I ordered the Beer Battered Atlantic Cod basket with fries, and for $13.99, the cod was not only delicious and crispy, but the fries were just excellent with the fish as well. Not only that, the portions were very large, too. I was super full after that meal! I will absolutely order this again, just thinking about it makes me hungry. Service was top-notch, as usual. There is not a single day where I have came in and it took more than 10 minutes to be seated and have my order taken. Everyone there is so friendly, and it really felt like the service was so good there, they were only serving me. That's just how fast it is. Inside is always great, too. Calico's has a large range of artworks, trinkets, and more. They showcase R66 stuff, too. The inside is never too hot or too cold, and it's all clean and comfortable with a massive space inside. In all, Calico's is not just a little place off the road. It's got excellent food, incredible service, and a welcoming environment. I do recommend for anybody looking for these things. Thank you!

Management responded to my previous review asking me to reach out by email, so I did. I never even received the courtesy of a response. If you're going to publicly ask an unhappy customer to contact you, the least you can do is acknowledge their message. Between the service issues, turning away business, and the lack of follow-up from management, I honestly don't understand how a business can seem so uninterested in doing business. I gave this location another chance, but unfortunately, my experience wasn't any better.

A few hours later, I woke up with severe diarrhea and ended up vomiting three times. Honestly, I feel like gas station chicken would have been safer to eat than what I was served at Popeyes. I paid around $30 for two meals and a sandwich, and instead of enjoying my food, I ended up dealing with what felt like food poisoning. How is something as simple as making sure the chicken is hot being skipped over when the workspace is only about 15 × 10 feet? This isn't a huge operation where food can easily get lost or overlooked. The staff should know what's being prepared and what's being handed to customers. This was entirely the staff's fault. Serving chicken that was cold to the touch is unacceptable. I expected better from a well-known restaurant, and customers shouldn't have to worry about getting sick from their meal.
