There were 4 of us that went for the happy hour and it was great. The service from Mike was awesome…read moreeven though we were there for the happy hour food and drink. The atmosphere was really nice, not over the top extravagant but you'll want to dress to impress. The food for happy hour was excellent. We shared sliders, meatballs which were really good, the salmon sliders were tasty too and finally the dip was good as well. The happy hour has discount on their EOS wines which were ok. We'll definitely be back.

We started off with drinks, beer and a gin drink similar to a bees knees (also enjoyed a French 77 later in the meal). Then bread service, with oil and three types of whipped butter. Good service of bread, moist and flavorful- worth the $9. We moved to the lobster bisque next, super rich and great flavor, service with a seasoned long cracker. Meals, the pork chop- tender, over melt in your mouth mashed potatoes with chopped apples and grapes on top- great flavor. We also had the salmon, with spinach, sun dried tomatoes, and goat cheese over a mushroom mixture, savory and great mix. Unfortunately we were beyond full and didn't opt for dessert, but I was eyeing the affogato or an espresso martini. Delicious and overall reasonable. We will be back to try more.

We had a view of TVs for football although the timing of the TVs was way off-- showing the same game on multiple TVs and they were all delayed and off. Our server was friendly and prompt. We ordered a few appetizers- southwest egg rolls and Chipotle ranch wings. The egg rolls were cooked perfectly. For entrees, the kids got cheeseburgers and Mac n cheese. They all much preferred the burger over the Mac n cheese. Adults ordered the garlic smash burger, the buffalo chicken wrap, and the cheeseburger wrap. I thought the cheeseburger wrap was great- the sauce made it taste like a Big Mac in a wrap. Our friend also really enjoyed the garlic burger- great flavor and very juicy. It was a fine place for an easy Saturday dinner with pets and kids.

The new menu has a few burgers…read morefrom the former menu, and the revamped interior is nice (although like the old picnic tables). The pool tables were also removed. The service was great, but the food was not. The theme was "overcooking" the night we were there, and everything was overcooked and dry. My son ordered a medium-rare burger that was well done. The garlic burger lacked any flavor of garlic. The chicken wings lacked any flavor, and were so overcooked that we left them behind. The salad looked as if the kitchen simply opened a bag of pre-mixed salad and dumped it into a dish. The shrimp were clearly pre-frozen, and lacked flavor (Mayport shrimp are right up the road, hello??). The salad lacked dressing, but the served offered additional teriyaki sauce (which is not salad dressing, but did offer some flavor). This is sad renovation to a great burger place. The bar still has many beers on tap, so there is some hope.

The Chili Relleno is a perfect play on the dish, and can be ordered with beans and rice to make a full meal. The whole chicken is also a great bang for your buck! 4.5 stars would be most accurate. Located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, this fancy restaurant…read moreserves Oaxaca food from Mexico for both dinner and brunch. I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.

On arrival my friends were easily assisted and provided a spot outside upon request for four of us for brunch. Server, Michelle, made sure all could be set up quickly- balloons and cake. She was exceptional. Quick service, very thorough, super friendly- but not just that, very personable. Answered all our questions and made great suggestions. Appetizers were Buffalo cauliflower (not on brunch menu) and spinach dip. Both were wonderful- great flavor and portion size was large. Meals; Two Short Rib Benedict's- Large serving, we each ate half. Good amount of meat on 2 pieces of seasoned toast with eggs and a side of home fries. Two salads- one goat cheese and one fig. One plain and one with shrimp. Super tasty. Started off with a bottle of champagne for mimosas. When time for our cake, Michelle was quick to action and bring plates and utensils. She felt like part of the celebration over just being our server. Really haven't had this level of service or genuine personality at any restaurant before- not even for upscale nights out. We will be back.

The menu was thoughtfully curated, the ingredients incredibly fresh, and each dish beautifully executed. Having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 40 years--where exceptional dining is the norm--I was genuinely surprised and impressed by both the quality and creativity of the food here. The service was equally outstanding: attentive, warm, and seamless without ever feeling intrusive. This has instantly become my new go-to when hosting guests.
