I called the shop in Kent, told her what I wanted, and that I was hoping to schedule within a week if possible. The woman who answered was kind & organized, and said an artist would reach out to me soon. Scott called me within an hour and he was very kind & excited - he gave me his email and we sent him some reference photos. I didn't need to place a deposit, but when we showed up he came up with a bunch of little designs ready to go for us that were based on our references. He allowed us to pick and choose from the sheet and accommodated our wants/placement/sizing. He additionally was willing to do it in a marathon session, each one of us after another. Scott @vampire.lescott on Instagram was talented, nice, and accommodating! Plus, the shop strictly enforces masks and social distancing. The shop is very clean and the artists put their art on the walls. It's a nice little shop nestled in a plaza right next to Toko! There's tons of parking because it's in the plaza. The shop isn't open, nor are there separate rooms- it's a line with shorter barricades for some privacy. Plus, there's a bathroom in the back. I highly recommend this shop - I had a great experience here :) plus you can grab some delicious sushi on your way out from toko!

The shop itself is very nice and was easy to locate. The owner was there along with other artists and employees. The owner was very nice and had a great sense of humor and the employees were very friendly and nice. This shop is a great fit for my artist and I highly recommend booking an appointment there. Very professional, clean, nice atmosphere, very educated in aftercare of tattoos and piercings. My artist, Brayden, is the most TALENTED, AMAZING ARTIST!!! If you are thinking of getting a tattoo Warhorse Ink is the place to go, plus they have multiple locations.

The piercer, a white woman with black hair, was unfriendly and came across as snarky and rude from the very beginning. Instead of taking my friend to a private area, she had her lift up her shirt in the lobby. She then had her sit on the couch, looked her up and down, shook her head, and told her she was "too fat" for a belly button piercing and that she didn't have the right anatomy. Whether or not someone is a candidate for a piercing, there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that. The way she spoke to my friend was humiliating and unnecessarily hurtful. My friend already struggles with body image, and hearing those comments from another woman left her feeling embarrassed and ashamed. Watching someone treat another person that way was upsetting. After leaving, we went to another piercing shop, where the piercer evaluated her professionally and completed the piercing without any issues. We were also told that the interaction we experienced at True Art Tattoo was handled in a very unprofessional manner. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend True Art Tattoo. We encountered rudeness, body shaming, and a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. No customer should leave feeling belittled over their body.
