I sent my husband to get us subs from this subway. He came home upset stating that the staff working there is very rude. A guy complained making my sub bc I like a lot of veggies and asked my husband "Why didn't you just order everything?" Very rudely. The older lady working there also complained while wrapping my sandwich. This isn't the first complaint I've heard about the older lady working there. She seems to hate her job and is not customer friendly. Historically, my Subway experiences have been satisfactory. Today, however, my experience at this location was very different - and not in a good way. The girl (young but no lady) talked very fast and didn't listen very well. As a senior citizen, that's two problems right there. I presented a coupon which entitled me to a free foot-long with the purchase of a foot-long and a fountain drink. In response to my questions about the specifics of the offer, she told me to "read the fine print" - also a problem for most seniors. After I selected and she made the subs, she directed me to scan the coupon, on which was printed "Offer expires 6/13/2024", which is today. In the past, I've used promotional coupons on the day of expiration at Subways as well as other locations, and was never questioned about it. However, this girl told me that the coupon was invalid. She showed me the message on her computer, and kept telling me "I just work here". When I pressed the matter, she called her "manager" and proceeded to misquote statements I had made regarding the validity of the coupon and the manager's discretion in resolving the matter. When I raised my voice in an attempt to correct her misquotes, she told me she was leaving and to talk to me like an adult, which I had done from the beginning. She disappeared into the back and never returned, so I left the location, with the subs (I assume) sitting on the counter and going to waste. Shame on Subway for hiring such a rude person! She doesn't "just work here" - she represents Subway. And shame on Subway for programming their system to expire coupons before the expiration day is over! I went across the street and placed my lunch order with a competitor. Just thought you'd want to know why Subway is losing business to places like Chik Fil A and Wawa, where I will buy all my subs in the future. Have a good day! read more

Absolutely disgusting. The old guy behind the counter would sham wash his hands (splash of water, no soap) and when he bypassed the gloves and handled the bread for my sandwich I asked if I could have a different loaf, preferably after he wash his hands and grab some gloves. He then yelled at me "I've had enough and don't want to hear anymore" - at that point I decided a mediocre $5 sandwich was not something I really needed. I'd avoid this place at all costs. The food is usually pretty good. The service though.... not very good. I have been there many times and consistently see a lack in customer service. One of the associates actually made me wait at the counter for about a minute and a half so they could take a personal cell phone call and when the answered, they actually said "no it's OK I'm not busy." On another occasion, when I was paying for my sub at Subway, the cashier noticed somebody waiting to pay at the sweet frog register and said to whoever was listening, "wow she should really know to call someone over there to ring her up instead of just waiting." IT IS NOT THE CUSTOMER'S job to ask for help!!!! I think the employees should not have their personal cell phones on them and should definitely wear a smile more often and be thankful for their job. read more

I was really disappointed with this Subway. Its part of a gas station, so that's problem one, old and run down. As I am paying for my sandwich, gentleman behind the register is picking his nose. Old guy, Behind the register... I am tripping. I almost walked out.. I could barely touch my credit card. Does anybody know anything about germs? So I get over it and eat, and watch. Old guys does not wash his hands and starts messing with all the food. Replacing the tubs of olives etc... touches money, then touches food. No gloves and no hand washing... It is a small town, gas station, subway. What do you expect? It isn't going to be the best ever.

I have visited this site and the adjacent Sweet Frog many times as a resident. No more. The food is like any Subway franchise, but the service and attitude of the staff are horrible. They are unfriendly, unwelcoming, and often rude. They are consistently unpleasant. I am finished going to this location. There are better places welcoming to customers. This site survives because many customers are travelers exiting the interstate for a one-time stop. I give one star since that seems to be the option for the rating system. I would give zero stars to reflect the customer experience. read more

122 S. Main St, Lexington location is terrible. I went in today around noon. The staff didn't look up from working on an online order. No "hello", no "we'll be right with you"... nothing. After 5 minutes, a lady comes over... What type of bread can I get you? I stated that I'd like a salad. The lady told the other staffperson to make my salad and told her how to make it. I'm thinking...she's new.. ok, let's see how this goes. Well, the young lady made my salad, forgot I ordered tuna (I'm pescatarian) and added teriyaki chicken on top. The staff person corrected her. Well, she dug in my food, ( gloved hands, but still) got the chicken out, and threw it back in with the rest of the chicken and then scooped on the tuna. My bag was handed to the (manager?) and she piled on my chips and cookie. Then she noticed that the top to my salad wasn't affixed. She took all of my stuff out of the bag, grumbled and shot the young lady some serious side eye (still not properly latching my salad top as I later discovered) and rang up my food. Absolutely horrible. I've got 30 minutes before close and they have completely locked up shop. One time they even refused me service as they were making a sandwhich for someone ahead of me and told me they were the last one. Just tonight, I went in at 8:30, saw someone eating a sandwich outside, and was told that they closed at 8 pm on Sundays during winter hours. The hours posted outside begged to differ. read more

Poor service and Aimee is an extremely rude employee. She needs to take a customer service course on professionalism. Especially if she's going to continue working with customers. I know we've all had our bad days and we get tired but that's no excuse to slam lunch meat into a sandwich and ask rudely what do you want in your sandwich.
