Went to the Subway in Stadium mall today, and OMG... talk about a 180 from my last review of the Salt Lake Subway. Upon entering, the store was very clean! Everything from chips and cookies, to the drinks in the cold fridge were well stocked! There were 2 employees working at the time we went. Both very nice, acknowledged us immediately upon entering and patiently waited as we decided on our order. Sandwiches were made great and with care. Just an overall great experience! All around subway is subway. Everyone loves a fresh sandwich. It's the little details and customer service that really make a company great or not so great. Went to the subway in Redding on hilltop drive. At 840pm. It said online they didn't close til 9. The guy inside had locked the door already (keep in mind we drove all the way across town because it said they were open which they should've been open til 9). So I knocked he ignored me. I knocked again he shouted "we're closed" and didn't even bother to look up from whatever he was doing. So I knocked again and he stormed over to the door, opened it up very rudely. Asked what we needed. So we told him that they are supposed to be open til 9 and that we drove 15 mins across town to come there and we're wondering why they were closed early or if online was wrong. He then stated "we closed early because we closed early". So me getting pissed off at this point because everything else closes at 9 and we were going to be sol on getting dinner after a long long work day, rudely stated that "it was bs they would close 20 minutes early even though they have customers there". He swung the door open and said "fine come on in". Everything was already completely packed up and put away. Registered counted out and literally it looked like everything possible to close was done which meant they closed at least 30-45 mins early because that's a lot to put away and do in a few minutes, alone. He slapped some bread on the counter at this point very very disrespectful, so we just left and said Nevermind. Not going to sit there with him huffing and puffing making us sloppy ass sandwiches while he complains about grabbing everything he shouldn't have even put away yet. I love subway but this experience, the waste of gas, time and having to drive clear across town the other way to get dinner due to it then being about 9pm and nothing nearby was open we were wanting, I might not go back and I might not recommend them to anyone. Which is a bummer but it left a very sour taste in my mouth with how disrespectful and honestly out of line the worker was. He seemed to be on drugs with how he was acting but that is making an assumption. Just very fidgety, pupils were very small and dilated and he was so irritable over something he caused and had very dry mouth when talking and being rude. read more

It has been recently renovated so it looks sleek and nice. The staff working seemed like each other. They had a mix of seniors with a middle aged staff working. Other than their own bickering they were nice to us and the other customers. When we asked for extra toppings they were happy to do so and hooked it up. The cheese was extra thick and the taste was definitely overpowering. But if you go to any fast food restaurant this type of stuff is really minor. Love subways. They are literally one of the simplest models you could follow for a restaurant. Came across this one when taking the kids to the ice palace and was super excited to get a decent meal while waiting. Store front was clean and updated making it inviting. But then we get to the counter, myself, my partner and our two daughters. The staff was not helpful, was very impatient trying to rush us through when we hadn't yet decided and was just plain rude. There was 2 females and a male. The male was the only kind or courteous one. The woman taking the orders made it out to be the biggest inconvenience that we weren't ready (mind you we were the only customers in line) didn't clearly answer any questions and was just rude and condescending. The woman at the register was unhelpful also and also very rude. I tried to order a combo for two of the meals and was told "well do you want a drink?" And I responded with "oh I think so does the combos come with a drink and a chips? " and then was not answered but told "do you want a drink or not?" Still confused and thinking she didn't hear me I asked "what comes with the meals?" And she looks at me like I'm an idiot and stated "you either want the drink or you don't." Um... ok but I'm just trying to understand how to build a damned combo and no one has explained it and your menu board, while big and bright, keeps changing so it's not clear there either. Anyways it was horrible. For god sakes you're making sandwiches, it's not torture, be kind. Then to finish it I had a question on the charging and was basically met with a very combative, super not nice response from the lady that had taken our order. The workers are exceptionally friendly, and it can get busy. I recommend using the Subway app if you don't feel like waiting in line. The experience was unexpectedly superb. My co-worker ordered our lunch through his phone app or online. Once the confirmation was received we went to pickup our order. The shorter older woman (not to be disrespectful) was preparing our sandwiches. She was not rushing but very neat as if she was some sushi chef. Presentation was very important and impressive. When we returned to work, sat down to eat. As we unwrapped our sandwiches the sandwich looked like it was a sushi roll! Everything was tightly packed and beautifully made. It was amazingly delicious and tasty as well. We compared her wrapping with other locations and theirs were NOT the same quality. It was loose and sloppy making eating a mess. Disappointed my mobile order was incorrect. Usually I have no problem with my online orders. I wanted 3 foot long sandwiches and 1 six inch sandwich. I got 2 foot long sandwiches and 2 six inch sandwiches. The one that was a 6in instead of a foot long was my son's. We had to get him more food since the sandwich wasn't enough. This review is for the Subway app. It is convenient and easy to use. Reward points (MyWay Tokens) can be accumulated and access to special deals are available. Although the classic menu is still available, my most recent app order was from their new sandwich line-up called, The Series. I selected the #4 Supreme Meats. I like that the app includes a progress bar showing: 1) order received, 2) order is being built, and 3) order is ready for pick-up. The estimated wait time was 10 minutes. When I went in to pick up my order, I was in and out of there in no more than two minutes. However, I did observe that the dine-in area was clean. Additionally, the staff was so nice. It seemed everyone enjoyed working there. When I got home and broke the seal on my order, I discovered that my sandwich was built to perfection. I marked it as a favorite on the app. So, the next time I feel like having Subway again, it'll be even faster getting it into my tummy. read more

I visited Subway at 11th Avenue in Kaimuki Hawaii. Got home and realized my / and Family footlong BMT was on STALE crumbling bread. Sandwich was probably made by Owner. How shameful. Put in a bag and see ya!!!! Canned soup and left overs for us. I'm tempted to take 3/4 stale sandwich back. I wonder what he is doing with the veggie droppings. Our original plan was to get lunch at Taco Bell, but their drive-thru line was severely backed up and the indoor option was no better. We opted for Subway instead, which was just across the parking lot from Taco Bell. No problem finding parking, and the exterior of the restaurant was clean. Upon entering, I found it to be well-lit and clean as well. There were 4 employees behind the counter: 3 were building sandwiches and the fourth was the cashier. The workers worked well together, and remained in their positions along the line. Cashier Luisa polished off our experience with her positive attitude. Good sandwiches. Just be aware that they charge a tip for dine in and I always take my sandwiches to work. I was charged an extra $2.16 which I did not authorize. I don't mind paying the fair price for the sandwich but not when I am not informed or given a choice. I was wondering why the clerk's attitude was so different from before which was rude at times. After an awful experience at the NEX food store, I still wanted to try the new sweet onion steak teriyaki sandwich. The other place gave me chicken when I ordered the steak. This time I went to the Stadium Mall store by the ice skating rink. I like this store because it's nearby & easy to find parking, & workers are always friendly. I ordered ahead again using their app. I like their app as it's easy to place your order & add special instructions. I also had a $2 reward token to use before it expired. I ordered a 6" sweet onion steak teriyaki on their 9-grain wheat with less sauce. I got to the store a few minutes early but when I walked in, my order was ready. I like how there is a big sign near the register for pick-up orders so you don't have to wait in line. I also like how they neatly package your order- brown bag stapled with the receipt showing. When I got home, it was nice to see they got the order right And, it tasted great! The flavors of the sauce with the beef blended well with veggies I had. The bread was just right, not hard. I've had the sweet onion chicken teriyaki before but this tasted so much better. It's a shame it was only available for a limited time. Hopefully they'll make it a regular menu item down the road. The only reason this review is not a 5 is because even though I had requested less sauce, they still put a lot on where the sandwich got a little soggy but still edible. The worst experience ever. Will never go back to this subway again. Kamita ring up my order wrong and while I was eating and looked at my receipt I noticed I was charged wrong. When I went to ask about it with another worker Kamita looks at me upset and says I was wrong and that I can't complain because I already ate my food. Crazy lady!!! She even told me to be quiet don't say a word since my money will be refunded. Was I wrong to ask about what I was charged for??? Ridiculous... what kind of customer service is this? Does subway not teach how to serve customers properly and with a smile? No hello when you first walk in and just feeling rushed to do the order is not good service at all. The footlong was on white bread and bread was hard on the ends and very dry, the 6" was on flatbread which was so stale that it cracked open as I ate it-flatbread is supposed to be soft-if it's fresh, it doesn't crack unless it's stale. Might actually be an issue with national not making the promo clear. Which actually makes the employees actions even better. Subways are usually pretty much the same. A franchise company that makes consistent sandwiches, wraps, and salads. This location offers the usual menu items and has a weekly Sub of the Day special. What sets this location apart from the others would be the service. I always enjoy coming here because the staff is usually very helpful, patient, and quick. The one downfall to this location is parking. It can be hard to find due to the neighboring businesses. The parking is not a quick in and out with a high turnover. I stopped in for a quick takeout and ordered the new Smoked Brisket sandwich. My toppings consisted of lettuce, tomato, onions, bell peppers, the bbq sauce, a little mayo, on wheat bread. I was pleasantly surprised how good it tasted, when compared to authentic bbq places I've been to abroad. The brisket was tender and the bbq sauce gave it a nice touch to my palate. Of course the veggies were fresh too. The staff is helpful and the day manager always greets everyone with a smile and a hello. She remembers her return customers and is always there behind the counter working hard. The only thing that might not be available during peak periods is the parking at this Stadium Mall. Many of the stalls are reserved for the businesses within this strip mall, and the fact that Ice Palace is situated here as well. But if you don't mind taking a few spins around for a space or park in the lower parking lot, you're good to go. read more

This subway is your typical subway- they have the same menu and sub of the day. It could use an update, but it's not un-cared for - still looks good. What makes this subway a cut above the rest is the staff and the fact that it's typically not crowded. At this Subway we can take our time and enjoy the experience of customizing our sub the way we want it, and pay, without feeling rushed along. The staff here has always been really friendly and personable without dropping their professionalism. They have even helped us with the menu and sub ingredients to make a tastier sub. From the sounds of it parking is hit or miss. I was able to find a stall immediately, right up front on a Wednesday morning. I appreciate the fact that this location has 8 tables for people to sit at, some of which seat 4, has an open feeling and is clean. I also like the fact that the chips and cookies are well stocked. Not all Subways are created equal. I frequent this Subway because it is close to where I work a few days per week. I usually order the same thing because I enjoy it so much. Consequently, my order always comes out to $6.66. The owner woman usually notes this and gives me some kind of Christian blessing every time I order. Blessing received! I am always greeted with prompt service and am always satisfied with the product. Even though parking is unusual at the Ice Palace lot with every nail shop putting a "kapu" parking sign in front of their little store, I usually find a spot fairly quickly. On one off day, I went to the other Subway down the road in the Salt Lake Shopping Center. The same meal there cost me over eight bucks!! They did not even offer provolone cheese!! I usually don't review chains because they are same! But I had to review this one because this is the WORST service I have EV ER had! Whatever you do do not come to this one. The people who are there ignore you to talk to their coworkers. When they are actually ready to take your order they don't ask nicely they say "WHAT YOU WANT" then turn their back on you before you can even order. When the lady did that I waited for her to turn back so I could talk face to face to her the other one started screaming at me because I wouldnt talk to her back. Then I told her I was waiting for her to turn around she continued to scream at me. Finally when I ordered my sandwich they gave me stale bread and it was the worst sandwich I have ever had. If they make it to H-power, the gas released into the ozone is harmful as well. Try to envision a car engine with black clouds of smoke coming out if the tail pipe. Besides that, it was 99% her attitude and the way she handled it. I managed a Subway in Corpus Chrusti, and combined worked at various Subway restaurants for 5 years in Texas and Hawaii combined. Not the best of Subways. Although I can't say the employees here are actually rude, they certainly aren't friendly. I went to get breakfast for my daughter this morning and I found the service to be very slow. Okay, I know it was 8 am but the employees should be awake even if the customers aren't. The person ahead of me was very specific in his order and the servers just couldn't keep it straight. The food was fine so I can't complain about that. I'm sure that mornings are busy with extra things like baking bread but still, it just wasn't a pleasant experience. No smiles. No greetings. Very terse questions. For the customer ahead of me it was obviously frustrating to be asked the same question over and over and for the order to still be wrong. I don't understand the poor reviews. Out of all the Subways I've visited, I have always received excellent customer service here. I just went again tonight for dinner and once again I was treated to extremely well made sandwiches (even a flatizza). In fact, the woman behind me remarked "wow" when she saw the sandwich. I believe the title "sandwich artist" truly applies to the workers at this particular location. This store is always clean and the workers are always busy doing stuff like re-stocking or cleaning when they don't have to wait on anyone. I'm always greeted pleasantly, and thanked for my business. I have even witnessed them being pleasant to very rude customers. I have recently been to the one by Pearlridge theaters, and I will never go back to that one again. Girl was rude and I felt rushed.
