Caught them just as they were setting up along Argyle Blvd near the clocktower in Oakleaf. The stand was clean, everything looked freshly prepped, and the owner was friendly and welcoming. I went with a footlong topped with spicy mustard, chili, and coleslaw. The dog had a great snap, the bun appeared to be toasted, and the chili had just the right consistency... more like a hot dog chili sauce than a full-blown chili, which worked perfectly. The slaw was crispy and added a great crunch and balance to the spice. Also grabbed an Italian sausage for my wife, topped with mustard and peppers. It looked thick and flavorful... and she said it hit the spot. I'll definitely be back the next time I see them open during the week. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth stopping by.
