Deliciousness

What is there not to say!!! I purchased two chocolate covered strawberries, a flan, and an assortment of pan!!! Needless to say, none of it survived my family of 4. Thank you so much for being a gem here in Poway!

Food: 4.5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 3 Tucked in an unassuming strip mall sits su pan bakery. I was craving tres leches ( my favorite cake) and found this place on Yelp. Upon entering you are greeted with a simple but warm hello. I was interested in the sweets so headed straight to the counter ready to pick my selection. I wanted to a lot so ended up getting a slice of tres leches, tiramisu, mocha tres leches, triple chocolate tres leches and flan! The cakes were delicious! Just the amount of sweetness and very flavorful. I enjoyed the classic tres leches the most. All the desserts had either a chocolate crust or cookie crust which was a nice surprise. We also ordered a La Cubana torta. Soooo delicious. My daughter said it the best torta she's ever hard. The ambiance was not anything fancy but cozy. Service was friendly. I'm definitely returning!

I had just gotten my hair cut at the salon next door and was famished! I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was amazing. The ingredients were fresh and customized exactly how I asked. Because the cakes looked soooo inviting, I had to have one. I ate the burrito in the car, it was exactly what I needed. I saved the cake for when I got home. It was also fresh and flavorful. The staff was super nice :) the food came out pretty quick. It's a quick serve shop for sure with inside seating for about 10 at booth style seating. If you want to bring your doggo, they have two tables, for 2 each outside. They have regular drip coffee and tea, as well as sodas.

Love their tres leches cake. You really cant go wrong with all 3 flavors: chocolate, mocha and vanilla. My fave is chocolate and vanilla. I also love their carrot cake! Hidden gem!

Tres Leches Birthday cake

I ordered a Tres Leches Birthday cake from Su Pan Bakery here in Poway on Friday to be picked up Saturday morning. I was nervous thinking the order would get messed up. Arrived Saturday morning. The cashier was super nice and the cake was ready. I have to say I've had Tres leches cakes before, but this is the best one ever. Everybody at the birthday party loved it. This place is amazing!

I was very impressed with Su Pan Bakery, all the treats were great. The bacon breakfast burrito really surprised me, it's not huge but you can taste that it's made with care. The tortilla was soft, eggs were cooked well, not watery not greasy. Bacon was cooked great, ratios were good inside of the burrito and ingredients were mixed in. I like the potatoes, little crunch of the bacon gave it the perfect texture. I liked both the green and the red salsas. Bakery was very clean, no complaints there. I'll be back to Su Pan mostly because of the service. Genuinely nice good people, who are smiling and happy to be there. You can taste the love in the food.

Amazing Tortas. They have so much flavor and freshly made. I had the pierna and it had some spice to it but amazing. Generous with the amount of meat as well. I think this is my favorite place for Tortas now!!!! The tamales were very good as well with not all masa but good amount of meat.

Que rico! What delicious Mexican bread this place has. We were greeted by a friendly young lady, Maria. Who explained the differences between each bread. Took our delightful purchase home and made coffee. We tried all 4 pieces and all were extremely fresh, tasty and we couldn't stop eating it and raving about how this bakery offers bread that tastes as if it was homemade. All flavors were there, they don't skip on any spices (cinnamon, vanilla, etc.) and seem to use high quality. The bread melts in your mouth. Please give this place a try. We love donuts and other pastries but it's so good to experience other cultures and their bake goods as well. As they say 'buen provecho', 'Bon Appétit'.

Chicken Torta and fries..

This was a delicious meal.. we came for Tortas and Concha on a Sunday afternoon, only find to find they were sold out of Concha. However, we did treat ourselves to an Elote pastry, which was really flavorful and also fresh. The torta was tasty and the bread alone was incredible, perfectly toasted on the outside and soft. Each layer of the torta was fresh and well seasoned, making todays lunch special. The gentleman who worked this day was really accommodating. A clean and simple space, looking forward to making this a go to spot on Sundays.

Torta de milanesa de pollo? que decepción ya que es uno de mis lugares favoritos pero la verdad hoy si fallaron ya que de las dos tortas que pedi fueron echas mal donde esta el dressing ? Oh la mayonesa?

Really sweet owner and staff. Came for conchas - my favorite was the chocolate flavor. Pairs so well with coffee!!! And it was only $1!

Is this location still open? I couldn't find it yesterday and there is no phone number posted?

Yes! Go into the "Pizza" restaurant and you'll find them. Their business sign blew away, but they are there!

The chips and salsa were a standout -- the chips came out warm and perfectly crispy, and their salsa isn't the typical red kind but it's incredibly flavorful and not too spicy, which made it really easy to keep going back for more. Service was excellent and the staff were very attentive. The space is also large and comfortable with plenty of parking, which makes it an easy spot to come back to. They also offer happy hour every day from 2-5:30pm, which is a great bonus. Definitely planning to make this my go-to spot!

They really helped us narrow down our orders..... Food was very yummy. The margarita was not my fave. Very similar to a watermelon Jolly Rancher but unfortunately there was an artificial aftertaste. The food is what makes this place special. Everything is prepared with quality authentic flavors. Family friendly and a large menu. On this day , we were 4 adults and 1 toddler. Hannah was our server and took care of us well. We had the wet Chile verde burrito, Baja fish tacos, Chile relleno and beef taco combo , and the steak and mole enchilada. We all shared bites with each other, and everyone was happy with their choices. The margaritas can be strong, and they're delicious. This place ranks up with San Diego's best places. Disclaimer: this not your average taco shop. It's a bit more upscale hence the higher prices. For example, their T &T Fries run about $20 vs. your cheaper spots but my friends and I found this pretty hefty in size and shareable which was perfect. My co-workers and I also sampled their Fiest Platter which had mini burritos, wings, rolled tacos and the usually toppings of avo, sour cream and cheese. Tasty! I went on another occasion with the co-habby and we tried out their Tampiquena steak platter: rice, beans, rolled tacos, enchilada and salsa fresca. They also some tasty libations after a long hard day at work. House margaritas are always a reliable drink of choice to wash down all the delicious fare. Parking can get a bit congested during peak hours but we usually are able to find a spot with no issue. Definitely a regular hangout for me and my crew!

Great food, great service , great prices - what more could you ask for?…read more Been going here for years.

Date of visit: March 29, 2026…read more I was in the area getting some Easter gifts, and as it was lunchtime, thought I'd owe it to myself to check out Jalapeños Mexican Food. I placed an order for five rolled tacos with the works (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and guacamole), and a regular drink. While I was waiting, I munched on the free tortilla chips I was given paired with some spicy chunky salsa from the salsa bar. It's a good thing that I had the chips, because while there was a good bit of toppings on the rolled tacos, they just wouldn't stay on top of the order. Not just that, the rolled tacos themselves were a bit disappointing. Yes, the tortillas were crispy, but the filling was kinda... meh. And the worst part? Despite an order of rolled tacos and chips with salsa, I was STILL hungry after I left. I would've have liked to see if there was a combo of rice and beans that was available with the rolled tacos, but that menu board above the counter was TINY. And I felt rushed by the staff because I was trying to see the script, as well as a sense of rudeness overall. Otherwise, Jalapeño was clean, if not a bit on the crowded side. I was surprised though, that there was a line of customers almost out the door as I was leaving... but perhaps that was because there's not that many Mexican joints in this area of Carmel Mountain Ranch (unless you want to count Taco Bell across the street). Overall, while I'd like to try more of the menu, it'll be a hot minute before I come back.
