Each time I have been the staff have been very friendly and kind. They answer all the questions I have about the process they will be doing on my teeth. The location is in a great spot and the building is very clean and kept proper. The only complaint I would have is that I had to sit for quite awhile in the waiting room before my apointment. Dr Fedoretz was very kind though and made great conversation while I was getting my dental work done. Overall super happy with university dental. She organized all of my insurance coverage, even calling them to get more information. I thought I had just got her on a good day. Nope! When I went in for my appt she was there and was just as awesome as well as all the wonderful ladies behind the desk. Not to mention they have the newest and coolest massage chair I've ever been in! So that gives them a 5 start just for that! Once all the insurance was cleared up and I went in for my appt it continued to be extremely enjoyable and fun. The doctor is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He makes sure you understands everything. Not only is the doctor so smart and great but Lori my hygenist was equally as amazing. I have bad anxiety about pain and they did absolutely everything I could have asked for to keep the experience as enjoyable as possible. Constantly hounded by phone to make appointments -despite requesting for these calls to stop. Staff CONSTANTLY PUSH to have X-rays even though I have stated REPEATEDLY that I do not want to discuss X rays unless a concern or pain is present. They DON'T respect this. Once they did 3 different types of X-rays when my older minor child went alone to her appointment. They told her they were necessary, she believed them, trusted them. Once they did an X-ray on my other minor child without my consent- I was sitting in the waiting room. Tonight was the final straw- the staff member that called me said X-rays would be done at my upcoming appointment for the hygienist to do her job! That's a new one! They don't respect their patient's wishes. It's all about the money. Last week I showed up for my appointment and I hadn't even stepped into the room and the hygienist said ok we need to do 2 sets of X-rays! I ended up not having any treatment as they claimed I did not have any insurance. Called my provider and of course I did. It was something wrong on their end. My time was wasted because of their incompetence. They did not even apologize. It's all about money! Take your business elsewhere!

This year for the first time ever the bill I received from Sherwood Dental matched my insurance coverage to the penny.

After all of that, he insisted on a root canal, even though the cold feeling on my tooth disappeared as soon as he took it off. I refused the root canal and he became hostile. It seemed like he was on drugs. Plus, the exam room was filthy. There was years of built up finger prints on the wall and the chair was covered in thick grime.

My entire family now sees him and thinks very highly of him. I had the normal teeth issues- cavities, root canals and crowns and from day one he was truly kind and caring. Very sensitive to if you are in any pain and what is most comfortable for you. Genuine man. He will give you the options for what is available to you and for your problem. the pros and cons and a rough price estimate and most importantly not rush you to make any decision in the moment. I personally had to have quit a bit of work done and he was patient with me and made me very comfortable just taking care of one thing at a time. Another bit of information- My brother was the same, not keen on going to the dentist, had horrible horrible pain and finally he looked like a chipmunk- his infections were SOOO BAD- he made an appointment to see Dr. Scarsellone and never looked back...It was actually scary for awhile because his infection was so bad, he had to go to the hospital for IV antibiotics for a week 3 times a day because regular pills would not help. His gum line was swollen over his actual teeth...but put into the hands of Dr. Scarsellone he was taken care of patiently. Dr. Scarsellone took it one step at a time and made sure he got better and his teeth back under control. My brother now raves about him!!! Most people ask how the dental hygienists are...Again not my favourite thing to do- but I do go and they are very good as well. Sharon has been super to me. The receptionist is wicked- will help you make sure your work and appointments are spaced out correctly so that you can maximize your benefits. I can't say enough about the staff in this office and especially Dr. Scarsellone. Way to go Terrace Heights Dental.
