Because Mellicia knows me, my style, and what I like, we don't have to start over each time I reach out. She's helped me over the years refine what we started together back in 2014 - sometimes my priorities or budget is different, sometimes my size and situation is different, but she gets it - she knows that that's how life is - and is always helpful AND supportive as she gives me these bursts of inspiration and guidance. Over the years, I've gone back for updated wishlists, closet edits (I choose to have her help me configure new outfits with what's in my closet in that moment - it's been so helpful to have a gallery of options on my camera roll for busy mornings) or the occasional one-off help with something specific for an event. All of these combined services that I can choose from takes the overwhelm out - it's like a menu of services that can be curated. Choosing from those services helps me cut through the noise and create options that just work for whatever situation I find myself in that feel and work just for ME, not just what's trending - and that's always been so important because I value my personal style, that she's helped me find! I've also really loved being part of her online community (Continuum) this past year - I'm so glad I've got access to this group, which is basically a wonderful community of women who share shopping and styling ideas, inspiration, gift ideas, tips and tricks - there are even moments to connect monthly live - as we put the tools and guidance that Mellicia has taught us all into practice with each other - it's like a force multiplier! It's been quite unexpected how valuable it's been. What I think I appreciate most - is that working with Poplin has never felt like just a one-time styling service, which is what I've experienced before with other stylists. Working with Mellicia feels like a genuine relationship - honestly, I can go a couple of years without checking in, and then come back for a little refresh, and we just pick up where we left off - like an old friend that gets you! Mellicia always meets me in the moment I'm in with zero judgment - and I'm so grateful. Looking back, this investment over the years in ME has been soooo worth it! Even before we met, Christine and Colton were incredibly thoughtful and attentive in their work to understand me and my wardrobe needs so that by the time they went in for the edit, I had total trust in them. I was specifically wanting help weeding out things that were no longer age appropriate now that I'm in my mid-thirties -- they did that and helped me identify styles and silhouettes that are flattering and not too young or too old for me. Since I have a limited budget for clothes, I was a little concerned that I would come away feeling frustrated that I couldn't afford to update my closet according to their recommendations. Cuniform isn't just personal styling, it's also a course in lifestyle development, in adulting, frankly. Their approach is both responsible and refreshingly straight forward without a trace of elitism; they are truly devoted to revolutionizing their client's personal culture to save the environment, promote ethical labor practices, and create amazing daily "uniforms" for all the roles in your life. And there's no woo-woo crunchiness about it; they'll gladly deliver a succinct and powerful manifesto about the wastefulness of fast fashion, and cite substantive experience, reading and research to support it and their solutions. I have felt a change for the better in my life. Seriously. Their dual commitment to ethical business and efficacious organization creates a sustainable, recyclable wardrobe model that feels like it is creeping into the rest of my life. It's an amazing experience to feel the goals in your life uplifted by the clothes you wear. The first thing she did was meet with me for about an hour to review my tastes, what I like what I want to change, etc. She diligently took notes about my preferences and her thoughts on her approach to helping me "take it up a notch". We are friends, so she knew about my personality and how my current clothes worked into that. She also had a sense of how she could start me off in more stylish direction without going out of my comfort zone. At our next meeting she went through my closet, item by item. Items that were not in line with our direction, she tastefully explained why they should be taken out of my wardrobe- how the cut wasn't right for me, how some fabrics were better quality than others and if the style was outdated. On the other side, she explained why things we kept worked well; cut, color, fabric, texture and style. It was eye opening to say the least. My own personal image consultant! We were not done. Her next step was to send me closet notes which outlined what she noticed about my closet and clothes and my needs by season. Next we set-up an appointment to shop! My favorite part! Part of her service is to play personal shopper. She shopped ahead of me, pulling items at stores within my tastes and budget. Then I met her at Anthropologie where the shopping began. We visited Nordstrom and Diesel as well. In each store she explained why she choose the items, what she was trying to accomplish with each piece and how it fit on me (most were spot on, a few didn't work- she immediately noticed any item that wasn't good and had me remove them). My "problem" area were my hips and booty- she picked great jeans for me (Jo Jeans for my booty). It was fun! We also had another shopping trip for shoes. I've never shopped that far in advance for fall/winter- and cannot wait to wear all the great clothes we picked. or our next shopping trip! It is extremely difficult to find a wedding dress under a budget, and I have tried on 40-50 dresses…read more(just hoping they would fit or work or ANYTHING) before I came to Seattle Bridal Rack. I was honestly pretty fatigued by that point and it required a calm sales associate to help my bruised ego. Thankfully, Seattle Bridal Rack was AMAZINGLY sweet, gentle, and not pushy at all. Other bridal salons would try to bully me into buying a dress but here, they were kind and patient and let me process the dress itself. Months later I'm wearing it at my wedding and it is the most beautiful I ever felt. I am incredibly lucky to run across this dress. You are a hidden gem and I have told all the other brides I come across about you. Thank you for making me feel like a star!

I love how they had dresses that were close to your size, I feel it's easier to see how the dress will look after alterations. Ashyia was my stylist and she was the sweetest and the most helpful! Her calm approach helped settle my nerves and made me comfy. She was great at picking out styles and very kind when I got emotional. I wound up changing a handful of small details such as the shirt I was wearing as our venue decorations changed so this isn't 100% the suit I got. Jeff's attention to detail though was fantastic and my changes certainly don't reflect on him or the quality of this suit which is impeccable. I spoke with a few bespoke suit places and Jeff just got my style the best. While other suits were beautiful, I think the small details Jeff payed attention to and some of his designs for the more modern person. Pockets for days! Jeff was super friendly, accommodating and helpful. My lady requested a swatch of fabric to help tie together the Father's and best man's suit with mine and he was able to accommodate. All in all...I highly suggest giving Jeff a try. He was great and look forward to the next one.

The "funny" thing is I was wearing one of the suits I purchased from him in 2008. Still fits great. I wore a different sport coat and slacks into the office earlier this week from closer to 2006 and my office mates thought I got new clothes. They might cost more than an off-the-rack suit but I promise you that once you wear a custom suit, shirt or slacks you won't want to go back. And of course the cost per wear is pretty low after almost 20 years. And they aren't being removed from my closet. Jeff is super personable and not pushy. He knows his stuff and you'll look great and feel great because looking good is feeling good.

Over the years, Liese made my wedding gown (fit like a glove!), my maternity clothes (I was SO fashionable at work) and, now, adjustments on clothes that I like in the store, but, just don't fit properly. She is fair and honest.. if something isn't quite right, she will make sure you're happy. And, the house that the business is in is beautiful and inviting (and there's parking on the street).
