Though I've been meaning to get my tattoo touched up, I decided instead to do something I haven't been able to do until now because of work. I finally got my nose pierced. I've been wanting to do it for awhile, but as an actor, if you make a change to your visible appearance, you have to be sure you can cover it, remove it, or otherwise make it invisible to be able to fit any role that doesn't call for that sort of thing. Right now, without a project coming up right away, I have the six weeks it takes for this piercing to heal, so that for the next thing I do, I can change out my first stud for a nude colored one, or even leave it out during a show. So, with the intent only to price the place and check them out, a couple of weeks ago I headed over to Body Revolution in Brunswick. By the time I left, I had a pretty new stud. I've named him Julio. The staff was informative and friendly, and the guy who did my piercing was approachable with questions and such. He was quick and steady handed with the piercing (it of course wasn't painless, but I'm sure it would have been worse had he even SEEMED awkward or inexperienced), and he complimented me on the way I handled it, which did not include changing my mind at the last minute, crying like a baby, screaming or running from the room in terror. He was thorough with his instructions for care, and not pushy when I didn't purchase the $12 "care kit" they offered at the store (it's a ripoff, kids, just buy some Q-Tips, some antibacterial Dial for cleaning for $1.99, and a bottle of hydrogen peroxide for a buck). All in all, it was a great experience, and I love this new piercing - I'd recommend these guys to anyone.

I tried to set up an appointment since this was my first tattoo and I was taking my time to do everything right. He assured me it's ok to just walk in when I'm ready and we'll do it. So when I came back in he was busy and brushed me off on to what turned out to be the new guy. Definitely my fault for not walking out but it took a long time for me to get my nerve up to get my first tattoo so I trusted his advice. The guy had to stop and answer phones and greet people who walked in. That made my ankle tattoo turn in to a 4 hour job and anyone who has had work done know how sensitive the skin gets after it has been worked on, left alone for 5-10 mins and then gotten more work done right back on it. Main point, the tattoo looks completely amateurish and I had him stop and not complete the rest. I went back in a couple months later to ask them to try to fix it up. The guy who did it no longer worked there and the owner and a couple other guys just laughed at me and said "No way. We don't touch other people's work." The tattoo was done at his shop! What a bunch of unprofessional, irresponsible *%#%! I am so unhappy with the whole experience. I did find someone eventually at another shop to at least clean up the lines and add more color as can be seen in the pic. I would never return to a business who laughs mockingly at a customer and refuses any sort of help or advice. Wish I could give 0 stars. To be fair, I must admit this occurred some years back but I know the same owner is still operating it. Much better choices out there!

I took her back and they told me whoever did it put the backs on way too tight but there was nothing they could do. "You want to take to a professional for medical care. Sorry for the inconvenience". So a $50 copay and the SLICING out of the earring with a scalpel and my daughter screaming from pain we can get it repierced but absolutely not from here.
