I just purchased the Stages SC 2 bike and i love it! I am a petite woman and this is the first bike I've found that is so adjustable that it fits both me - at 5'2" 103 lbs and my husband - at 5'11" 160 lbs It is sturdy and solid. It's the studio bike they use for Les Mills classes and I even saw it being used by a soccer player in the second season of Ted Lasso. Shifting between easy, medium and hard tensions is easy with the large knob and the shifter. Brian, the customer service rep, answered all my questions quickly and did not pressure me to buy. I cannot emphasize enough how poor my customer service experience was with Studiocycles. I was lied to; I felt demeaned, and discarded; it reduced my wife to tears. For context I work in customer service. I bought a stationary bike from them in late June. They provided a 30-day trial period for the bike. If you don't like the bike, you can pay a 25% restocking fee and return it, no questions asked. We were curious about the model that they sell a lot of: the Schwinn AC Performance Plus. We were sold by the excellent salesperson's pitch, they said that this would be an upgrade to a different bike we were interested in, and the specs were almost identical when compared to that bike. Once we received the bike, we noticed a few issues we hadn't experienced with other stationary bikes, one of which in particular made the ride experience poor and wobbly. After two weeks riding it, we decided that we could not look past these issues, and we wanted to make an exchange for a different bike. On the original sales call, the salesperson mentioned that it would be easy to contact them about service or other issues re: the bike during this time. We reached out via phone and email: cue radio silence. We attempted to connect with Studiocycles to facilitate this exchange for 10 days, nervous about the trial period ending before we had the chance to return the bike. We called multiple times per day over that time period, and sent numerous emails. I legitimately thought they had gone out of business. It took reaching out via social media to finally have an actual conversation about facilitating this return. Once we finally connected, we were told that we should have expected this gap in communication due to COVID. We told them that our experience of the bike was not as described by the salesperson and we wanted to facilitate a return considering the amount of time already spent trying to reach anyone at the company. Hearing this, Studiocycles informed us that they were going back to "listen to the tapes," in an attempt to excuse the company of any mis-representation of the bike they sold us. They repeatedly denied the validity of our claims that the bike was not as described by their sales team, when we know differently. Instead of keeping a customer by offering to facilitate an exchange for a different, more expensive bike (which we were ready and willing to do at the outset) they decided that demeaning a customer about a legitimate claim is worth it to ensure their collection of less than $1k in restocking fees. It's quite the efficient customer-losing system. I was thankful that after days of serial attempts to reach them we connected before the 30-day window was up. Based on the behavior of management during this interaction, their probable response if we had only heard back from them after the window: "well, you signed the contract, too bad the 30-day trial period is up". I wish that this was the end of the story. To facilitate the return of the bike, they asked us to work with one of two shipping companies they recommended. After connecting with both, I found that one didn't service our state, and the other would not insure the return, which is required for returns by Studio Cycles's contract. After confronting them on this and trying to get answers on what other shipping company we could use, or whether they would even accept this package as returned without proof of insurance, we received no suitable response for DAYS. In order to get our money back we had to have it shipped back in less than 10. When we got in touch with them, and finally spoke to a "manager", they lied to our face to say that the shipping company would insure a return as long as it was covered in "black plastic wrap". I took this laughable proposition to the shipping company and they confirmed that Studio Cycles was lying about that. In the end, the confirmed lies were the last straw. We stopped trying to comply with an impossible contract and are hoping that we can get our money back in some other way. To Studio Cycles, individual riders seem to be expendable. I sincerely hope they don't treat all of their clients this way. If larger studios see this review, be wary about what you're signing up for. read more

We recently purchased a Stages SC3 spin bike from Studio Cycle/Total Body Expert. We encountered a technical issue with the bike after it was assembled. However, we were unable to reach the Stages' customer service department after multiple attempts during normal business hours. As my last resort, I called Studio Cycles. Valentin (Service department) and Saul (IT Dept) were very patient in listening to my problem and communicate clearly and promptly. I cancelled my order on December 22nd 2021 and have yet to get a refund as of January 14th 2022. I sent an email along with speaking to Miriam who assured me the order would be canceled and my CC refunded. Since that time, I've been ignored on multiple occasions through e-mail and phone. Please read the BBB reviews and judgements against this company which also goes by the name Total Body Experts. This has been a total nightmare! I have reported them to the BBB and my bank is waiting for them to respond to our refund requests. You can buy your indoor bikes direct from the manufacturer or another reputable online retailer. Samuel answered the phone and from the beginning was so personable, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. I had several questions about different models and oh my goodness, Samuel knew all the answers!! Friendly and did not pressure me. He also told me to feel free to text if he was on the phone with another customer that was another way to contact him. So several days later i was ready to buy the bike, called and texted, and next morning we were on the phone. He is wonderful, I would highly recommend you contact him about any spin bike. I purchased an AC PerformanceBike from Total Body Experts/ Studio Cycle in November. I received the bike sooner than promised. Unfortunately, the bike had an issue with the Flywheel. I immediately called them, and within 15 minutes, a representative by the name of Owen called me back. I explained the situation, and he promised to remedy it. After I hung up the phone, I read past reviews on the company and got nervous, thinking I may have made a mistake with this business. NOPE!! Owen had a replacement bike within 24 hours at my house. StudioCycles aka Total Body Experts has provided some of the worst service I have ever experienced. I ordered a bike the beginning of November in hopes of having it for Christmas (as promised) and I did not receive it until mid January. To make matters worse, the bike is faulty, the handle bars don't lock tight as they should so they loudly bang back and forth when the bike is being used. As with seeking an answer on when I would my receive my bike, StudioCycles has been no help on responding to repairing or exchanging my very expensive purchase that was supposed to be in perfect working condition. I cc'd the CEO in my last email to see if I might get a better result, but apparently he is also indifferent to unhappy customers. How a company run like this stays in business is beyond me. Great experience. I called Studio Cycles November 21st to order a spin bike. Brian F was very helpful and I decided to purchase a Stages SC3 spin bike, which I used to ride at Lifetime Fitness. I needed the bike quickly, and Brian assured me it would deliver within 5-8 business days. Six business days later, the bike arrived in Tennessee as promised in good condition. Brian noted that some simple assembly would be required, and this was an accurate assessment. I am really enjoying this new cycle. Overall, great product, great price, they did what they promised. I found a Keiser spin cycle tool kit on their website. After ordering it, I received an email saying order placed. After not hearing anything for days, I reached out and received an email from Jessica F at totalbodyexperts. She told me it would be 28 days for my order to ship, I told her to refund and she said she could not. She said she would refer my message to customer service and they would call in 24 hrs. I received no call as promised so I emailed again today 2/7/2022. I received a call from Unknown Name at 424-218-0656 and the call stated that is was clearly posted on my invoice about the 28 days. I asked again to cancel because there was no notice about this delay on the website nor when I checked out. After hanging up on her, I checked the email I received and there is no mention of 28 days to ship. Oh and get this, she said she would cancel but would have to charge me 20% restocking fee! What restocking fee for something taking you 28 days to ship? As I stated, I hung up on her after telling her to just send the darn thing when ever. Guess I will need to talk to Discover Card folks! We ordered our schwin carbon blue bike used at a great price. It came with the front wheel squeaking but we called them and they told us how to apply some lubricant and it stopped squeaking. the crank bolt was missing and they sent out a technician to install and ensure the bike was working properly. overall great price and service. read more

Purchased bike on May 30th, faulty item received Jun30th, company notified on July 1st, technician evaluated bike on July 11th, no news ever since. I ordered Schwinn indoor bike AC Performance Carbon Plus, including a computer. Paid $2,162 on May 30th. Due to COVID bike estimated to arrive in 2-3 weeks. Took 4-5 weeks (no problem), bike arrived on June 30 producing belt and crank noises. The computer screen scratched. Company notified by email on July 1. The company arranged tech inspection happening on July 11th. The company notified by tech about massive problems in bike. Tech recommended return bike. I have been trying to talk to somebody at studiocycles/totalbodyexperts on the phone, email, and facebook for the last week. I haven't received any support (or answer!) about this issue. I understand that conditions are challenging (they weren't to take my money) but it simply takes a quick phone call/email to provide information. I did my research and found this bike to be the best choice. I was disappointed to see that the bike sent was a lemon, and that was determined by the technician. I paid a significant amount of money for a NEW bike, not a repaired or refurbished one. Based on that, and the disappointing service provided by totalbodyexperts, I want to return this broken item and receive a full refund of my money. This return is NOT motivated by a change of mind or anything other than the fact that I was sent a broken bike and a scratched computer (valued in more than 100$). I refuse to pay a 25% restocking fee for the return of the item. The company must be responsible for taking care of situations like this one. I, as a client, did not incur in any fault of my own, I just paid the item in full when I was asked for and waited patiently for this to be solved. What a terrible experience. We were promised a delivery by Christmas. Our invoice stated delivered 14-24 business days after purchase. We are now on business day 30 and I have left numerous voicemails and send just as many emails with no call back. The only way to get into contact with someone is to contact Sales. SUMMARY - I would never buy from them again. Buying from them was a giant mistake Before buying from them I should have read the reviews and searched the BBB website. The reviews on both are abysmal. I originally spoke with the salesman, Brian, several times and he got me a good price on the bike and promised me it would be shipped a few days after I ordered it. I gave him my credit card number, placed the order, and then I received an email that it will not be shipped for three weeks. I live across the country which means I would not get the bike for a month. I needed this bike for rehabilitation after surgery. I mentioned that to him several times. I tried calling, emailing, and texting Brian but he went silent on me. I called customer service many times and nobody was able to assist me with this issue. When I inquired about cancelling the order, they all made sure to remind me there was a cancellation fee. I waited for the bike and one day I get a small box and called them asking where was the rest of the bike was and that is when I found out it will be in several shipments over several days. A few days later I got the bike but the pedals and computer were not there and a few days after that I got those items. I was still missing one piece, the tablet holder? I needed this item to hold the tablet that I needed for my training programs. This was nowhere to be found. I called them several times and after several calls they informed me it was backordered. Almost 6 weeks after I ordered the bike I am told that is on back order. Two weeks later I get a call that it is stock and they will ship it overnight to me. Several days passed before I received the package and it was clearly marked that it was not shipped overnight. When I opened the box I found what looked like a used tablet holder and there was not mounting hardware and no documentation. I called them again to tell them about this but I also let them know that this does not look like it will fit my bike. The bracket it s the wrong size and shape. They promised to send me another one overnight and two days later I get an envelope with 4 screws in it. They never sent the new tablet holder and I am not sure what the screws were for. Again, I had to call them several times and after several days I was informed that Stages is backordered on the tablet holder and I will have to wait 1-2 more months. It was after after more than a dozen other communications with Studio-Cycles (TBE) and me inquiring about other tablet holders did they say they had a universal tablet holder that would work for now until the "real" one came in. They promised to send it to me overnight. I waited a few days for the tablet holder and then called them. Again they said it was shipped out but FedEx sent me a note stating that they shipped it out the day AFTER I called them. When I finally got the universal tablet holder I could not believe they expected me to use this. The universal tablet holder is comical and will not mount the tablet in front of you and will only allow for you to mount it to the side. It also takes up a significant amount of space on the handlebars. Up until now I was working with Monet and Miriam and they are both unprofessional and cannot be trusted. They made numerous promises, none of which were kept. Then I spoke with Roxy. Roxy said she is looking at the case and will speak with her management to see what they can do to make it right and will get back to me in a few hours. Seven days I have not heard from her even though I reached out to her with numerous calls, texts, and Facebook messages asking when is she going to call me. This evening I get an asinine email from Monet stating that I am to work with her and Miriam only (the two people that were not able to assist me and made many unkept promises). I will continue to wait for management to get me a message directly or through Roxy or Monet or Miriam. I doubt that message will ever come. I will never buy another thing from them and I will recommend the same from others. read more

I wish I had read these Yelp reviews before dealing with Studio-Cycles. Like many other reviewers have stated, they are GREAT salespeople. So good that Jay Allred managed to talk me out of the bike I wanted (a Stages SC3 - I believe they didn't have any in stock at the time) into a Schwinn AC Performance Pro. He spent an hour on the phone with me and assured me that the bike was in stock and I'd have it in my apt in NY by the following week. A week and a half goes by and all I have are unanswered emails to Jay and finally an email from their service department saying it could take up to 28 days to ship. I shouldn't have sent my Peloton Bike + back so quickly - now I'm left with nothing to exercise on. I also feel like I got the "used car salesman" treatment. I don't want a Schwinn, I want a Stages bike. So today, I call Studio-Cycles 5 times. The first time, I'm given Jay's cell number and told to text him. I text him. No answer. All day. I call back several times and am told that only Jay can help me make the change. But Jay isn't getting back to me and he completely ignored my emails regarding the status of my Schwinn delivery. This evening, I spoke to someone named Amanda, who assured me that she would text me immediately after hanging up the phone and would "speak to the CEO and CFO about my issues and update me". Well of course, no texts from her. I'm canceling my order and going with a company that actually cares about their customers instead of taking their money and giving them the go around. UPDATE: After posting this Yelp review, Studio Cycles finally reached out to me. They offered me a discount to purchase the bike I wanted. I said no - I don't want to do business with a company that can't follow through with customers unless the customer leaves a negative review online. They kept pushing me to order with them until I said "if you refund my money, I'll take down my Yelp review." That's what got them to refund me and cancel the order. As a former spin instructor I was looking to invest in a good bike and decided to shop for a Stages bike to use at home during covid. I came across Studio-cycles online around the new year and saw they had specials. Their store wasn't open due to covid so I called the customer service hotline and the girl I spoke to was very helpful and even found me the SC2 bike in stock. I purchased a NEW StairMaster SM3 stepmill from Stephen Uzan @ Total Body Experts/Studiocycles. He was soooo helpful during the sale. Once I received the NEW StairMaster, it did not work correctly. I called twice and finally got a call back from Pedro. I was then passed off to the manufacture to deal with the warranty. After 2 Tec visits, my StairMaster STILL is not working. I have called/emailed Pedro twice and he will not respond. I don't recommend doing business with these guys. read more
