I understand McDonald's is a fast-food restaurant, so my expectations aren't very high. However, I am paying for a service, not to hear yelling in the kitchen or employees complaining about their jobs constantly, even when they are off the clock. This has been a very disappointing experience with cold food and unprofessional behavior. As a manager at a bar and grill, I strive to keep both my staff and myself professional at all times. I believe this location has a lot of room for improvement. McDonald's, please do better.

One waitress, taking our order, asked if we would like anything to drink before our orders come out. I asked for coffee, She remembered that I did not like the brand of coffee there, mentioned that fact, and asked if I then asked if I would rather have something else. The coffee is fine, but just not my preferred. And just that one time I mentioned my preference, from over a month before, she remembered, and THAT is what customer service is all about. The Food has been very tasty, amount is satisfyingly, and the price is reasonable (competitive with other like franchise restaurants). The waitress didn't fill my drink when it was empty and the total came out to 28 dollars, before tip. That's ridiculous for some pasta lettuce and soda for one person. The waitress helped the lady who continued, along whomever was eating with her, continued to complain about everything they could, including that the burgers were flat (had they even eaten here before?) My husband and I were driving from Kansas City to Chicago, had left KC around 4:30, and were exhausted and hungry when we finally stopped at KFC right around 9:00. When we walked in and realized they were closing, we started to walk back out, but the employees stopped us and said they'd be willing to serve us. Not only did they make our food fresh and with a smile, they allowed us to sit in the restaurant and eat while they cleaned in preparation for closing. I know what a pain is it for people in customer service when people come in at closing, but these employees handled the inconvenience with grace and good cheer. It really made an impression on me--I still remember it, obviously, and I believe this was August 2014--and I just want to say thank you for taking care of us when we really needed a pick-me-up.
