This is for the Subway off of El Norte Parkway, Escondido #31504-0 So less than an hour ago, at 4:45, I ordered a footlong Veggie Delight, Fixed with everything. A customer was already waiting for 3 or 4 sandwiches before me, and all of hers had different meats in them. The worker touched all of hers, and stuffing meat in them, then he cross contaminated his gloves from the oily meat straight to the lettuce and all vegetables. Great. My turn. He didn't change his gloves, remember I just want all veggie, and again touched all my vegetables with those same gloves. Then he used the same knife to cut my sandwich as he did with hers and there was residue of meat on the knife. He did t wipe it off. I asked if he can use another knife for mine and he said NO, that's all I have. Well please at least clean it first. He started having an attitude and just walked away. So how I'm cleaning off my sandwich from any meat juices he put on there. Please someone train him about cross contamination. Maybe some training again and the importance of avoiding maybe getting people ill. He should be switching his gloves between customers. I had to when I served and made food. So gross. I guess the manager or lead was on break so the guy that was helping me was a bit frustrated because he was in the middle of phone order but whatever I wasn't fond of working at subway back in my teen days so I get it. As soon as the manager/ lead came back from break she tight away started off our sandwiches which I can appreciate. We ordered two foot longs one teriyaki chicken and a BMT both with avocado. The girl right away turned what was about to be a failed visit to an awesome visit. We went here on my lunch break and there was only one person working there and was having a difficult time ringing up a man with a gift card. It took about 20 minutes and she still didn't get his discount right. She had to phone someone for help. There was one person in front of me and they ended up walking out. When we went to pay with our rewards she didn't even know how to complete the transaction on the register. Recommend more training and at least one more employee. This place has a very long line and doesn't even acknowledge their customers. They are very very slow. They have one person working with the walk ins and the other person on online orders. They both are very slow to move. I came in today at 12:50 and it's 1:10 and I am still not even serve and there are two people in front of me still. Horrible customer service. I love subway and order it everyday at a different location. I won't be coming back to this one. This was convenient as I was running an errand. I paid an extra $2 to not have bread but a salad in a container, and they said NO to my request for a plastic knife because they don't have any. They put whole slices of tomato and meat on the salad! Not only does it look massively different, there were exactly 5 small strips of chicken inside. The commercial of the new Orchard Chicken Salad sandwich is what got me to go to Subway last night for dinner. Although, the standard "welcome to subway" greeting was missing and the cashier not able to speak english, the service wasn't bad. The sandwich maker made sure I got everything I wanted. The sandwich however was TERRIBLE! The chicken salad had white raisins in it, of which I love--if they were not old, over ripe or rotting. They were literally brown and extremely mushy. Aside, from that the chicken salad was incredibly bland. I ended up scooping all of the salad out and only eating the avocado, mushrooms, lettuce, cheese and adding my own lunch meat to it. Just waited 30+ min for a mediocre sandwich to be made while one worker struggled to make sandwiches for 6 customers. Not only was she incredibly slow, but she had to continuously ask the same questions over and over again and was not at all apologetic. In fact, she was very rude. She used bread that had been sitting on the bar for over 10 min that was going to be used for an Uber Eats order, then decided after 10 min and many disgruntled looks that she should probably make our sandwiches before the online orders since we had all been waiting in line for so long. There should really be more staff on a shift if the staff they currently have can't handle working alone for 30 min. Definitely won't be back to this location ever. Not to mention several homeless people came in and not one of them was asked to leave. In fact, one of them stayed in the bathroom the entire time (almost 40 min in total).
