After doing some research and getting bids from 3-4 companies, I decided to go with Precise Gym Equipment for their competitive pricing and professionalism. They have a flat rate or a lower rate if you order parts through them. Leslie was very friendly and helpful with ordering a new walking belt and motor belt for my NordicTrack treadmill. On the day of the service, they send an email and text to let you know that the tech is on their way. Eddie was our tech, and he was great! He has 12 years of experience in the industry. He was happy to explain what he was doing and didn't mind my questions. He was friendly, professional, and cleaned up after himself. He even reminded me that the company has a 30 day warranty. I wouldnt use this company if you have a pelton. I emailed them expressing my dissatisfaction with the service I received from the company. When I initially called, I scheduled an in-home visit and was immediately charged. On the day of service, I had to call twice just to get an estimated arrival time. The technician did finally arrive after 5:00 PM. Technician was at my home for 30 minutes and unable to diagnose the issue. I was told I would receive a follow-up email with pricing for a replacement part. I havent heard from them and it's been 2 weeks. No response to my email either. read more

Service techs were nice but didn't fix the issue. They noticed that the pole was bent and wasn't going to do anything about it until I tried the equipment and it was still getting stuck , so then he banged on it a couple of times AFTER he put things back together and said if it continues, call them back. Well guess what, a bent pole is a bent pole...THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS!!!! $120 wasted because basically all that was done was getting the pin unstuck from between the weights! read more

I purchased my treadmill from Costco and decided to get the extended service plan. The technician who has been sent out each time is fantastic! He is personable and explains things well. It can be hard to call and get ahold of people to make a reservation and you usually have to leave a message which they are not great about calling you back in a timely manner. read more

I called Precise Gym Repair early in December and didn't get an appointment till mid January (which is fine, but not ideal), with a 9 hour appointment window. But with the promise I can call the day of to know when to expect the technician. Also, not ideal, but okay. After all, my treadmill could only run for 30 seconds before stopping. My Main issue is how Precise Gym Repair was ready to charge +$1000 for repairing a $700 treadmill, AND the invoice provided did not include the needed replacement part. My treadmill apparently only needed a new motherboard to run, but If I had listened to both the main technician and their new-hire, we'd be out a lot of money, with the issue not being resolved. After my own research, all I needed to do was purchase a $150 new motherboard, slap that in, and my treadmill ran. Replacing both motors was not necessary, nor were both belts non-functional yet I was told they all needed to be replaced for the machine to run. As far as I know, they were going to replace everything, figure out that the issue was still the motherboard, send a second invoice, and just waste more of my time. But hey, they at least got their consultation fee. Invoice attached shows no motherboard replacement was requested, but everything else was clearly reccomended to be replaced. EDIT following response: "It's stated on the manufacturers manual when you buy your treadmill. Not sure if you read that part." I'm sorry that our household doesn't have a dedicated indoor gym to satisfy the treadmill's manual. And no, I'm not going to post pictures of my home on here. "Remember just because your car runs doesn't mean it doesn't need tires and belts. But to each their own." Well, a decent mechanic would tell their client, "Hey this repair job isn't worth it. I have a rough idea of what you paid for this treadmill, and I have a rough idea of how much each of these parts costs." I didn't need the elevation motor to be replaced either as I communicated it never got used, but it was added in the invoice. "Third, you wouldn't even know what a  Lower Control Board (Motherboard) is if it wasn't for our techs report that is sent to our customers after every visit. Excuse you lol. The service report had no more identifying technical detail that the serial number (useless to me) and the model number.. which I already had from the decal on the treadmill itself... As well as the Lower Control Board has the model printed right on it. So no, the consultation didn't provide that insight. "In your case, the manufacturer which we work with didn't have the LCB available at the moment and that is why it wasn't on your invoice." That failure of communication on your part further reinforces that the final repair bill would be more than $1200k. At that point you would be replacing everything except the shell of the treadmill and the console. I will concede that the belts should be replaced(but not essential), but clearly the main motor is fine since it's worked well in the last 3 days, as well as I did share I didn't need the incline motor since we don't ever use. My tech provided a detailed analysis/report of what was done the first time which I proceeded to Hand over to my treadmill company and that helped make the process seamless within a week my new parts were sent out and the follow up appointment my tech came earlier than planned and installed all parts. Was done within an hour, completely professional, friendly and amazing people skills. Will definitely be using them again for any future work on my treadmill. Technician Eddie showed up on-time and had my NordicTrack 2450 up and running in about an hour. He replaced the motor, a very discolored main PCB and a sub-controller board. I asked questions along the way and he had answers for all of them; explained everything in plain terms while he worked. He cleaned the internals as well. He was efficient and precise with the power driver, you can tell he's done a few of these. Both times I contacted them I had an appointment within 5 days; first one to diagnose and order parts, second one for the repair. Just had a nice 2-mile interval run and it's working like a champ! I will start by saying that the technician who fixed our elliptical was very nice and did a great job fixing it. Great guy. But that was about the only part of the experience that went well. He also left behind a exposed lead battery for us in a house with a toddler. That part wasn't very professional and I needed to drop it off myself at a hazardous waste center. On top of this, these guys were completely uncommunicative. They billed us for parts, and then never gave us a status update for 3 months. Their customer service wouldn't pick up, and the only way you could get through to them was by pretending to be a new customer. Then they would cancel your appointment without telling you, always saying that they would let you know what to expect and never following up. I basically told them that if they cancelled again without telling us, I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. Luckily they finally came through at that stage, but customers shouldn't need to threaten businesses just to get service. Won't be using their services again. read more

If you need an equipment repair, stay clear of Precise! Horrific customer service and way off staff! I have never been treated this way by any company. They had no remorse or care of how they are conducting this service. I contacted Norditrack back in August 2020 of a defective fan issue on my treadmill. When the part arrived in September, Precise (who is now handling warranty items for Norditrack) did not call me back until November. I called them at least 6 times and finally got a hold of someone to set an appt for END of December. They told me this was their first available even though I had been calling them for several weeks. The tech showed up to the appointment on time and very professional. Unfortunately he was unable to fix and we had to order a new part. Fast forward to February when my part arrives. Here is where it goes really bad! Again it took several phone calls for somebody to call me back to set an appointment to fix. I finally set appointment for March 19. I work full-time so I rearranged my schedule to stay home during the window that the tech was supposed to be there. The morning of the appt., I receive a phone call from the customer service representative telling me that the tech has an emergency and they have to cancel. Of course I was upset because I rearranged my schedule but I understand that emergencies do happen. While on the phone, I reschedule The appointment for the following couple weeks. Again, I was given an appt. window on this day so I stayed home, rearranged my schedule to find out that no tech showed up, all day! I didn't get a phone call or anything from precise. Even when I called them all you get is voicemail. I left THREE MESSAGES that dayI. I had to continue to call them during the next couple days until finally I reach someone who told me they had no idea why they didn't show up. They weren't even upset about it. So we reschedule again for the following week. Once again nobody shows up! I finally get a hold of them the following week, after leaving FIVE messages, and they tell me they didn't have confirmation from me in their notes that somebody was supposed to be at my house for this appointment. How crazy is that when I was speaking to them over the phone from the last missed appt? I recorded all conversations and offered to play them back. The rep just keeps repeating herself telling me she's just going by what her notes say. It was like talking in the twilight zone! What is wrong with these people? They are supposed to show up this weekend (4th attempt) but I I have lost all confidence in them. It will be my last and final hope before I take this viral with all my recorded conversations and notify Norditrack of their incompetence. Extremely disappointed. UPDATE: (right after I wrote this review, Edgar comments below) Edgar, thanks for the quick reply that's about the quickest I've ever received a response from your company after numerous emails and phone calls. While it took 4 months and tons of follow up calls to get in touch with them to check status and schedule follow-up appointments, I was very satisfied with the final my repair and both Luis and Edgar were a pleasure to work with and very professional. They took their time to do the job right and didn't rush. Amazing work! I will def use this company again. I have a Nordic track elliptical that was having issues. I called the company that deals with the warranty and long story short my elliptical stayed broken for 2 months. I got fed up and called precise gym repair. They sent a Technician (Edgar) to my house the next day. Edgar was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. He took about 45min with my machine and fixed everything! He even cleaned it. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the service and now I have my elliptical back. Not even a one star. Lame. Criminal. Sabotaged my treadmill So they could "order a part". After I paid for the part, they canceled 3, THREE times! 5 weeks later, after THIRD cancellation, I hired a guy who came same day, fixed it in 20 minutes and discovered a purposely disconnected cable, buried in a bunch of other cables. Plugged in and Lordy, it worked! Precise came today, though I never said to come, "To fix my treadmill!" I told them someone else did it in 20 minutes, and kicked him off my property. We call them to fix our Nordictrack GX2.0 as it wasn't working properly. It took them a few weeks to actually come to our house to get a diagnostic on the not working stationary bike. Once they come they told us there was a part that was not working and had to be order and replaced. The whole process took 1-2 months (that was during the COVID-19 pandemia, understandable). After many attempts to follow up with the repairs, they came to our house and made the repairs to just find that there was another issue with our stationary bike (not sure why they did no pick it up the first time). Anyhow, after charging something like $300 they told us they would have to place an order for the part. After this we never heard back from them again. We tried to called again to follow up, but they never replied to us. Nothing like leaving a job unfinished. Based on this experience, we just gave up on them and our $300 and decided to buy a new stationary bike. We will never use them again, not reliable!! read more

This company has 2 listings so I'm posting it here as well. I have never written a review before but I am compelled to write one. This is the worst experience ever!! Do not use this company. I have a Nordictrack treadmill that is less than a year old. Daniel came out initially to replace the walking belt. He took over 2 hours just to replace the belt. While doing it, he was referring to the manual all the time. Didn't seem to me that he is experienced in what he is doing. But he did put everything back together at the end, so I thought that's ok. A day or two after he left, we used the machine and we started noticing loud noises coming from the motor. I called Precise Gym again to tell them about the issue. They scheduled for the tech to come out 3 weeks later. A few days after I made the call (less than a week after the initial appointment), the machine stopped working altogether!!! We patiently waited for our next appointment. When Daniel came out again, he didn't know what was going on. He went to google for help!! I know google knows everything, but as a tech, I would have expected him to run some diagnostic to figure out which part is not working. So google told him that the control board is blinking so I need to replace the control board. When I told him the motor is making a lot of noise, then he said my motor also needs to be replaced. He said the incline motor also needs to be replaced. My machine is less than a year old, it is very very odd that the control board needs to be replaced, the motor needs to be replaced, even the incline motor needs to be replaced all at once. But I thought ok, it's under warranty so let's call Nordictrack and they will take care of it. This is when the bombshell dropped!!! When I called Nordictrack, I found out that my warranty was voided. I had no idea my warranty was voided and no one told me so. I then found out Daniel reported me to the company that my machine is in the garage so they voided the warranty. I did not know I am not supposed to put it in the garage. That's my bad for not looking at the owner's manual carefully. I'm not asking him to lie. But at least he should have the courtesy of telling me this is what he is going to do and will void my warranty. Anyhow, regardless of the warranty issue, how on earth would the control board and both motors mysteriously break down right after Daniel came to replace the belt??!! I probably have a better chance winning the lottery than for that to happen naturally! Now I have no warranty cover, Daniel wants me to pay $600+ to get the replacement parts. And I would have to pay him to replace the parts because I am no longer covered by the warranty. Does this sound right?! The machine was working perfectly before apart from a little tear on the belt. After Daniel came, I have to pay $600+ to replace the parts?! Instead of repairing your machine, if you want your machine to break down, you can use this company!! Now I had another repair company came out (which I paid for myself), the tech ran some diagnostics and confirmed the motors are working fine. Unfortunately, the control board needs to be replaced. The noise from the motor is because the belt connecting the walking belt to the motor was not fixed properly causing the screeching noise. How can a tech not know this basic thing?! If a tech is experienced, he/she would be able to diagnose the problems rather than telling the customer to just replace the parts. As for the control board, I get it it's electronic and electronic goes funny whenever it feels like. But would it coincidentally happen right after the tech replaced my walking belt??!! I know my verdict, but I'll leave it to you to decide if you want your machine to be repaired or be in a worse state than it first started!! They just washed their hands off and didn't try to make it right. This experience is not even worth a star, it should be zero star. read more
