How will you protect my edges? 2. How will you react when I tell you that they are too tight? 3. Do I have to buy my own hair? 4. Do you offer wash services? First, the way she answered the phone was so bright and cheerful. She answered all of my questions and luckily her afternoon appt canceled so I was in same day at 1 for senegalese twists. As I was walking through the door, her client before me was leaving. Her cheerful dispositipn on the phone is even better in person. Her spirit is just wonderful. She gave me a wash, blow dry (not on high heat!), trim, and after all of that a scalp massage. When I tell you I could have fallen asleep.... Her conversation was on point. Just enough convo but not too much. I let her work on my head and I watched tv. Let me touch on her skills. AMAZING!!! I said before that I like my edges. She expressed that she doesnt braid tight becaise she knows how it feels. All braiding stylists say that but Purity is the truth. She braids tight enough that they are secure but not so tight that there is tension everywhere, your head is inflamed, you need to pop all of the pills when you get home, and youre sleeping on your forehead for 2 weeks until they loosen. There was none of that. If one happened to cross that threshold she immediately took steps to make it better. Additionally, she checked in periodically to make sure I was all right. My braids are gorgeous! I love them so much! They are a little long for me but that's my fault, I didnt express the length I wanted. I was so excited and caught up in the scalp massage and conversation that I forgot to mention. This is definitely not her fault and I dont hold it against her. I need to give my hair a break from all of the manipulation so I am definitely going to visit Purity again and tell everyone I know. PS...she provided that hair.

I arrived at her immaculate salon at 9 am, and she completed my hair at under 6 hours. The whole experience with her was amazing. We had delightful conversation, and she is a master braider who didn't put any unnecessary stress or tension on my hair at all but achieved beautiful results. Look no further, go to Purity!

She said it was because of the length of my hair. My mothers hair is down her back and started falling out after 3 days of having her hair done. She stated this was because of her texture. Both my mom and I have been getting our hair braided for years with no issues, so this is kind of hard to believe. There was no offer to re-do the strands that had fallen out of my mothers hair or to fix my hair. I am very very disappointed and will not be back. I would rather wait a bit at my previous salon and know my style will last versus sitting with someone who will rush and takes no pride in their work. Also, during my mom's appointment she took a call from someone trying to get their son's hair done. She told the woman she was booked on every day that the woman asked for and stated when she got off of the phone that no one is going to tell her when they get their hair done. After having my second baby, my hair went through a bit of a crazy phase. I was pretty nervous to have a new stylist cut and color it. But now, I feel like my hair has never looked better! I came in and explained my concerns (being treated like every other natural) and Nicole explained her process and asked questions before beginning. I truly appreciate that. I didn't go into a salon and leave with a sore scalp. I have very tight coils and my hair has been combed with small tooth combs that yank my fine coils. It is also wrung out which causes serious tangles. This is why I opt not to wear my hair in natural styles. Based on her ratings, I decided to give this shop a try. Nicole is gentle while effective.
