Also, the fried rice was like steamed white rice with no carrots or peas. I was raised that the customer was always right and to fix a problem when one arose. Last week I was in Goodlettsville for business and I saw China Cottage in the same center. It was lunchtime and I went in to see what was on the menu. I opted for this dish that was mainly bell pepper, mushrooms, onion, a few scallops and sliced beef in a brown sauce. While it was tasty, I thought it would not stand up against any of the Asian cuisine I was used to eating in the San Gabriel Valley. The owners of the restaurant are very kind and go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. They even opened up a buffet when we asked for one, but it had to close because they did not have enough business to support it and too much food was going to waste. This is unfortunate because many of the items on the buffet were wonderful and not something you would order every day. We have watched their children grow up and now our working the family business themselves and doing a great job.
