I had a Philly Cheese Steak with both hot and sweet peppers and onions. It was amazing. Probably one of the best Philly Cheese Steaks I've ever had. Or THE best. We also had gypsy fries - so basically all the Philly stuff on fries. Super awesome. If you are going for atmosphere and a restaurant, it's not the place for you. Finally got to try this place today. Sandwich is a little smaller than most sub shops. They are definitely going for quality over quantity...delicious! Owner just left my house, bringing my fries that they forgot of course Told me "as the owner u don't have to eat there" After waiting there for 30 minutes in 100° heat in the shade because no one told me they had a air-conditioned dining room two doors over in the building When the owner brought my fries she told me that they were busy and they have a small area and they have 4.5 stars on yelp and I asked her if she reads them I said yeah but do you read the ones that they don't recommend they all say the same thing long wait, orders wrong, wheres the dining room, owner is immature I guess it would've been my fault that I didn't check my order to make sure it's right But then again like I was trying to explain to her before she rudely interrupted and told me I don't have to eat there was that if they weren't busy gossiping about last nights shooting in Jax Beach if they told people to go over and wait in the dining area in which most of people didn't know they have they won't have to walk out to peoples cars three and four times further wasting valuable time because they're so busy I don't think individuals who give this sub shop such a high Mark really go to any place where they have good customer service or great food In Jax Beach there's plenty of sub shops within a 2 mile radius this sub shop is in the blighted area of Mayport surrounded by fast food chains if that If you have a wait time of 30 minutes and don't forget or are willing to check your order this would be a good place Mostly though I think as a young owner she would be more than happy to actually listen to anybody willing to talk to her about any issues clearly she's doing everything right Last thing before you put the fries in the bag you should close them up instead of them being open the whole time the subs and fries probably would've been a good lunch I'll never know read more

So stoked that this killer Sub place is right next to my place in Atlantic Beach. I got "The Philly" and it's the best Philly cheesesteak in town... I ordered the Philly cheese steak and was really disappointed based on all the 5 star reviews. It had a very weird taste, almost a sweet flavor but it also tasted like they poured pepperoncini juice in with the steak. They Ieft off the mayo and mustard that I asked for. I also ordered a small order of fries and they were average at best. It took forever to get my food and for $14 it just wasn't worth what I paid. I took two bites and threw it in the trash because I didn't like the flavor. I could have gotten a much tastier Philly elsewhere. After reading the reviews, I should have probably ordered the Cuban. Overall, I was not impressed and would not give them a second try. read more

One of the best cheesesteaks I've had hands down! They didn't skimp on the steak. The onions were perfectly caramelized -- I hate biting into a raw crunchy onion on my sandwich. The bread looked like it was baked in house and tasted sooo good. The only thing I would have liked was a bit more cheese and perhaps some mayo (but that's just me). The fries were crisp and fresh too. If you order them, have a friend with you so you can share. They give them to you in huge container, enough for 2 or 3 people. I had to ride around a bit because I kept passing it. I realized that you order at a little window in the side of the building. While I was waiting in my car, I noticed that they have a dining area but it's a couple of doors down. Maybe some signage would be helpful to let newbies like me know that we don't have to wait in the car for our orders. Overall, great little spot! read more

Be prepared to wait! If you show up anytime between 11:00a.m. and 2 p.m. you will be waiting 10 to 25 minutes to place your order and another 15 to 25 minutes waiting on the order. Even when calling in an order, it'll take over 20 minutes. Not a place to go if you only have an hour or less for lunch. I thought it might be a fluke(hoped it was because it's convenient location to my job)) so I've tried it three or four times now and have never gotten my order in less than 30 minutes. I love sub cultured, their sandwiches are consistently satisfying! My boyfriend always gets el jacabo and I'm a big fan of the bulgogi hoagie, the caswell, and the sweet caprese (add chicken). Everything I've tried has been so delicious that it almost makes it hard to branch out and try new options on the menu. My only complaints are I wish they were open on Sundays and sometimes parking can be a pain but it's always worth it. Definitely give it a go if you're looking for a tasty sandwich! read more
