Moving to a new city and finding a great (and reputable) piercing studio is a tricky one. You want…read moreto befriend a piercer for all your sparkling needs and find a front of house to help in curations, custom orders and more. After leaving a studio who did all that and more for me on the east coast, mid-ear project, I was on the hunt. GoodLife is appointment only, with reputable piercers, jewelry options and a cleanliness that reminds you of a fancy (but cool) drs office. NGL my first visit, I was welcomed by a tough FOH. I'd be lying if it wasn't the first time I've encountered a person who treated someone who is not as alt presenting differently. BUT my knowledge of jewelry and brands, placements and piercing upkeep is thorough and the reason I bothered driving 45 mins to this studio. Upon making my appointment I picked out Kelly, who JUST so happened to work that weekend. They were AHMAZING, sweet, professional, and made you feel good. And for me, it was good enough to keep coming back. They introduced me to Ezra, the studio manager, for a custom order placement and that interaction continued to make up for the initial not so great check in. I've been back 2 more times since and have had great service each time. I've been introduced to Marissa as well and look forward to having a second piercer to work with on my ears. Folks know but its like tattoo artists, you just end up with your go-tos. They have great jewelry options and will work with you to order outside of any of the brands in their cases, custom or otherwise. Go get poked and sparkly!

The jewelry experts are incredibly attentive and their selection is hands down the best in the Greater Cleveland/Akron area. I drive out of my way to come here. Special shoutout to my piercing person, Grey. Grey is attentive, friendly, quick and professional. Go see Grey if you want your piercing experience to be a good one!

The piercer, a white woman with black hair, was unfriendly and came across as snarky and rude from the very beginning. Instead of taking my friend to a private area, she had her lift up her shirt in the lobby. She then had her sit on the couch, looked her up and down, shook her head, and told her she was "too fat" for a belly button piercing and that she didn't have the right anatomy. Whether or not someone is a candidate for a piercing, there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that. The way she spoke to my friend was humiliating and unnecessarily hurtful. My friend already struggles with body image, and hearing those comments from another woman left her feeling embarrassed and ashamed. Watching someone treat another person that way was upsetting. After leaving, we went to another piercing shop, where the piercer evaluated her professionally and completed the piercing without any issues. We were also told that the interaction we experienced at True Art Tattoo was handled in a very unprofessional manner. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend True Art Tattoo. We encountered rudeness, body shaming, and a complete lack of compassion and professionalism. No customer should leave feeling belittled over their body.

Had bad juju from previous place that did this and was grossly overcharged. One and done. Went elsewhere and found my forever piercer, so a win overall. EDIT: responding to owner's comment, at no time was I told what you have said. Your employee said "$10 for every time they change jewelry or anything else; jewelry separate." When I asked her if they charge when downsizing from a piece purchased from you, was informed, "yes, every time something is done, a charge of $10, plus tax." I'd suggest you coach your team and perhaps stop spending so much time deflecting & challenging ppl's comments. Had I read before calling, I'd had known I would NOT want to do business with you. Yes, I am real. Not paid, nor a competitor as I've stated previously. No, not ever coming in. Shame on you. Perhaps review what customer service is truly about and spend time doing this, coaching yourself and your team.
