As this location is off I-65 between Nashville and Bowling Green (well, by way of 10 minute detour but I'm often in Portland anyway) I've eaten here about 4 times over the past few years as, other than Dairy Queen, it's by far the best in and out fast food choice on this particular stretch of highway. This particular location is clean, staff is friendly enough, and drive through is prompt. The food, as at all Arby's, is a bit pricier than many of its fast food competitors but they usually use better quality ingredients than say BK or McDys. I had my heart set on a Smoke Mountain sandwich which they've been advertising (and still at this time placed highly on their website) but this location didn't appear to have it for some reason. Settled on a brisket sandwich which was surprisingly good for fast food brisket. Curly fries and cheese sticks were great as always (more akin to bar quality than FF). The sandwich was a bit on the smallish side for the price (north of $9).

Had a taste for a Whopper tonight I knew rolling up out of Nashville soon as I cross into Kentucky at Franklin the old key stop has a Burger King in here that's usually 24 hours unless someone pulls a no-show. As I mentioned this Burger King is separate not owned by the key stop it's run by a regular corporation but it does share the same building as the fuel stop. I walked in was very impressed at how clean it was it was a little bit of a crowd but they were rocking out orders real quick including the drive-thru. I ordered up a number one one of my favorites just a straight Whopper and cheese mine is pickling onion french fries with no salt and drink I went with a small size cuz I wasn't super side hungry. Fries were nice hot and fresh unsalted the Whopper was delicious the quality was really good compared to few I've been in two in the past. I also have to note that the meat was very fresh tasting and the lettuce was good and the tomatoes were really nice red and fresh The shift that's working here in the early evening hours definitely on the ball. We addressed it with the waitress, and replacement tacos were brought out. The second order was hot, but when I bit into it, hot water/liquid came out of the meat and it was completely unseasoned. It was honestly disgusting. The "street corn" was also disappointing. It appeared to be canned corn that had simply been warmed up with mayonnaise and Tajín. It was not grilled or even pan fried, which is what we expected. The carne asada plate was barely warm as well and unfortunately not edible. We chose to just pay the bill and leave. There seemed to be a language barrier, and we did not feel additional complaints would have been clearly understood or addressed. The waitress also never acknowledged that almost none of the food had been eaten or asked if there was an issue when we left everything behind and did not take anything to go.
