I saw this place open up in the old Nick the Greek area, so I decided to look it up! It had good reviews on here, so we tried it. I was not disappointed. I had a Philly Cheese Steak with both hot and sweet peppers and onions. It was amazing. Probably one of the best Philly Cheese Steaks I've ever had. Or THE best. We also had gypsy fries - so basically all the Philly stuff on fries. Super awesome. If you are going for atmosphere and a restaurant, it's not the place for you. They do have a super small dining area, but it is more of an option for takeout. However, if you want some bomb sandwich food, this place rocks! read more

Finally got to try this place today. Sandwich is a little smaller than most sub shops. They are definitely going for quality over quantity...delicious! Excellent ingredients, awesome horseradish mayo and great sub roll. Loved can get extras without being charged. Got the chicken philly, added mushrooms for .50 cents, and no cost added red onion, tomato and black olives. Yum! Will definitely be back to try the poutine fries.. read more

So stoked that this killer Sub place is right next to my place in Atlantic Beach. I got "The Philly" and it's the best Philly cheesesteak in town... I've lived at the beach over 16 years and they do it the best! Not to mention the sandwhich I ordered and devoured last week was the "Miami" Cuban and its the best Cuban I've ever had. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and was really disappointed based on all the 5 star reviews. It had a very weird taste, almost a sweet flavor but it also tasted like they poured pepperoncini juice in with the steak. They Ieft off the mayo and mustard that I asked for. I also ordered a small order of fries and they were average at best. It took forever to get my food and for $14 it just wasn't worth what I paid. I took two bites and threw it in the trash because I didn't like the flavor. I could have gotten a much tastier Philly elsewhere. After reading the reviews, I should have probably ordered the Cuban. Overall, I was not impressed and would not give them a second try. read more

The worst part about this place is that it's closed on Sundays and during the week they close at 8. That's it. That's literally the only bad thing. Also more for my personal reasons because I swear every Sunday I want a sub from here and here only! Best freaking sandwiches you'll ever have. I know the seven deadly sins and today I did partake in one. So let me tell you the toasted Frenchie with poutine fries was a balanced sweet and savoury meal to titillate that hunger monster in all of us. Sautéed chicken, spinach, French named cheese, dried cranberry, red pinions , and a balsamic dressing on sourdough bread are you crazy all that goodness on a plate. At the same time cutting down a pile of fresh fries, gum ball size curds covered in a hot gravy. All my meals have been great that I have bought from Subcultured do yourself and a few friends a solid and treat them to lunch off a small well thought out menu that is packed with flavour. The guys and gals here know their stuff so run or drive as fast as you can to get here ok, maybe not the last part but do stop in. Be prepared to wait! If you show up anytime between 11:00a.m. and 2 p.m. you will be waiting 10 to 25 minutes to place your order and another 15 to 25 minutes waiting on the order. Even when calling in an order, it'll take over 20 minutes. Not a place to go if you only have an hour or less for lunch. I thought it might be a fluke(hoped it was because it's convenient location to my job)) so I've tried it three or four times now and have never gotten my order in less than 30 minutes. There should be a sign informing customers that all orders will be minimum wait of 25-30 minutes. read more

I love sub cultured, their sandwiches are consistently satisfying! My boyfriend always gets el jacabo and I'm a big fan of the bulgogi hoagie, the caswell, and the sweet caprese (add chicken). Everything I've tried has been so delicious that it almost makes it hard to branch out and try new options on the menu. My only complaints are I wish they were open on Sundays and sometimes parking can be a pain but it's always worth it. Definitely give it a go if you're looking for a tasty sandwich! read more

One of the best cheesesteaks I've had hands down! They didn't skimp on the steak. The onions were perfectly caramelized -- I hate biting into a raw crunchy onion on my sandwich. The bread looked like it was baked in house and tasted sooo good. The only thing I would have liked was a bit more cheese and perhaps some mayo (but that's just me). The fries were crisp and fresh too. If you order them, have a friend with you so you can share. They give them to you in huge container, enough for 2 or 3 people. I had to ride around a bit because I kept passing it. I realized that you order at a little window in the side of the building. While I was waiting in my car, I noticed that they have a dining area but it's a couple of doors down. Maybe some signage would be helpful to let newbies like me know that we don't have to wait in the car for our orders. Overall, great little spot! read more

I love sub cultured! Their sandwiches are on point. The bread - amazing! We usually get the Phillies and they're not stingy with the meat and cheese. The "mine" fries portion is enough for me and hubby to split. And the staff always remembers the condiments on our to go orders. read more

Loved the bulgogi sub! The sauce soaked into the delicious sub roll making for a yummy sub.

Awesome little sub shop off the beaten path. I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you are in the area.
