I decided to get my hair colored done for the very FIRST TIME here with Mychelle. I've never had it colored and I did not want something extreme and crazy. So I decided to get an Ombre. Please keep in mind that I know Mychelle because I've gone to her for haircuts in the past and only haircuts. I do like the way she cuts hair so I thought she would be good at doing my ombre because there was that sense of trust. I signed up for the following service: haircut and ombre. Before I started I showed her pictures of the color I wanted and how I wanted it to be done. I told her that I wanted my hair to look as natural with a light shade of brown. Well what I got was extreme and not what I wanted. Something that concerned during the process was when her mother, Lulu came over and told her daughter that the way she was bleaching my hair was that she was using too much product and told her to do it this way. At that point it was too late to stop, my hair was already bleached. I decided to just continue despite that red flag , I mean if her mother is coming over to tell her how to bleach my hair then wouldn't you be concerned? Then later in the process when she took off the foil I noticed that parts of my hair was bleached more than others. I was mortified but stayed quiet. I thought that maybe with the color it won't be noticeable. Then she came over asking me to pick a color scheme from a book for my hair. I was so confused in terms of what she was asking. I told her and showed her pictures of how I wanted it to be done in the beginning. She just said to pick a color and none of the colors look close to the color I wanted. She suggested a few colors but it was it wasn't any that I loved or the shade that I wanted. At this point I was confused because I thought that hair professionals mixed colors to get to a color that the client would want. Or know how to mix colors to get to get to different shades. I didn't know that there were shades already ready to go that you pick from a book and then that's how they color your hair. Like I said this is my first time getting my hair colored and I didn't know the process for it. This was not mentioned to me at all in the beginning before starting. If this was how it going to be then I would never have decided to get my hair colored. So I picked one of her recommendations because at this point it was too late to turn back. I did not like how my hair turned out. I even told her that and she suggested that to give it a few weeks and if I still don't like it then that she can tone it for free. Well more than a few weeks have gone by and I still hate it. I decided not to take her up on the offer for toning it down. She had lost my trust and once my trust has been lost then i could never go back. How can I trust her with my hair ever again? The only thing I liked was the haircut but the color was not what I wanted and I wanted to cry. I paid $295 for a haircut and ombre. It was expensive for something I did not like. I feel like I was cheated and now it's been a few months since this incident. I did not want to write this review but then again I was not at fault and I want to warn others and not have anyone else go through the horrible experience I went through. I do not reccomend Mychelle or this salon to anyone. She does not know how to color hair. She is a complete novice. The salon charges high prices for haircuts and haircolors. Not worth the dime. Please see pictures of my hair of the incident vs what I was really looking for. I hope my review helps someone. read more

The negative reviews are 100% correct. Their experiences are spot on as I've had same service and experiences very similar. Too bad we, as customers, want the best service on all levels as we trust them with our hair but are let down by their lack of really understanding what we want and their personal training. It's their way not the customers way. If one complains, you will be treated by the owner in a very non professional way exhibiting retaliation before your eyes. She gets aggressive. I don't recommend this place at all. It may have a few good people working there but you're taking the chance who you are getting. Not worth the emotional distress the owner puts you through or the inflated prices by her. read more

I wanted to stop in for a quick blowout. There was a miscommunication from the beginning because the main hairstylist started giving me a consultation for a Brazilian Blowout. I corrected her and she instantly got defensive and said "I don't know why you said Brazilian Blowout." (I didn't) Then she had another stylist take me on and there was a language barrier so I explained it a couple times and showed 3 different pictures for reference. As soon as she started blow drying my hair it went down hill. She used her fingers in my curly hair with NO product! I kept asking for the round brush and showed the picture. I explained what I wanted to 3 different stylist to translate it. When she used a curling iron on my still damp hair and produce a stiff ringlet curl I had her stop and told her it was not what I wanted. She got the head stylist to "fix" it. But she didn't redampen my hair, just used a round brush. I reiterated what I wanted. In the end it wasn't what I wanted but was decent enough. What shocked me was when I said what I had wanted at the end she had the audacity to say that I could have gotten that style if my hair was still wet when I finally ended up with her! At that point I paid and left dumbfounded by the entire ordeal. I could have done it better myself and I ended up with flat hair with no body & frizzy! read more

Lili is Horrible horrible horrible for Brazilian waxing. 1) she was not wearing gloves. 2) she was DOUBLE DIPPING!!! 3) She didn't know the difference between hard wax and soft wax. 4) she opened the door to walk out while my fucking vagina was busted open and exposed to get waxed. Seriously WTF?! Idgaf if she's new, everyone should get proper training on sanitary protocol and privacy while doing a Brazilian wax. I seriously had to guide her on how to remove the damn soft wax from my skin because she was so lost on what to do. After one strip to take off the wax on my bikini line and the wax that dropped all down my thigh, I told her to stop, I got up, got dressed, walked out, and went straight to the manager. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND CLEAR LACK OF TRAINING!!! I'm glad the manager was understanding and I actually ended up getting waxed by María Lourdes, their experienced waxing lady who actually did a great job. If I wasn't in such need of a wax in this new town, I would've just left after speaking to the manager. Idk about their other services, but if you really need to come here for a Brazilian wax, please go to María Lourdes and no one else. read more

If we could leave NO STARS WE WOULD. YHIS PLACE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SEVICE! Husband walks into the shop, politely says hi, ladies look his way and doesn't even acknowledge him or say anything. Another lady and her kid came in and the ladies tell them, "oh would you like to stay or come back another time because we're closing soon." "We only usually do men's haircuts during the week, not the weekends." WTF? Really? Why couldn't they tell my husband that right off the bat instead of having him wait just to find out later. Styles and Smiles you really need to get you s*** together and get some professional training. read more
