After going from one sporting goods store to another... Sport Chalet, Dick's, Sears, Sear's Outlet and trying out every treadmill and every stationary bike I could get my hands and feet on and only getting surface level help that left me confused, frustrated and overwhelmed... I found Used Gym Equipment on line and drove down to their warehouse for a look around. My goal was to create a home gym that will be custom tailored to my workouts, strong, stable and that won't do more damage than good. Jay B. was my sales genius who spent a lot of time walking me around the warehouse after and while listening to what I wanted to accomplish with my workouts and helped me find the best equipment I have found anywhere I have looked. I am very pleased with my treadmill and spin bike... Really wish I had the space for the rowing machine I still think about all the time but didn't buy. Jay was EXTREMELY knowledgable about exercise and exercise equipment, but he was also, and even more importantly "hearing" and interpreting my personal needs with this home gym I was assembling. I did have a few issues with getting my equipment as fast as it was initially promised but the positive WAY OUTWEIGHS any frustration with my delivery date issue... The help I received in the process from Jay and others and the quality equipment I have in my home gym is worth the very small in comparison delivery date issue I had. I had the pleasure of working with Kevin from Sales and eventually meeting their owner Austin (both are great guys) while working together to find a preowned stairmaster for my wife to enjoy in our new home (she's always wanted on but they are super expensive brand new). Kevin was kind enough to keep in touch with me for several months while he worked on finding the proper stairmaster to fit our home gym layout, my wife's preferences, while also staying within my budget. Once Kevin identified a potential fit, we went down to the warehouse, tested it out in person, and left with an order placed, water bottles from their company, and big smiles on our faces. The unit was delivered and installed by another very nice guy (apologies I forget his name), and we've had 3 great months of workouts so far on the machine as well as periodic check-ins from Kevin to make sure all is well and we are happy. read more

I think I can honestly say that this was some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced in the history of life itself. From the beginning, this place seemed odd and reeked of "scam." Jay Breland was my customer service rep. Terrible. Completely terrible...and a liar at that. Lies upon lies upon lies. I ordered a machine, was told that it would be ready, made work arrangements to ensure I could pick it up only to show up and be told that PARTS HAVEN'T EVEN ARRIVED TO BEGIN THE ASSEMBLY. What a jerk. Zero respect for my time or my wallet. Oh yeah.....even rented materials to get it back to my house. Fail. Fail. Fail. This guy then has the audacity to give me a call (conveniently he wasn't there when I was actually on-site but just-so-happened to show up at work 30 mins. after I left to go home) and pretend to be all happy-go-lucky. I'm sorry, but really?? Are you THAT naive? Do you even know what naive means??? Probably not. I received a promise of free delivery by this Thursday morning, in writing, which I was also told would be emailed to me and wasn't (another lie). I heard Xceleration Fitness up in Newbury Park is AMAZING and really wishing that I had chosen to do my business with them instead of these jerks. How difficult is it to simply tell me the truth? Give me realistic expectations here -- I'm an understanding guy, but lie to me and you've lost my trust completely. Don't believe a single thing these guys tell you, especially Jay, they were full of lies to begin with and I'm completely appalled by their lack of respect for their customers. I like the idea of being able to buy used gym equipment on line. It stinks to know there is perfectly good equipment just lying around not being used. This review isn't based on the equipment itself - it's used, which means closer to breaking down or needing maintenance. This is, however, directed at their customer service. A piece of machinery broke several days ago and it's been hell just trying to get an answer from the rep. Once I reached our rep, they said I'd probably have to ship the thing to a facility to get it fixed. "But can't you dispatch a tech to diagnose exactly what's wrong before we go shipping it to Arizona?" "Well with that type of equipment, you never really know what's going on." "Exactly. That's why I'm requesting a tech to come check it out first. And according to what I'm looking at, it's still under warranty." "Well let me call my tech to get him out there for you." REALLY? I had to go waiving the warranty in your face first? Oh, and the tech isn't actually there so the rep said he'd give him a call to see when he could come out and all. Since the tech seems to be a guy on his own doing his own thing, I asked for a number I could reach him at in case of any problems. Was denied a number because it wasn't in front of the rep, but in his phone....so pull the number! I'll wait. But nope. And now I can't even reach the rep to find out what's going on. If I could give this company a negative star I would. Do not buy from this company. They do not have ethical sales practices, or even decent customer service. They will talk around doing anything about issues or problems with your purchase. I was given the sales pitch that their products go through this extra inspection, but my $2k treadmill required me to get extra parts at Homedepot to even turn it on, and after $350 on white glove delivery they scratched the handles by letting it drag from moving dolly and haven't even offered to send someone out because of the belt grinding sound. Also b4 you buy check out Better business bureau reviews and bodybuilding.com this is also not the first review please check filtered... I have a business partner overseas and we were planning to open our 2nd gym in UAE. At first everything seemed ok, we met with the whole staff including the business owner Austin. Roman Dombrovsky was my sales agent. After I gave my deposit that's when everything went wrong. I had opening date for my gym and they didn't make the deadline. I keep getting lies about the equipment and they keep changing my equipment because they don't what I wanted in stock. It's all a bait and switch. They show you all this equipment but it's already sold to someone else. After I got my equipment the treadmills and ellipticals had issues. When I talked to Roman he said don't worry we will fix your equipment. 4 months later they still haven't fixed our equipment. I hate these LIARS, go somewhere else to buy your equipment like Global Fitness I will never do business again with them! After looking at the all of the reviews one of them is their own employee adding a positive review. A few days later we arrived at the warehouse and after a few moments Harold recommended an even better machine for us. I live nearby, and after initially being dissuaded by the poor reviews below, I decided to give it a chance and I visited the warehouse. Holy crap they have a lot of equipment. I was like a kid in a candy store picking out all the pieces for my new gym location as they toured me around! I got to see first hand how they rebuild treadmills and bikes and what have you and they are even doing a custom upholstery color for my gym. I ordered about 3 months ago and have had the equip in gym for a little over a month and a half now. They delivered the 16 pieces I ordered in short time, all things considered. The business practice was a little off-putting i will admit, as they ask for half of the balance as a down payment, but after seeing the amount of work they put into the products they sell, and after having it explained by one of their reps, I totally understand why. Also, and this is my only real complaint as it took me a while to get the bank to cooperate, they will not hold any equipment on proposals until the deposit process has been completed. The bottom line was, even with the wait, I got the equipment i wanted in a non-standard color and custom upholstery for literally half the cost of new machines. My gym's clients don't know any different, either. If i am fortunate enough to open another location, I will certainly be returning. read more

I decided to split my order between global fitness and used gym equipment ... I had my order ready with global fitness within two weeks and ship the third week.. With used gym Fitnees the sold my equipment to somebody else ... Came to find out that I bought somebody else equipment 2..Then I requested my money back ... The game the The runaround for almost 10 days. Then they send me a check... .....(THE CHECK WAS ON HOLD FOR 3 DAYS AT MY BANK )It's been about almost four months this is the worst experience I've ever had with any company in the USA... If You are international or local Buyer do not go through what I want through ... I would not like to see anybody go through what I went through by something else they train to play games... I am going to have to strongly disagree with the other reviewers. I have a gym in one of the spare bedrooms of our house for my wife's cardio/ Pilates equipment. Our treadmill recently broke down and she has been bugging/asking me to buy a new one. I have seen this place on my way home for years now but I never stopped in till a few weeks ago. I was very surprised at the quantity and high quality of inventory they keep in stock. They stock the exact same treadmills that I use at the Gold's gym I go to. I ended up buying a nice refurbished ex-commercial treadmill. Mike (my sales guy) was very helpful and actually talked me out of purchasing one of the more expensive refurbished units. I tend to buy the most expensive thing even if I don't need it. Its nice to have a salesman looking out for my best interest. read more

Do not do business with this place! I am a gym owner who decided to buy all my equipment from this company to open up my facility. After talking to Brook (salesperson) I was convinced that this was a great company and had excellent customer service...couldn't have been more wrong. He urged me to go to their wherehouse to pick out my equipment...all seemed fine as we handpicked what was to be my equipment. He will sell you anything you want, whether they actually can sell it to you or not. Promises are abound and he promised me the world. When I see a machine and he tells me its available and we add it to the order, you assume that's what you will get but no. He knew I had an opening day two weeks later and I needed everything by then and promised me he could get it. Well after paying him 30,000 dollars for all my equipment I didn't hear from him for over a week...when I finally call he says he had to put it on hold cause one piece of equipment was no longer being made and they couldn't get the parts to make it ready for me...this is after he sold and convinced me to get this unique machine without even knowing that it had been in production only one year then stopped being made...ridiculous. Needless to say after hounding him I received SOME of my equipment a week after my opening date....lost money there and had to postpone it. After getting the equipment things weren't the right color, new equipment had tears in the upholstery, the cardio equipment didn't work etc etc. Long story short it took another 3 weeks to get the rest of the equipment, and they didn't send a tech out to fix the broken stuff till...get this, almost 3 months later. Brook, my salesperson, had pretty much abandoned me with the problems, and the pieces of equipment that they messed up on he came up with excuses as to why they had to ship me something other than the one I ordered. Mind you I don't find this out till after I actually receive it. No call ahead of time to let me know why they couldn't give me the one I ordered. They will bait and switch you people...don't let them sweet talk you. Their customer service is a joke and takes 3+ months to get anything done.Here I am 4 months later and they still havn't resolved problems with the equipment I bought. I cant say this enough, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these guys. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

I am currently working with Roman, my sales representative, and Austin, the owner of this company to receive an order that was placed August 17, 2017 in the amount of $52,297.88. We were told that it would be approximately 65 days before shipment, as they had to get the order together. We are now at day 93 and I keep hearing the same thing over and over again. "It will ship next week". Keep in mind this is for a gym who has already done a major makeover preparing for this equipment and now the space sits empty, losing income. They don't seem to care. I came here today to read other reviews and wish I would have seen them first. In the beginning everyone wanted to help, they were all very kind. "We just need your payment to get started" was all that kept being said. Well 52K is a lot of money so it took a little time. Once the payment was received we didn't hear from anyone until WE reached out to them. They seem very shady and I thought for a while that it was a scam, due to the lack of communication and the promises that kept getting broken. I have been put in touch with the owner Austin but he doesn't rely in a timely manner either. Also, he keep make the same promise of next week. In fact, this was the last response I received from him 3 days ago. "Don't worry. You'll have your order on a ship in no time. We just got way overloaded with orders this year." Again, same promise. However, since when does how the company run and manage their business come at the expense of the clients? Also, as you saw in his message the order has to come on a ship...that is another 60 day wait on our end. We were planning on placing another similar order (same amount or more) after this one. However, I will never use this company again, nor would I suggest anyone else use them. read more

We worked with Shelly and she helped us choose a very functional and efficient used leg extension/leg curl machine, as well as purchase a new abductor/adductor machine for our home garage gym. We've been using the machines for about a month or so now and everything is great. We really love having our own home gym, and these much-needed pieces of equipment help to give us a well-rounded work out and some needed rehab without having to leave home. Used Gym Equipment serviced the functional trainer before delivery and it arrived in great condition; better than I expected. Absolutely the worst customer service and equipment in the history of mankind. I'm shocked that these guys are still in business and I feel like an absolute idiot for not doing my research on these guys before buying. I just find it amazing that a business model can be sustained by making a sale at all costs and later not standing behind your products. Don't they get if a gym has a good experience, they will repeat order. We now use a company called Fitness Superstore and they are responsive and we just gave them a repeat order. Note to Used Gym, "be good to your customers and they will buy more from you." Here's the chronology: Ordered equipment; had driver come out who ended up waiting at the dock for 5 hours. Once he got here, the back extension and full rack we bought were very rusty and extremely outdated and we had to take them to the dump since my sales rep at Used Gym basically said we're stuck with them. The photos they showed covered the rust. We also purchased 2 ellipticals with heart rate monitors that never worked and every time we contacted them we got no help. It eventually got fixed 9 months later by an outside firm that we paid for with no reimbursement from Used Gym. They did give us some supplies many months later but didn't reimburse for the final work that was done. Now we have more issues with the elliptical and need reimbursement for the parts, but we're getting no help from Used Gym who is saying the problems are cosmetic and not under warranty. Even if they're right about the parts, wouldn't any smart business do the work and supply the parts anyways to make up for a bad experience for the client. All they had to do is one positive gesture and we may have actually given them another chance. But now they have made my "worst retail experience in history" list. These guys should go out of business to spare us gyms a lot of heart ache and lost hours of sleep. Because mark my words: if you buy from these guys, you will lose sleep. I visited the warehouse to look at some gym equipment for my home and possibly for my office. I worked with Ed in sales ( a very nice guy). He showed me various machines they had for sale. I was introduced to Andy who ran the warehouse who knew just about everything a person could know about how the machines worked. Though I didn't buy anything yet, I was impressed with Ed and Andy so much, I will definitely be back to make my purchase within the next month. I hope Andy is ready for my next 150 questions! DONT DO IT!!!! This is 2 1/2 year in the making, I just want to say I purchased over $40,000 of equipment from Roman and it was the most un professional contract and sales transaction I have ever been through, the customer service was horrible after the quotes were finalized, ROMAN took off 2250 sq of rubber flooring to make the quote look like he hit my # I was negotiating. How he slipped that by was instead of 2500 sq foot of rubber he put 250, in return the order was placed and he called back to let me know I would owe an additional $4700 to get the rubber shipped or I would have to pay 25% in restocking fee if I declined the whole order. Talked to the owner twice, and I can tell you where Roman got his sales instincts from??? Same message 25% restocking fee and I would have to deal with his lawyers if I had any further questions. Great way to treat a $47,000 paying customer. 2 of the 5 treadmills showed up broke, and 2 1/2 years later I only own 1 of the 5 treadmills I bought from them. The company is bad All AROUND. Don't order from them. I think you got my point I could go on but take it from me DONT DO IT!!! read more
