I discovered this Subway location near my workplace recently. This location is literally a hidden gem because you have to go via the Subway (MTA) entrance to find it. After a few minutes of searching for the actual location, I walked in to order my meal. I went with one of my go-to sandwiches; Tuna Melt on a Herbs and Cheese Footlong. I also ordered a couple of Macadamia Nut cookies with a bottle of Dole Lemonade. I actually dined in to enjoy my meal as opposed to taking it to go. Overall, I enjoyed dining in but it did get noisy from a crowd of school children outside of the Subway. Also, a homeless person came in during my meal asking for some of my food and left a bad odor inside. Aside from this, the staff was nice and helpful. I was able to scan my Rewards card for points on my order. I will return here but more than likely get my meal to go. This has been the worst subway so far... the service 0 starts if I could... we were the only customers in the store and we had to repeat our order 4 times; they didn't know what to do and where switching ingredients one after the other till the reach the "recipe". We asked them to please make both orders Toasted or Hot and not given them cold but still it was really cold... when we asked them if they actually toasted or even put them in the oven the answer was "yes but the items on the other side (tomato lettuce and 2 sauces added) are really cold and make them sandwich cold" like please, the bread meat and cheese were cold AF. read more

One of the best subways in Manhattan. They don't have a staff but 7 of online and things ran smoothly . The fact that's always so busy shows they are even more "fresh" lol get it . Minutes one star for not having ice and soda and too sugary . I've been to gourmet deli's where I'd be over 20 something dollars for a sandwich tuna that is and it was not even as fresh as subways. What i respect about the folks who work for me is not the job they do cause they stink at it, what I respect is whatever I bring them for lunch they always enjoy it and its must likely cause its free .I stopped by subways on the east side and 3rd Ave to pick up 5 footlongs with turkey and Swiss all the way with every toppings in the house . A little bummed out they didn't have my apple pie but the cookies ain't bad for second choice . Subways is one of the few fast food chains that let folks eat in and from all the taken tables its not a lie. As I stated before its not grade A cold cuts but for 8 bucks a foot long can't really expect much otherwise. Gave each slacker a sandwich when I got back to the office and for them free taste much better but don't touch my cookies. First off, this location is inside the 875 3rd Ave building and is downstairs in the cafeteria. Rating Subway food is pretty normal as you can see what goes into your food as they build your sandwich, so average amount of stars for that. I placed an order online for this location and it actually wasn't ready when i arrived. But the employee was very apologetic and professional which made me not angry that they hadn't seen the ticket. He built my sandwich very fast and it only cost me a few extra minutes. Kudos to this location for great customer service! read more

Got a tuna subway here two firdays ago and it was pretty good. I have also liked the taste of subway tuna and if I get Subway (which isn't very often) I stick with the tuna. It happened to be that Tuna $6 foot long day so I got a foot long subway. I got lettuce, onion, and tomato on it and It was pretty good. I may have to go back another Friday because $6 for that much food in Midtown is a good price! read more

They have reopened a nicer walk-in store in the subway section of 875 Third Ave but you can walk right back over into the atrium 20 feet away to sit down and eat. The Covid renovation of the atrium is nicer too. Great friendly team working here and the sandwiches are great meeting the Subway brand standards. read more

I used to eat at Subway every day for work in high school and then every night when I lived on the UES (I got home late so I wasn't in the mood to make food) and I can honestly say that this place has made the best sub I've ever had at a Subway. The ingredients were unbelievably fresh and an awesome value compared to anything I've gotten around here. Obviously if you don't like Subway you probably won't like this, but I'd recommend this to anyone who doesn't completely hate their food. I'll definitely be coming back here to get my sandwich fix from now on. read more

THEY MAKE A MEAN SAMMICH! You go downstairs an office building to the food court area. The sammich prep folks are much more meticulous than the one on 3rd&56st, which spreads your fixins haphazardly like they are in a rush to catch a plane or something. I always get the Roast Chicken, even though it's piecemealed chicken breast, since it's maximum meatage for buckage. You get one breast patty per 6" sub. It's either that or a mystery bbq rib sammich. Definitely ask for your sub to be toasted. It only takes 30 seconds. Now that I can get a footlong for $5, it's a great deal for lunch. This place also honors all Subway coupons so sometimes you can get 2-for-1 footlongs. In addition, you can get two 6" subs for $5 after 5pm here. I ask for all the fixins (minus jalapenos, raw onion) as that's the only way I'll meet my veggie quota for the day. I always ask for the Southwest sauce and black pepper on top. I know it's bad for you but at least nothing is fried or oily in this sammich. Guessing that footlong is roughly a 750 calorie meal if you drink water. I'm always tempted to fuck with them just for the hell of it and ask for an ABLT or something. You see all walks of life here: 1) That one sista who never wanted anything to begin with. They get her order right but she says that's not what she ordered and walks away. 2) The corporate yuppie who wants to eat somewhat healthy to maintain his/her girlish figure 3) Those greedy fucks that ask for more fixins. The quality of the ingredients has gone steadily down the past few years, so I wasn't expecting much; but $5.19 is way over-priced. Keep it at $4.99 and I wouldn't flinch. Now that I work in this building, it is oh so convenient to have a Subways literally 90 seconds away downstairs in the food court! Especially now that winter's finally here, I dont have to trek out in the horrible weather conditions to get lunch. With my hectic schedule and little time for lunch, I must come here 2-3 times a week....quality of food is A-OK, service is friendly and fast, and they even introduced me to the Subways card, of which I've gotten 2 free sandwiches in the past 6 weeks. Definitely the best Subway around. The people who work there (presumably a family that owns it, and others) are very nice and extremely efficient. I go there once a week or every few weeks, and I'm consistently recognized and greeted, and the service is super-quick and accurate. You can get to it by entering 875 Third Avenue (office building) and taking the escalator or a stairwell down to the food court, or by entering the office building directly from the subway station, which leads straight into the food court. read more

This Subway is not up to par with any of the other Subways I've frequented. Twice I've chosen this location over the one right across the street, and both times I was disappointed. The bread was stale, stale, stale...as I was eating it, it was crumbling in my hand. Just awful. My co-worker informed me that she doesn't patronize this particular location for this exact reason. I got burned twice, and will never go back. If you're in the area, stick with the one on 52nd Street a few stores West of Third Avenue. So much better. read more

The owner of this place is a nice guy, and quite proud of what he does, and it shows. They do a lot of business, but do it with friendliness and efficiency. As far as the food goes, it's a Subway, very much like any other. It helps to know what you want before you order; I usually let other people get in line in front of me while I decide (I particularly like the wraps and the salad plates; you can have any sandwich as a salad, if you like). I work in the area and go to Subway pretty often due to the convenience and price. After finding a bug in one of my sandwiches at the Subway closest to where I work, I had to look for a new place to get my sandwiches. This is by far and away the best Subway restaurant in the area - consistently quick and friendly service, always stocked with all the ingredients, generous with the toppings, and they have soft and gooey chocolate chip cookies. This location is awesome it's very close to my office and the employees are quick. The restaurant is clean and I love walking in smelling the fresh bread. The display is clean and everytime I have ordered I never seen old or bruised vegetables. I highly recommend this location. read more
