I got the El Guapo, which is essentially a Frito Pie on a hot dog, and it was great!

I realized I had bad attitude one day, and I needed to change it, and the best way to change it?…read moreHave a fabulous lunch. Ella Maybe the best lunch you can have in North Florida. Yes, I'm talking about eating at the food truck called On the Fly. Calling it a food truck is in this number, I'm not sure what you would call. It is fabulous. Now let's start off with the negatives, parking is not as easy as it is for most lunch places, but it's really not that bad if you know what you're doing. There are plenty of slots on the street before you get to the restaurant, and if you called ahead and are just picking up then you can park in the reserve lot, where On the Fly is located. Now these spaces are reserved for lawyers going to the courthouse, which is nearby. So you can't park there here all day, but if you're just stopping in for lunch or if you've called ahead or just picking up takeout, then you should be fine. If you're in someone's spot, the first place to look is the restaurant, so just know you may have to move fairly quickly. For me, I like to call in advance, place my order, and then Park in one of the spaces. Then I pick up my food and go and I'm only there for five minutes. Now that that's all out of the way, let's talk about some of the best food that you will have in Jaxonville. On the Fly sauce - I think this is made by a team of leprechauns they keep in the back of the food truck. Because it comes out so fresh, so delicious, and if they sold it by the gallon, I would be numero Uno in buying it. Blue chips - a great starter chips and blue cheese, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Firecracker Sesame seared Tuna - another solid performer, it has some kick to it, although the tuna is always perfectly cooked. Sweet and spicy quesadilla - oh my God, this dishes as close to heaven as I think I will ever get to. The chicken is so tender and put into a tortilla with caramelized onions, banana peppers, and covered in On the Fly sauce. I don't know how but this works so well you cannot imagine. Service 5/5stars Food 10/5 stars Parking 3/5.

Food trucks to adults are literally what ice cream trucks are to children!…read more I think food trucks are the best method of experiencing what locals have to offer. While heading to pickup my Yelp-buddy, Goldie, I spotted this tiny red food truck but, wasn't sure of what they were serving. Of course you know... being a Yelper. We had to circle back around to check out the scene and that's how I discovered this amazing Cuban food truck! I ordered a delicious, Mango, fruit juice smoothie that tasted just like a well blended/creamed mango. For $3, the size of that smoothie was definitely a steal! The food truck chef or owners was cool, especially, Ordalis (not sure if that's how you spell her name but, I tired.) They've recently opened up a couple of months ago and is only closed on Mondays. There's a small picnic-style dining area next to the food truck for those who enjoy watching the street view while chowing down. And there's only curb-side street parking. I'm loving how this Arlington area is growing with local eateries or food trucks. I can't wait to return for a real taste of Cuba.

But I gave it a shot, and I must say, these sandwiches are FANTASTIC. The steak is filet mignon and as the previous poster said it just melts in your mouth. I have had many a steak sandwich, and few combine the flavor and quality of these. You really owe it to your taste buds to give these guys a try.

Turns out their teriyaki wings were pretty awesome, also. The Mongolian beef wrap was messy, but tasty and not spicy at all, as described on the menu. I actually ordered the Mongolian chicken, but beef is what came out and I'm not picky. The GF had their beef and bleu sandwich. I believe MF's uses filet mignon for all of their steak sandwiches and that makes for very melt-in-your-mouth stuff. Mother Fletcher's (who now accepts credit cards, btw) sometimes parks behind the EverBank buiding in Riverside during weekday lunches (11am-1:30pm). They're based out of St. Augustine so you'll probably encounter them there most often. The overlords at work made a mistake and gave me a day off, so I was actually able to catch them in Riverside. Otherwise, I probably would've had to wait until the next rally.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this new local restaurant a try after driving by yesterday and…read morediscovering it had finally opened. Our dinner nearly started off like the previous poster's but quickly corrected course and was a surprisingly good meal and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Nothing was dirty but the waitress' personality was a little off and when we attempted to order hummus (since it is by outward appearances a Greek/Mediterranean skewed restaurant) she non-apologetically informed us that they probably didn't have it but she would check...She then asked the people behind the counter three feet away, "We don't have hummus, right?' Well she was wrong, and the hummus was pretty good - the pita bread even better, freshly grilled and warm. Quizzically we inquired if our other dinner desires were also on the 'have nots' list: a gyro and chicken kabosb (nothing too crazy especially considering the random, if not odd, other menu items ranging from buffalo chicken wings to chicken parm). Lucky for us both were available, and (again) surprisingly good. Towards the end of our meal the owner, AJ, came to our table to introduce himself and welcome us to the restaurant. He encouraged us to share any of the low points of the evening and genuinely seemed excited to become a part of the neighborhood. They should really stick with the food they know, ditch the random American (and other) foods that you can get anywhere in Riverside. If they could focus on the good stuff then Hovan has some (much better) competition right around the corner.

The table was dirty, and the menu was covered in what appeared to be old salad dressing. Before placing my order, I went to the ladies' room. The door, once closed, left about a half-inch gap, through which anyone could easily peek. However, the restroom was clean -- pretty much the only compliment I can give this place. Once back to my seat, both my boyfriend and I decided on our orders. The server informed us that neither of our decisions were available, and pulled a take-out menu from her apron. She told us that only the "circled items" on her menu were what the restaurant had available. There were only six circled items! I asked her why the restaurant would open when it was not fully stocked, to which she gave a rather rude "I'm sorry," and nothing more. And WHY give us menus and allow us to decide on our dishes if you have only six selections available? Needless to say, my boyfriend and I left at that point. I will not be taking my hard-earned money back to International Grill. We instead visited Soup's On at the corner of King and Park, which I highly recommend -- he had the corned beef soup with a roast beef sandwich, and I ordered the French onion soup. All of our food was hot, delicious, and served in a timely manner and in clean environment -- which made up for the utter disappointment of International Grill.
