Monica has been my colorist and stylist since 2017 and I am obsessed with her and her work. I have recommended her to all my friends who also adore her. What I love most about Monica is that while she is chill, relaxed, and so comfortable to be around she is such an expert. I always come in wanting to do ridiculous things like bleach my entire head or do an all over color that will require bi weekly maintenance. And Monica always steers me in the right direction, giving me exactly the look I want for the lowest level of maintenance and fee possible. I always leave her salon feeling so confident ! Binta offers great customer service. Binta and her team are very sweet and hospitable, but I wasn't…read morepleased with the hair and braiding technique. I asked for marley twists and she started the twist by first braiding the extensions and then began to twist the hair (see photo). I'm very particular about my hair and I like the consistency, so this really bugged me. Also before I came in, I called Binta and she said that the price was higher than usual because the grade of hair that would be used for marley twists is expensive. DO NOT BELIEVE THAT LADIES!! I'm not sure what hair she used, but it was cheap, it felt like plastic manufactured hair and it's not worth the additional fee. Also, I'm tall so I wanted my braids long and they're a little bit below my shoulders (which was another reason why the price was high). I paid a total of $280. Back home in Atlanta I pay $200 (not including a tip) for exactly what I want. Binta is sweet and all, but with that amount of money for braids, customer service alone just doesn't cut it. Next time I'll make arrangements to get my hair done in Atlanta. If you have the means to make that same trip, then I suggest you do before going here. I'm not sure why the other ratings were so high. I fell for the hype - I wouldn't go back and I would not recommend this salon.
