The only reason this location is getting 1 star is because of the young lady that rang us up and did our condiments on our sandwich. If not for her we would have walked out. Come in. Line out the door. Young lady helping one person in front of us. Manager (yes. I asked) was in the back watching the line get longer and not helping. Finally comes ups dm starts immediately talking loud and fast. Asked me what sandwich. I told her. She didn't ask if I wanted it not toasted and I did not. So she huffs and puffs and had to start over. Then she slaps American cheese on the bread a lot of sauce without even, again, asking. The other young lady finished me up and was polite. I'm not sure what or why but we were treated horribly here this evening. Our home burned so we've been living in a B & B until we find a home. We drive up, it's open & all lights are on too. We've been so stressed out and it just sounded good. We walk in and the employees scatter (wtf)?. We can actually hear them laughing in the back. We say unbelievable & go to leave. Just as we got in car and looked in there they all came back out & we're laughing. With the lake level as it is you'd think they'd need business. They will never have mine again!!! read more

This subway has the rudest manager I have ever encountered anywhere--she is very two faced. She obviously doesn't want to be working. She clearly has favorite customers- -men-- who she caters to, flirts with and to whom she gives extra fixings. Also, I was very disappointed with the casual attitude toward social distancing and COVID exposure. Gloves were not changed between handling food and cash. She is also snaps at her employees in front of customers. She has had some pleasant employees, but they do not last--they are always gone in a few weeks. I like to support local businesses, but I will not return to this one. It is clearly a bad representative of our community. I hope the franchise owner will wake up to the potential available with a manager replacement. read more

We have been to this subway at least 5 times now. Absolutely the worst I have ever been in. Every single time we have been they have been out of meatballs. Every time there is a teenage girl that is extremely slow and very clearly high on drugs. Tonight they were even out of bread! A sandwich place out of bread!!! Not just one type either... they were out of every single type of bread! They fired the manager, Jason. The best manager out of dozens and dozens of Subways I've been to. The guy was payed nothing relative to the type and amount of work he put in. He went and picked up people for work that didn't have transportation. He worked around workers schedules to try and accommodate. He went over and above his prescribed duties at a non-manager's pay. His wife even occasionally helped. All at their own expense. Always a smile and kind words. Always going out of his way. But hey, isn't that the corporate American way now. People are readily disposable, especially if you think they somehow interfered with your vacation bonus dollars. You just lost a 6 year regular customer and I will encourage the rest of the regulars to not come back as well. We went in here at 8:30 on a Friday nite to place an order for take out. When you walk in a Subway they ALL smell the same, like bread baking. This one did not have the usual subway smell and that should have been a clue. Apparently this store only bakes bread in the morning and then uses it all day long. The bread was stale and crumbly unlike any other subway we have ever visited. We will NEVER go to this store ( 17420 FM 306..by Valero) again and will let EVERYONE know how poor the quality of this one is. Don't waste you money going to this store, drive the extra 20 miles and go into New Braunfels or you will be disappointed read more
