The Italian sandwich had a great flavor - it had a sweet Italian dressing, mayo on the bread, fresh lettuce, cheese, and several meats including baloney, salami, and pepperoni. The bread was soft and fresh. The cucumber salad got a little soggy in the vinegar mix. They were perfectly salty, but could have been a bit more sweet for my personal taste.

I've had almost the entire menu over the years, but my favorite is the simple sliced turkey, with lettuce, tomato (which I opt out of sometimes just because I'm not a huge tomato on a sandwich guy, unless it's an actual tomato sandwich...), onion, and then I ask to add their garlic mayo and banana peppers, and sometimes jalapeños. Their turkey club is a second favorite if I'm craving bacon on my sandwich (they also have a jalapeño bacon!). Their other deli sandwiches are great, like the original with a mix of luncheon and other deli meats. I love their lesser known meatball sandwich and cheeseburger. My wife's favorite is the pastrami. The staff at Alvin Ord's are some of the nicest folks I've met in the restaurant industry, and they're always super helpful to new and old customers alike.
