We weren't blown away by our sandwiches, but we did think the bread was particularly good. Very fresh and the flavor was brilliant. The ambiance is so unique and pretty, and our server was wonderful. We hadn't realized what an absolutely amazing sando it was going to be. The soup was delicious but the sandwich was an out of body experience. It left us wanting MOAR. As did the cinnamon bun which came incredibly close to the dough I remember my Grandmother making. I can see we will be driving out to High River again. We will take the littles with us to try that super cool ice cream bar at Evelyn's.

Hands-down best sandwich I've had in a long time. Had the Who Knew? with the daily special soup (mushroom barley). Only disappointment was my drink. Ordered a sangria lemonade but they were out, so asked for raspberry lemonade instead. It tasted more cherry and was heavy on the syrup. Daughter had the Close Cut with a Rick's salad for the side (small upcharge). The salad alone was hearty enough for a meal. Sandwich was good, but she said next time she'd order something she couldn't make at home. Decor is fun--and probably would have more meaning for us if we had seen The Last of Us. Definitely recommend a stop--but not if you're in a rush. Enjoy and savor!

The 1762 from Earl has been stuck in my head and I can't wait to try it again. Succulent roast beef with sharp cheddar and a tangy horseradish sauce, commingling toasty in a soft bun. I've mentioned here before that I'm not a huge fan of hot subs. But, EoS has won me over. The Holiday Turkey Sandwich gets reviews as "the best sandwich I ever had" online so I wanted to try it. I make a mean turkey leftover sandwich so the first day I thought it was "ok". But the 2nd day I heated the other half up, and it had me SINGING. The sando's are tightly wrapped in paper and foil so they arrived in perfect shape even for take-out (delivery) across the city.
