Have done quite a bit of business with this Subway, however today I was shocked at the service.
Ordered three sandwiches, two were made by one girl, the third was made by I'm sure a new employee who apparently did not know how to prepare sandwiches correctly. As she cut the bread she was so shallow with her cut on the top it was barely enough bread to hold together. This sandwich was a meatball which comes with sauce that I was concerned wouldn't hold together. With the possibilities of dropping hot sauce on my lady's lap. I mentioned to her there is a prominent line in the bread showing where to cut. She froze, said nothing or did nothing--Tru was her name. I waited after no response from any of the people behind the counter I let her continue to see if the sandwich held up after she completed it. The sandwich was wrapped before I could verify this. I asked to speak to manager and it must have been "whose day is it to be the manager." No one stepped up. I repeated myself and finally one employee stepped up and then a different person from the first one. I knew that this was not going to go well. I explained let's move out of line as not to enter fear with other patrons. She was hesitant but followed me to a table away from customers after I politely asked twice.
I was expecting a reply when I showed her my issue as expected the sandwich was held together only by the cheese. I was explaining and addressed the line in the bread where all my other sandwich's were split long way. She immediately snapped and said that's the way they cut the bread referring to the one in question. She was a young kid with no management background, I'm positive. If so, she's failing. I made a comment: "It's evident you're not going to help me," She said okay and walked away. I was expecting a "We will make you another if you're not happy." evidently, not the procedure in this store or hers. I asked for the owners name and got nothing so I asked her name (no name tag or hat) hair coverage is required I believe in most restaurants by the way) of prep food handlers. She like the rest of the crew was quiet upkeep and questionable to be handling food. She said no way so I pulled out my phone to snap her pic she retreated to kitchen before I took pic. Another kid not sure boy or girl except lots of tats, piercing and multi colored hair unwashed and greasy, (every business owners first choice of employee, "NOT" told me boldly I couldn't take pics in store. I replied I believe I can as no postings to the contrary on glass at front of store identifying franchise or corporate operations. Also no postings of owners name inside as most qualified restaurants do. She made me aware she would call the cops and I said do it. Before I realized it these kids were going to make a screaming match out of this stupid issue. No offer to make me a new one just stone face defiance.
Service sucks these days and kids don't respect anyone not even themselves the way they act, dress and lack of discipline. Only trying to get over on the old man (75).
Lack of qualified personnel in this store. All defiant children raised by single parent homes who don't care, I'm sure. And a franchise owner who really doesn't care or employees would not treat the public this way.
I left as not to create a bigger scene than was already unfolding. Thinking I would call Corporate afterwards; *wrong*, corporate does not post phone numbers anywhere online. I expect a the large amount of complaints can justify them not caring either how franchises conduct their business representing Subway. What company with any business sense doesn't post a customer service number?
So as a consumer I have a choice I will not spend my money with that label anywhere and start sharing my experience as I'm doing here with intent of distracting other from patronizing this or any subway location especially this one. Freedom of speech feels good.
I will continue to spread the word as they say " He told someone and he told someone etc" you get the idea, I hope! read more
