A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Deadwood…read more My wife and I stumbled upon this incredibly unique and peaceful wine house just steps away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Deadwood--and what a discovery it was. In a city known for its casinos and saloons, this beautifully restored home offers an entirely different kind of experience: one centered around relaxation, quality, and taste. Housed in a gorgeously maintained historic property, this spot features multiple cozy rooms filled with elegant furnishings and stained glass windows, along with spacious porches both upstairs and downstairs where you can unwind with a glass or bottle of wine. The ambiance alone makes it worth a visit. The wine selection is top-tier and surprisingly affordable, especially for South Dakota. They offer a solid list of wines by the glass or bottle, but also have a curated room filled with exceptional bottles from around the world--at prices that beat anything else we saw in the area, whether in Custer or Deadwood. You can enjoy your wine there (with a small corkage fee) or take it home. To complement the wine, they serve thoughtfully arranged charcuterie boards featuring a variety of cheeses, fruits, and other healthy bites. You can also add sliced salami to customize your board further to enhance the experience. This isn't your typical restaurant or wine bar--it's more like being invited into someone's beautifully curated home for a relaxing afternoon or evening. It's a peaceful, upscale oasis in a town that can sometimes feel a little wild. Highly recommended if you're looking for something refined, memorable, and just a short stroll from the main strip.

Wonderful place for a nice glass(or bottle) of wine and charcuterie! Love the different themed…read more rooms. Great for couples or groups. The owner is very knowledgeable and makes you feel right at home.

HIGHLY recommend! We loved our key lime gelato (all their…read moregelato is homemade in shop!!) We loved our iced caramel latte (even offered some whipped cream for my tween). Loved the wine tasting - I tried 5 local wines from wineries: Prairie Berry and Firehouse. The three Prairie Berry wines were all VERY fruity and sweet (two reds and one white). And the Calamity Jane blend is the sweetest they offer she said! The two Firehouse were tied for my favorite! Sangiovese and Syrah. It did NOT disappoint! My wine pourer was still getting to know the wines themselves - but she was super kind and lovely to talk to - thank you Moriah!! Mya helped us at the register and was equally amazing. No joke - we've been to a few local businesses in the Rapid City/Keystone area and every single last person we talk to is LOVELY! Everyone has been super kind, helpful and willing to help a newbie Black Hills tourist find her way around. Oh! And have you seen the yard at G&G? Filled with corn hole (2 sets), a playground, an outdoor foosball table, two giant chess sets and tons of tables and chairs. And a fabulous way to spend our lunch break from sightseeing!

This place stands out just driving by. They got kid's playground, big chess boards, and foosball…read moreoutside. Their menu is pretty simple but tasty. Reasonable and they even offer free local wine tasting! Definitely a nice place to relax during a visit to Mt. Rushmore.

What a COOL place! The humidor ROOM is giant, the selection of cigars is amazing, and the employees…read moreare even better. We loved it when this business was in its old location, but this space is so much better. They have couches, a bar, high tops, and even live music! They also sell merch. The bar is just beer and wine, FYI. No THC drinks either. My husband and I were in town for three days and we hung out here every day. I bought two cigars to take home and the employee gave me this sealable envelope and a packet to keep the cigars fresh. What an awesome place. We want to come back to Deadwood just to visit this place again! FYI - no one under 21yo and there aren't TV's. Enjoy your smoke, your beer, and talk to your people! I kinda wanted to go back with a book. Haha

AWARENESS: Deadwood Tobacco is a staple in the town. You…read moreknow what's said about when in Rome, right? NARRATIVE: Deadwood Tobacco is legendary with anyone who enjoys cigar lounges. Not a huge place but, they offer some fine cigars and a large humidor to back them up. They also sell local and domestics beers and wines which you can enjoy while smoking that stogie. SCENE: During our visit, Deadwood was located underground, under a casino / hotel. But according to their recently updated websites, the Deadwood Tobacco Company has moved to the Mason Building and now sits street-level in a new 7,000' facility next to the Silverado Casino. RECOMMENDATION(S): When in the town of Deadwood, DCT is a must try. Even if its just for a beer or two.
