I was on a week long trip, driving home from Portland just the day before and from Sacramento that day. My girlfriend planned for us to eat before entering LA and we didn't have too many options. We stopped in the outlet mall to pick up the sandwiches we'd ordered. Everything seemed normal, nice staff even, until we got onto the freeway heading towards LA. My girlfriend opened the wrapper right away. As she did a bug crawled out of her sandwich. She squished it immediately. But now the food didn't look nearly as appetizing even after how long we'd been driving for. Subway has a hard process to get in touch so I gave them a call while still south bound, driving into the mountain range. I told them about the bug. They denied even the possibility of it. They said they just made the sandwich and packed it (and that's apparently why no bugs could be in it). I said it could be in the ingredients before they make it and my comment was ignored. And told I couldn't be refunded, only have the sandwich remade. Mind that I'm at least 5 miles away, driving on long stretches of land with few exits, trying to beat traffic. When I asked for the corporate number to get the refund from, the person on the phone rudely said to look it up and hung up. I kept driving, my girlfriend having sent a form to subway directly, which still hasn't been responded to. Then I received a call, no caller id, and it happened to be the owner of the location. I told him my issue and he claimed it to be a new location and to even have been fumigated. All I can remember about the bug (looking at what was squished up) was it had dark red and dark yellow stripes and small wings. I asked to be refunded for just that sandwich (since there could be more bugs or potential sickness) and even told the owner that I'm far away and live much farther. And still he said he could only remake it. I left that conversation feeling the same way I did after talking to the employees. We both ended up eating our sandwiches since we had nothing else and found no other bugs. Right after we arrived home I got a stomach ache that made me constipated and extremely nauseous on the verge of throw up. And that sandwich happened to be the last thing I ate. There is another subway across the highway that you should go to instead. If their online ordering system was available at the time, I would've gone there instead. read more

Just went as there are signs that it's open 7 days a week. There was an open sign and three employees inside and one moving a ladder but doors closed and locked with people just staring at me. I was hungry but got no sign or anything from them just looks. I guess sign isn't correct or they were doing some work. read more

I came to Tejon this morning bright and early, thinking I could go to subway, I waited til they opened at 10am according to online schedule, come to find out they didn't open til 11 after a very rude encounter with one of their workers. i kindly knocked on the window to see if they were open, she came out and told me "we are closed" with the most unnecessary attitude. I continued to kindly ask about the hours she said "the hours are right here" and pointed at the window as if I was stupid for not checking beforehand. We love subway but this location is TERRIBLE. Terrible service and super slow. Gudbir or whatever her name is is SO RUDE to customers, she needs to realize these are customers, you are here to serve not us here to make YOUR life easier. Terrible. Ordered 2 foot long sandwiches and both were not tasting fresh. Employees are not friendly. We wanted cheddar cheese and she insisted us to take mozzarella. She wrapped the sandwich in single subway paper and it just fell apart. They have only 2 tables inside and they do t even clean it. No wonder it has only 1.5 stars in Yelp. When we got to Subway the gentleman was very rude. Wouldn't stop addressing all of us by "bro" and was very impatient. Instead of helping the individual at a time he kept on yelling and would show his frustration. I told him to take him time and slow down. We are not in a rush and the only people here. After the worst experience he told us he would only ring us up as one big order which made it difficult for use since that was never our plan. When I signed the receipt he threw the pen at me twice. This place does not deserve a star. I should have walked out after waiting 15 minutes to order. Asked for a foot long on white and was told they were out of white bread! Really? No white bread? I told him I want a refund because all of the soda is flat and there is no iced tea made. He asked me what soda was out and I told him again they all are flat and I want a refund. He gets irritated/overwhelmed and walked to the back, came back to the front and said all of the soda was working fine. It wasn't. They all were flat. No carbonation you idiot! I again asked for a refund. Manuel now tells me I have had my drink for an hour and he can't give me a refund! What! It was 15 minutes since I had paid! Then Manuel tells me he is not authorized to issue me a refund! What a joke. This place has horrible customer service, horrible food! I will call my credit card company and dispute the charge and I will call subway cooperate office and file a complaint. This place is horrible. First door you come to is locked and does not have a sign to use the other door. When you get inside it is super small. People are basically standing on top of you. The servers are not well versed on the menu. I heard them ask multiple times what was supposed to be on a sandwich and even if the customer told them the bread they asked again. They are skimpy on the amounts they give you. When we got to the sodas they were empty on all of them. When we advised them they did do anything to fix it. This is supposed an upscale shopping area, this subway does not fit in. read more

They are so slow at making sandwiches and have Flies flying around the veggies. They Indian guy was on his Bluetooth the whole time he was taking orders and making the food. TERRIBLE! I am an employee at the outlets and I HATE coming here, but sometimes it is my only option. The staff is ALWAYS rude and slow. Every time I am here I spend over half my lunch in line. Once I came on my lunch and they had a "closed for lunch sign" but they were making a sandwich for another girl costumer. When I knocked on the door they had the girl costumer open it and tell me to come back later, when I pleaded with them to make my sandwich because I was hungry and pregnant at the time they were very upset and again rude. When I went in it was clear they knew the other costumer and of course she got special treatment which is great for her I guess. Their doors are always locked and when there isn't a line, like on week days, there is never anyone in the front of the restaurant, so you're stuck standing there like an idiot.
