sirupy, not too carbonated, we enjoyed them. I ordered a pizza with Italian sausage added. They gave us our drinks for free, which was awesome. I didn't know what to expect with the pizza, but I was blown away by it. They should be very proud of the recipe they created. Most places over season/spice their sauces. The flavor of the tomato gets drowned out. This was absolutely not the case the sauce did not sow out the crust whatsoever it held its crisp the whole time. The sausage was wonderful. The cheese was everything you wanted on a pizza. I can say it's the best than crust pizza I think I've ever had. My husband tried it and we fought over who was going to be eating it for lunch tomorrow. It was huge. I wasn't expecting it to be that big. I will be dreaming about that pizza, and craving it. This is my go to place to get good pizza. It blows Nikki's out of the water. If you are craving some good then crust, pizza, or hotdog I suggest you go there. They also have chili fries, cheesesteaks, so much. They have one of those menus, where everything looks good, and it's hard to decide. Just try it. Warning, this pizza is 14 in(seemed bigger), and it being thin crust, and tasting so good, you might find yourself eating the whole thing. Wish we had pics to post, but we did not think of doing it, will do next time(which will probably be later this week, it was that good).

Food came out quick. My sandwich was good and the fries were great. The decor was really cool and…read moregave me some entertainment while i waited. Service was fast but I didnt like the soliciting for a tip by the cashier. Nothing more- nothing less. Simple and plain. Nothing in depth to write about. *Business manager doesn't like anything less than a glowing review. Oh well, 3 stars ain't bad.

A great sandwich shop for a quick and satisfying meal! They have plenty of seating inside and a few…read moretables outside as well. Their service can be inconsistent though as the first time we came here, it was slow. However our second time here was completely different (different staff were working); the girls were quick and efficient. That being said, their food quality each time was pretty consistent which was a plus! We had their Firehouse meatball on garlic bread and Firehouse steak & cheese. Both were delicious. You can choose your bread (white, wheat, or gluten-free), and we went with wheat. I really love their bread as it has the perfect chew to it. The meatball sub was good but a bit too salty which was a mistake on my part to order it on garlic bread which was already salted. We went there again the next day, and got the same steak & cheese (with double meat) because we really liked it and also tried their Jamaican Jerk turkey, it was pleasantly good and lightly sweet (from their sweet mustard sauce) but not what you would expect from anything that has word "Jamaican jerk" in it as it has no kick and is not dry. I also got their garlic bread which was so good (crispy edges and soft inside)

If I could leave zero stars I would. I placed a pick up order at 12:02 for lunch. It's 12:41 and…read moreI'm standing at the end of the counter still waiting with 7 other people who also placed orders at noon. Not one order has come up since we have been standing here. Never again!
