It occured to me recently that I've never written a review for this place and I'm torn. I mean, what exactly does one write? Everyone has at one time or another been in a Subway or at least has a general idea about what they offer. That being said, this is likely the restaurant I eat at most often as my mom and have a weekly lunch date here. And have for years.
I suspect most Subways I would give three stars to - with a handful only geeting a couple of stars owing to either cleanliness or service issues. I'm giving this one a four. The truth of the matter is that the bread, meat and fixings always seem fresh. I can only think of a couple of times in what has to be well over a hundred vistis that I've picked to odd tomato or bit of a lettuce off. The food is consistently quite good. As well, the prices are pretty hard to beat - I mean five bucks for a footlong?
This location is always kept very clean but the most important thing is the staff. A large majority of them have worked at this location for as long as I can remember and our always friendly. They remember your name, your preferences and even ask about your kids or recent events in your life. No joke - I think my mom even drops off Christmas cards for them every year. If you're looing for a fast, cheap and easy meal downtown you could certainly do a lot worse than this place. It doesn't have a lot of tables but it makes a great excuse to make it a picnic when the weather is nice. read more
