Came here because I heard it was a local Brazilian salon and I got excited. Although the people at the front spoke Portuguese, the nail tech spoke only Spanish so it was a bit hard to communicate. That wasn't the issue though. I have gotten acrylics for years and came here only to get them soaked off. This lady burnt my nails with the nail filer and was so aggressive in a way I've never seen. My nails were burning and she left multiple dents with the nail file. On top of that this process cost me $30. I have never seen anywhere charge this much for this service, let alone have a service done this poorly. After filing she used a nail polish looking tube that was supposed to remove the acrylic? Which did not work. She then would scrape my nails so aggressively with a tool. Once this didn't work she began actually soaking them off. I was in there for AN HOUR AND A HALF, IN PAIN to get these nails off. I will never walk into this salon again. Soaking off nails is such a simple process and I've never seen anything so poorly done. My nails are now fragile, weak, and I am traumatized by this service. Will not be returning and if you need your nails soaked off I would recommend anywhere but here. read more

I went in a couple weeks ago to Studio D as a new client. I had booked a hair appointment with Dinho (the owner) for a color and cut. When I got there, Dinho greeted me and brought me over to his chair and said Fabian (another stylist) would be helping him. I explained what I wanted with my hair and Dinho left and Fabian ended up doing my entire color/cut/styling. Fabian had mentioned it was only his THIRD time doing a cut/style at this salon and yet I was paying the same price for Fabian as I would have with Dinho (the owner). I was extremely disappointed with the service - I have never in my life booked an appointment with an owner and then received services from someone else. I also don't love the way my hair turned out, and I spent over $700 (before tip) for root smudge, partial highlights, and haircut. I was charged $125 for a root smudge, which I have never been charged for in my life. I also expressed to someone working at the salon that I was very disappointed, and was told they would contact Dinho who would get back to me. It has been over 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything. I went to this place about 3 times. First time with Paula ( haircut). She was excellent. 2nd time with Lu (color) .She was also good. 3rd time with Lu (haircut). She was a disaster. She doesn't know how to cut hair. This was two weeks ago and I still don't know how to style this mushroom that she left me with. Been a colorist is one thing and cutting hair is a very different one. However, I gave 3 stars this time and not 1, because the one was very professional when I went to complained. He apologized and offered a refund. Still there is no fix for this horrible haircut. Be aware not all colorists know how to do haircut. read more

Wow! My first time to try Studio-D Brickell was today and I couldn't be happier with my hair and the salon. I booked online for a gloss and cut. The booking process was so easy. As soon as I walked in I was greeted so nicely and was offered coffee and felt immediately at ease and welcomed. The vibe was friendly and professional! Randolph, my colorist, came to greet me to talk to me about my hair and he really listened to my concerns as well as gave me his expertise as to what would look good and I trusted him and agreed. I LOVE what he did for my gloss color!!! Then Luke took over to cut my hair. He also listened to my concerns about what I was stressed about with my current cut. He did a blunt bob and it's so pretty. After he blew out my hair, I felt pretty again. I had been feeling so down in the dumps with my hair. I walked out of the salon feeling like a new woman.
