During that first visit, Megan was highlighting my hair and, because I swim a lot, there was a reaction. It took some extra care, but she made it work. The end result looked amazing, and I left very happy. Because of that great result, I trusted the salon and booked another appointment by phone several days in advance. The receptionist pulled up my profile and scheduled me with Joselyn. Joselyn was aware of my previous visit and even brought up the last incident herself. I explained that I hadn't been swimming for about three weeks, so my hair wasn't freshly exposed to saltwater. We discussed what I wanted for at least ten minutes, and she even mentioned doing a test strand -- which I thought was a great, professional idea. Then she left to grab the color and came back saying she would not work on my hair at all. "Saltwater exposure and dead ends." Seriously? "Summer time!" That's not a reason to refuse a loyal, paying customer. Everything from my last appointment with Megan was right there in their notes, so they knew exactly what to expect. Yet I was still turned away -- not even offered a haircut or an alternative. When I asked if someone else could at least give me a trim, she said, "We're pretty light today." I walked in expecting professional service and walked out ten minutes later completely refused w/ nothing. I'm beyond disappointed. If you advertise yourself as a color salon, you should be confident enough to handle color -- not back out of it after an appointment is already booked. This is supposed to be a professional salon, yet they couldn't handle a standard client request. I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and honestly insulted. If a loyal, respectful customer can be refused like that, something's seriously wrong with how they're doing business -- and who they're hiring

She was swift, accurate and very confident in what I needed even tho what I thought I was going in for was just a 2-inch trim, lol. I had old grown out bleach-dyed hair and ends and really just wanted to clean up my ends but I ended up walking out with a layered haircut I didn't know I needed. She was friendly, fast and accurate, and loved it. I have since received a handful of compliments on my cut, and that's music to my ears! PSA: Longs hair studio does NOT take appointments for haircuts on the weekends - walk-ins only. They open at 9:30am on Saturdays, and I got there at 10am a they were SLAMMED!!! Every seat had a client or patron, and while I did have to wait about 15-20 minutes, I'm still glad I waited and got Stella! I didn't really like that I had to wait and that there was minimal to no seating because an entire family had taken up the seats they had, so it got crammed and crowded real quick. Other than that, I had a great experience! Great price too! Paid $50 for a haircut before tip! Pretty competitive and not overpriced for a haircut these days!

My friend booked the appointment for the three of us, and I specifically mentioned before the service that I did not want the facial portion of the package. The front desk reassured me that it wasn't a facial -- just a light face massage -- but that turned out to be completely untrue. The experience went downhill immediately. We received almost no instructions about what to do or expect. Once I laid down, my masseuse started working directly on my face without saying a word. She never asked if I was wearing makeup (which I was), and began rubbing and tapping my face in strange circular motions, then applied some unknown substance. I told her to stop and explained that I have allergies and didn't want anything put on my face. Because she didn't speak any English, another staff member had to translate. She stopped briefly, wiped off my face, but then started massaging my face again with the same unknown product. At that point, I was extremely upset and uncomfortable. She also pressed down on my eyelids several times, knocking off some of my lash extensions and even dislodging one of my contact lenses. Afterward, my friends told me they had almost identical experiences. One of them had oil and water get into her eyes, and the masseuse was extremely rough. By the end of the session, all of our faces were burning. I had also added a hot stone massage, which I deeply regretted. It felt awkward and unprofessional -- at one point she just handed me an oily stone to hold for no reason. She kept pulling my hair throughout, and my friend said her stylist didn't even use conditioner, only shampoo, which makes no sense for a "head spa." At the end, the masseuses began hitting the backs of our heads and pounding on our backs and shoulders -- not in a therapeutic way, just harsh and uncomfortable. There were no instructions afterward; we had to figure out ourselves that we were supposed to move for a "blowout," which ended up being a quick, rough blow-dry using cheap Pantene products. To top it off, as soon as the massages were over, the masseuses literally ran out of the building, and the host seemed eager to rush us out as well. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience from start to finish. I truly hope management takes this feedback seriously because the lack of communication, professionalism, and basic care was unacceptable.

When I arrived, the person checking me in spoke no English and relied solely on a translation app. That in itself wasn't the issue--I was patient--but she asked me to fill out forms she couldn't understand about my skin issues and insisted I pay, even though my husband had already prepaid for the services. She also kept pressing me about how I was going to leave a tip. A manager eventually came out, who spoke slightly more English, and confirmed that my services were already paid for, but the exchange created tension between staff. It was uncomfortable to watch them argue in front of me. During the treatment, the provider was unable to explain what products were being used or what steps were being performed, despite me asking. The services themselves did not feel "luxury" at all and did not match the level of quality my husband paid for in the package. After the session, I was once again confronted about tipping. Even after I explained I had no cash with me, the provider persisted several times, which felt extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. The manager had to intervene again, visibly frustrated with her staff. Overall, this was not a relaxing or professional experience. The lack of communication, pushiness for tips, and poor service quality made this feel far from the anniversary gift it was meant to be. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this facility

I have never had balayage done to my hair before and wanted to see if it could be a possibility despite the train wreck the previous salon left me with. I'm not exactly sure what my expectations were because of how badly the color of my hair was, but I definitely did not expect for Summer to perform the miracle she did on my hair! I am SOOO in love with my hair! Summer and Roni stay well educated on the newest tips, tricks, and products. I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED. I have finally found MY salon! I refuse to go anywhere else! They were honest from the very beginning on what I could expect at the end of my appointment, but Summer definitely went above and beyond. Summer took her time, explained the process she was doing to my hair, elaborated on the products she was using, and we had nice conversation throughout my entire appointment. I came here with my sister, who has been a loyal customer for over two years, and unfortunately, our most recent visit left a bad impression due to the unprofessional behavior of one of your stylists. As small business owners ourselves, we know how important it is to treat customers with respect--especially loyal ones. This experience did not reflect that standard. To the owners and management: it is important to ensure your staff are properly trained in both communication and customer service. Clear language skills and professionalism are essential in this industry. Also, not every customer is looking for discounts or free services--we are simply looking for quality work and respectful treatment. During this visit, my sister's beautiful hair was shaved in the back with a razor to correct a cut that had been done too short. Using a razor in that way on a woman's hair is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. We understand that mistakes happen. We are all human, and sometimes language barriers or misunderstandings occur. However, what matters most is how those situations are handled--with kindness, accountability, and respect. This is a business that charges premium prices, and with that comes the responsibility to train and guide staff on how to properly interact with customers. We are not asking for refunds or free services. What we expect is acknowledgment, empathy, and clear communication about next steps--instead of being immediately asked to remove a negative review in exchange for a free fix. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and uses it to improve the customer experience moving forward.
