Got the exact color I wanted! Super friendly and professional you can tell he really knows what…read morehe's doing. Just make sure to call ahead because he books up quickly, especially for longer sessions. One thing to note: a few areas lifted slightly orange, likely because the bleach didn't take evenly in those spots. He explained that we had already done two bleaching cycles and doing more would risk damage, so we decided not to push it. He also offered for me to come back so he can fix those areas, which I appreciated. If you've never gone from dark to light before, just know it takes time and patience. Good vibes there. I'm going to try purple shampoo in the meantime, but overall I'm happy with the result and would return.

Don't come here! Had…read moremy hair braided by Mercy and truly regret the whole experience. First when I came in for the scheduled appointment time, she had 2 people in front of me. Her and her mother gas lit me into staying by saying it's only 2 braids. Well that took an hour. Unfortunately, I was leaving out of town the next day so didn't have too many options and she promised she was going to do a great job - which (as seen in the photos) was a lie. Just to demonstrate how unprofessional Mercy and this Salon is - Service highlights: - I was never greeted had to introduce myself after 10 minutes - she got the wrong color of hair - hair I paid her for. - waited an hour after initial scheduled meeting time - spoke on the phone the whole time - her family showed up to the appointment - started rushing the braiding and was pulling at my scalp (apparently she was running late to something for her daughter) -although she is in the salon but only works at a booth Hair highlights - every strand is uneven - it's parted and cut in a way that makes the hair flop to my face - I have sores on my scalp due to the pulling - cannot put hair in a bun or get the air out of my face because every strand is different. The salon itself was very unhelpful and this was a terrible way to start a vacation.

Today was my first appointment at Riot with Haley, and she was incredible from start to finish…read more Before this appointment, I had been seeing the same stylist for 17 years, so I was nervous about trusting someone new with my hair, especially since keeping the length was important to me. Haley immediately put me at ease. She was friendly, kind, and incredibly grounding throughout the entire appointment. She took the time to really listen to me, asked thoughtful questions about my routine and what works for my lifestyle, and never once made me feel silly or judged. She also taught me how to diffuse my wavy hair, which was something I have struggled to learn. I left feeling confident, heard, and genuinely excited about my hair. If you're nervous about trying a new stylist, I can't recommend Haley enough.

I've been going to this salon since 2022 when we first moved to the area and had no complaints…read more However the last 2 times I've went here I've had the same stylist and she does the opposite of what I ask for. The last time I was there I asked for my layers to be cut shorter because they were grown out and small bangs. The hairstylist proceeded to 2 pieces of my hair shorter than the rest of it making my hair look choppy and uneven. She didn't even cut me any bangs as-well. My layers looked exactly the same than they looked before just were styled. I never thought I would say this but i will not continue going to this salon which is crazy because I used to love it. I guess the new employees are just not as awesome as the old ones. The only pleasant part of my visit was going to the restroom because it did smell nice in there. I will be finding a better salon in my area.

I am very disappointed with my experience…read more I initially paid $300 for my hair extension installation and later returned and paid another $150 for maintenance. During my most recent appointment, I relied on the stylist's professional recommendation regarding the installation method. Unfortunately, within less than 10 days, multiple sections became extremely loose, with two sections literally hanging on by a thread. I contacted the stylist because I felt that an installation should not fail this quickly. Instead of helping me rectify the situation, I felt that the blame was placed back on me, and the proposed resolution involved me paying additional money for yet another installation. I understand that hair extensions require maintenance and that not every method works for every hair type. However, I relied on the stylist's expertise in choosing the method. If a professionally recommended installation starts failing within days, I do not believe the client should be expected to pay again to correct it. I also had concerns with the quality and comfort of the installation. The way my hair was braided caused significant pulling and was very uncomfortable. The extensions did not look smooth from the back, and the extension hair was not properly blended or layered into my natural hair, which made the finished result look less natural than I expected. I was also very disappointed with the way my concerns were communicated and handled. I found the stylist's manner rude and dismissive when I tried to address the problems. Rather than feeling that she was trying to help find a reasonable solution, I felt that responsibility was being placed back on me. Another serious concern is the use of my photos and videos on social media. I had specifically indicated that I did not consent to the salon using my photos or videos for social-media or promotional purposes. I later explicitly asked that my images be removed, but I discovered that pictures of me remained posted on Facebook. I gave the stylist an opportunity to resolve these issues before leaving this review, but unfortunately I was not satisfied with the resolution offered. After paying a total of $450 and having the most recent installation begin coming loose in less than 10 days, I expected the situation to be handled differently. I am sharing my experience so that others considering hair extensions here can make an informed decision. Addendum: I do want to clarify one important point in your response. The photos I posted were taken only five days after the installation you recommended and performed. They were not photos of an installation that was at the end of its cycle or overdue for routine removal. Regarding the comment about privacy, there is an important distinction. My concern was that photos/videos of me were posted on your business social media without my consent. That is entirely different from me choosing to post my own photos in a review to document the condition of my hair after the service. I am entitled to decide when and where images of myself are shared. As a client, I relied on your professional expertise to determine which installation technique was appropriate for my hair. If you believed this particular method was not suitable for my hair or would not hold properly, I would have completely understood if you had simply told me that before proceeding. What I found disappointing was that when the newly installed extensions became extremely loose within days, the explanation shifted toward my aftercare rather than acknowledging that the technique itself may simply not have worked for my hair. I don't believe blaming the client when a professionally recommended technique failed within five days is an appropriate way to resolve the issue. Clients come to professionals because we trust their expertise. I did exactly that. If the technique was not going to work for my hair, saying so would have been perfectly acceptable. It really is that simple.

I did not have 2 braiders the entire time, but they work as a team there and help each other out. The braiders only took the usual breaks so that made the process much more smooth.
