Subcomm built a pool, patio and pavilion for me. I think it's almost impossible to get 5 stars here because I'm a perfectionist and a DIYers so I automatically think (and sometimes know) I can do better than some of the work that was done. However the only thing I want to point out here is their integrity. After this massive job was done and paid for, I brought up that there were 3 screw holes in the trex stairs that didn't get plugs. We installed our pool a few months ago and just opened it in March. It's beautiful and we are excited to use it. As with any renovation, we did have some hiccups, but overall, we are very happy with the job. After the pool was opened they claimed the gas situation caused them to miss appointments and then I learned that they did not get their summer employees from Europe so the service was very irregular I was getting service every three weeks not weekly. Because the pool is cloudy one time they came and literally spent less than five minutes putting chemicals into the pool and I was charged for the full service other times they were too busy to clean the pool but simply check the chemicals and I was charged for a full service I was selling my house during this period and had to call the head man to get them to come over and clean the pool They also charged me $345 for installation of the pool pump which was a 45 minute install As I was selling the house I paid them in full because I felt that if they didn't get paid in full I would never see them again before the new owners came in... you were dishonest and did not tell me that they did not have their full complement of workers and when I found out it was too late to switch to another pool company...Don't work with subcomm pools! margaret w read more

This was the biggest house project I have had since I bought my house and so I spent a good deal of time researching and meeting with companies before I made my decision to go with Subcomm Pools. They gave me a detailed estimate and I understood what needed to be done and the total I would have to pay. I have an old pool that was built in the 1970s which needed a major overhaul. After reviewing and approving the contract Subcomm Pools were in the next day. They pretty much stripped it down to the foundation. They redid everything from the plaster, to the coping, to the tile, to the filter, to the concrete deck around the pool. They were patient with me when I changed my mind multiple times about the tile I wanted. The guys that did the work from start to finish were communicative, efficient, clean, timely and extremely professional. The time-frame for this project was not only met, but ahead of schedule. This was a very nice experience, I have dealt with shady contractors before, but these guys are the complete opposite, they stand by there work and product. The principal -- Hristo -- is so incredibly responsive and his team are the nicest, most hard working, decent and competent people you could ever hope for. They have made owning a pool completely worry and work free for me -- and at a very competitive cost. We have been using these excellent pool technicians for many years. They can do everything! Even care for old pools! We never get "burned" and we get prompt emergency help ( when we try to make a part last longer than it's life and it dies). We have bi- weekly visits when the pool gets vacuumed, backwashed, tested, and their chemicals are added. We don't have to keep all those on hand anymore. In the past, I tried 3 different companies and there is NO comparison that can match this company. First, when you call the office, you will notice that they are very customer oriented. Subcomm Pools is the most unprofessional "company" you will ever have to deal with. They seem pleasant over the phone but once they start on the project and you point out ANYTHING you don't like, you will be yelled at. The guy who was responsible for the work, but I think he is the co-owner are so are arrogant and unable to have a normal conversation. They do an EXTREMELY sloppy job and don't take responsibility for anything. I made a huge mistake hiring these guys and now the only way for them to repair my pool is a law suit, I have not seen anybody who does a construction project and does not have you approve it, but leaves, and then when you point out things that were not done right, or damages, they refuse to respond to emails and phonecalls.
