Placed pick up order on Subway.com, Saturday, 11/5/22 at 7:03 pm. The pickup was for 7:35 pm. As with most online food orders one pays online receiving a confirmation # and email receipt. I entered 6212 Old Madison Pike Subway at 7:12 pm. The older clerk's name NATASHA is in her late 40s is under 5 feet tall. I'm 5'2" so I easily discern her height hence she is obviously shorter than me. She wore a discombobulated glossy black wig and grey contacts. The other Subway employee was a tall slender young college student who is always pleasant, affable, well-spoken and intelligent through my previous interactions and observations with other customers.
My complaint regards solely NATASHA who was rude, defiant and dismissive. I told her I placed an online order. I always offer to show my cell phone screen with my online Subway receipt. They never request it. Natasha stated she could not locate my order as she fiddled with the register. I explained I just order and have proof of the completed online transaction.
Natasha wasn't apologetic or concerned about resolving the matter. I was perplexed an employee was so nonchalant. I explained in a nice but firm manner that I paid for an order and expect to receive my order. Natasha made incoherent mutterings, and I asked her to contact her manager or the owner about my transaction so my sandwich could be prepared. She was not interested in resolution and ranted I could come back tomorrow (Sunday) to see the manager. I told Natasha this is unacceptable.
I seriously contemplated calling the police. This is fraud if they failed to make my order. I did explain to the Natasha surely, she was trained on how to professionally resolve such matters. I stood quietly at the register giving the older clerk direct eye contact as she incoherently ranted about not being able to locate my order and uttering "don't know why she can't come back tomorrow." It is imperative the reader comprehend; I provided my transaction # and my cell phone to show my completed order Subway receipt email. Natasha wouldn't look at my cell phone or look at me at this point.
I was the only customer in the store. The father and sister of the college student who is an employee were sitting diagonally across from the cash register. He was attentively listening. Natasha ran to the back; the father gave me a look as if "you are dealing with a moron." I had no intention of leaving the restaurant until a Subway employee contacted their manager. Natasha shouted I could call Subway to get a refund. I said, "no I will wait for you to do your job." She also insinuated that I didn't really pay for the order. Keep in mind I am regular. Natasha was offered the transaction # and order information from my email Subway receipt from my cell phone. Natasha said, I could give her any receipt number. She needs to be unemployed.
I was recording (audio only) the conversation. Not sure, if she was aware though. Natasha was vulgar (sent this to corporate).
I feel sorry for the college student who works with her. She took initiative and handled the transaction. We were all the same phenotype. I wonder if I were another phenotype if the older rude employee would have been professional and proactive in resolving the glitch. The college student did contact the owner. She also apologized for her the rude behavior of her colleague. She communicated via cell phone with her manager, inputted my receipt information and eventually located my order. There was a technical glitch which delayed the transmission of the transaction I was told. She made my order. I thanked her. She exhibited professionalism and maturity in handling a difficult situation with finesse.
My negative review and score are a 100% reflection of my experience with Natasha. Wasted so much time. I won't return. I forwarded a complaint to corporate and complete audio as well. read more
