If chicken isn't your thing then this isn't your place. If you are vegetarian, this really isn't your place. If you do like chicken, now this IS your place. The hand breaded strips are the star here - you can order them in any quantity. You can order fresh fries, fresh made onion rings, fresh made fried pickles and/or house made chips. You can't go wrong with any of these. There are also grilled strips available - marinated and juicy, these are my go-to. Last visit I ordered three strips and took 1 1/2 home - they're pretty large. There are several sauces available too, including a house sauce and a hot Nashville sauce. Both are excellent. Finally, don't miss the frozen custard. Once again, made fresh in house, you have your choice of chocolate, vanilla and the flavor of the day - today is was raspberry which was the bomb. In town visiting my daughter who has relocated to the Huntsville area. She is a die hard Raisin Canes lover. And has missed that type of food since relocating. We found Super Chix on Yelp. Her second love to chicken strips is cheese fries so Super Chix seemed like the perfect place!! Let me tell you it was truly the perfect place!!! I ordered the chicken slider. The Hawaiian Rolls were fluffier than clouds! And the garlic Aioli was so flavorful. My daughter who hates mayo ended up taking half my sandwich!!! We got a large order of loaded fries. They were huge!! You better plan on sharing! The fries appear to be hand cut, as they have large bags of potatoes sitting around. They are thin like a shoestring fry. They were so crispy and smothered in cheese and bacon. They were generous with the toppings. The custards looked so good. But was to full to try this visit. ONE WORD: CRISPY AVOCADO!!! (Okay, that's two words lol) Let me tell you about my experience! So I first stumbled across Super Chix a couple of months ago. I was honestly not impressed but decided to give them a third chance and I can definitely tell that they are under new management or something because I noticed many changes. Fast forward a couple of months, I absolutely LOVE this place. Every time I order, I do order ahead because I'm not too comfortable with the crowd of people who are dining in. I do think that there are way too many parties(groups) dining in with their masks off at one time but I do notice it is always very organized. I HAVE to give credit to the manager(I assume due to his different color shirt) and the employees who are on standby all the time, to assist those dining in or those who order take out so you can be catered to and not have to wait for the cashier taking the other people's order. I really love the service and how polite everyone is. I've ordered at least 7 different meals and I truly enjoyed eating all of them. If you couldn't already tell, the Crispy Avocado is my fav and I've never seen anything like it. The garlic aioli is A1!! I also love all of their salads!! You may think the portions are small but they really aren't. When you empty it into a bowl, you really see how much you're getting. HAVE A SWEET TOOTH?? Try the custard!!! Gonna bring my review up to a 5 - Super Chix has become a favorite of ours in the time since they've opened. Their curbside pickup service is excellent. The food is always fresh, hot, and ready on time. The employees have been courteous, friendly, and cheerful, even when they had to come out in the rain to bring our food to us once. The online ordering system is easy to use, too. We always get tenders and fries, with a very occasional custard or shake as a treat. The tenders are succulent, juicy, and large. My tenders haven't ever been greasy like they were on our very first visit in our many more recent visits, and I've grown to enjoy / appreciate the slightly sweeter breading on them. My small complaint over the fries frequently containing too many smaller fry pieces still stands, but it's a relatively minor annoyance. Serving sizes are ample on the normal portion! Weird/random bonus points: for whatever reason, their soda is AWESOME. It's standard Pepsi products (my preference), but something about the ratios is just...really good. Ya know the stereotype about McDonald's having the best Coke? It's like that. The custard is rich and silky and the milkshakes are super creamy. I suppose the prices are a bit high when compared to somewhat similar tenders and chicken sandwich spots, but I ultimately feel that the quality of the food and excellent service makes it a more than worthy trade. The inside of the restaurant, back when we were eating inside, was always clean. There's not a TON of seating, but enough to be comfortable if they're not slammed. I must say that the restaurant was really clean and the service was pretty good. The only reason why I am rating it the way I am is because I simply was not impressed by the food personally. I tried the Nashville (not so hot) chicken lol. It wasn't the typical "Nashville hot" level that I was expecting, and I am pretty much a wimp when it comes to hot foods. The server told me that it was the hottest thing on the menu, so for everyone that likes things with a little bit of a kick this is the sandwich for you! I loved how it was extremely juicy and very flavorful though.. the fries on the other hand were a bit much. I ordered the Cajun fries and they filled a very generous portion of fries in my Togo bag and they were just extremely salty and greasy. I just ended up throwing them away truthfully. Yes...5 stars. I have eaten Super Chix half a dozen times (4 pre-COVID and 2 after) and it isn't on my side of town. The staff are friendly, the food is consistently good, the facility is clean, and in the time or COVID-19 they observe all precautions plus some to insure everyone's protection. I loved the first thing that I tried and I have been reluctant to try something different because it is soooo good. I have tried both the grilled and fried version of the Cheesy BBQ Chicken and like them both equally. It is rare that you find grilled yardbird that's as good as fried, but if you want or need a healthier alternative, this is your place..their grilled chicken is great. My son has tried straight up Chicken strips and loves them--especially the ranch dressing, which is phenomenal. They don't offer grilled fries that I am aware of :), but their fries are fantastic and unique. The atmosphere inside is good, and service is always attentive. The only caution that I have--and this is no reflection on food or normal circumstance--their webapp, while convenient, can cause confusion. I have used it once and was pleased with it--very well organized, intuitive, and smooth--until checkout. It complained of a time out when I tried to submit my order and indicated that something went wrong. I checked my card and didn't have a charge and I had no email. I guess I should have waited longer, but I didn't. I repeated the order with an unintentional minor variant and it was successful. That seemed to clear some pathways and I suddenly had two of everything..two emails// two charges //two orders. I had to go in and work with them to cancel one, but they worked with me without issue. It is certainly not worth taking a star away for a bonus service, though. Five stars for what it is--Excellent place to visit with your family! read more

I arrived early to beat the crowd and that was a smart move as the restaurant filled up quickly. I ordered three fried chicken fingers and cajun fries. The food came to the table after a little wait; the wait wasn't quick and it wasn't slow. The food was very hot and obviously just came from the fryer. The chicken tenders were fat, juicy, and very fresh. The fries were plentiful and had the perfect amount of cajun seasoning. The restaurant offers 7 different sauces. I tried the honey mustard and Super Chix Signature Sauce. I liked the Signature Sauce the best. I'm not sure what is in it, but it was very good. I decided to give this place two chances before I gave my review. Now I want to say the customer service here is outstanding. What an exceptional group of servers handling and interacting with customers from ordering and making sure the food was okay. On my first stop, I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Now I'm a huge fan of Nashville spicy hot chicken sandwiches and I must say say I was not too impressed with the sandwich itself. It felt like I was biting through air and there was no crunch biting into the sandwich. It was just bland to me. My last stop by I got the chicken tenders and fries. The chicken tenders look enticing but they really just didn't hit for me. The fries were good but I suggest asking for the seasonings on the side. My wife and I visited Super Chix for a to go dinner on a recent trip to Huntsville. We were appreciative of the Covid protocols in place including having their staff wear face masks and having available outdoor seating. This is essentially a fast food chicken sandwich and shake restaurant. I ordered the Nashville Hot Sandwich and Fried Pickles. The sandwich was ok but the chicken was a little on the mushy side. The pickles did have a nice tang but the breading was soggy. The French fries were my favorite part of the meal. Overall, the food was average and I would prefer to go to Chic-Fil-A or PDQ instead. read more

I saw this was a new restaurant and thought it would be great to try. There are so many options for chicken, and each one looks and smells delicious! I ended up trying the fried tenders Nashville style and having the side of Cajun fries. I was very happy with the amount of flavor and spiciness both delivered. Someone at my table got fried pickles to try; they were good, but we preferred them to be a little thinner and more breading. I really agonized over three or four stars, I wish I could go three and a half. The restaurant is of the new school of fast food; you enter the serpentine as soon as you enter the restaurant and choose from a menu on three giant televisions mounted in portrait mode, then place your order. There's no sound abatement at all, concrete floor, metal chairs, lots of glass. That means a lot of ambient noise making conversation difficult. As for the food, there's only so much you can do with chicken - grilled or fried. My brother opted for grilled and I choose fried. I found the breading to be tasty but both our selections seemed a little dry and tough to chew. Super Chix specializes in frozen custard. Being from Milwaukee, where frozen custard is more a religious experience than a menu item, we're kinda fussy. We both ordered shakes, mint for him and strawberry for me. Shakes were smooth and flavorful but the frozen custard was riddled with ice crystals. From what I understand, they do great French Fries. Before I go home, I'd like to give Super Chix another chance. I think I'll just order fries and a shake next time, and see if the ice crystals in the frozen custard last time was just a fluke. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that fried chicken is NOT my go-to. The attraction was the frozen custard, but i'll get to that later. The fries (and I'm a fry snob) were good, but the thing that bugged me was the portion. I got the regular size and it was a stupid amount of food. HALF of those went into the garbage. That's not "good value". That's waste. Make a small size size available for $1.75 and folks will buy it. So, on top of the various oils in my gut, I added some frozen custard to the mix. It had plenty of milkfat in it - like sweet vanilla butter! One of the simple pleasures. Service was good, and the place was clean. I liked that I could eat outside. read more

If someone asked me to describe Super Chix to them, I would describe it as a Chick-fil-a/Five Guys mashup with better sauce. I ordered the Simple Fried Chicken sandwich with a side of Rosemary Pepper fries. My sandwich was INCREDIBLE, so I have since gone back to the restaurant several more times. The piece of fried chicken that was placed upon my delicious sandwich bun was HUGE, but I did not struggle to finish it because of how great it tasted. The rosemary pepper fries were also top notch, although now that I have gone to the restaurant a few more times, I know that the Regular Salt with cheese fries are my staple. Super Chix also offers an unlimited sauce bar that has a wide variety of sauces! I enjoyed their Signature Sauce the best, but also loved their unique Nashville Hot that certainly had a kick to it. Of course I could not leave the restaurant without having tried one of their famous custards, so once I finished devouring my chicken sandwich, I still somehow had room for the Mint Custard milkshake. I enjoyed it, but I think next time I would order the Mint Oreo custard because the shake seemed to be lacking something I can't quite put my finger on. Overall, I am so extremely happy with Super Chix.
