BethAnn is a true artist with the magic touches that turn flour and sugar into extraordinary wedding cakes from inside (amazing taste) out (sooo yummy)! I was fortunate enough to have her create my wedding cake. Oh boy, what a wonderful job she had done. I would highly highly recommend her for your wedding or any other events to wow your guests! read more

Studio Cake was on the list of the preferred vendors from our venue but we couldn't be more happy that we have found them! Coming in to the tasting we thought we knew what we would want for our cake but BethAnn was amazing and just blew us away with her wildcard flavor and she was so amazing and just so easy to work with. We knew we wanted a chocolate hazelnut like cake and she gave us a couple of ways to have it but what we chose was the Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle with Caramel which was a hazelnut sponge with chocolate hazelnut frosting and Fererro Rocher with salted caramel as the base layer and the top layer. We also chose the Pucker Up! (the wildcard flavor) which was the lemon sponge with creamcheese frosting. YUM!! The cake was UH-MAZING that our family literally was calling us even after the wedding to check and see if there's any more cake left! :P read more

For my birthday, my boyfriend had them make a TARDIS cake. It was amazing. I usually don't like cake, being more of a frosting person myself, but I really enjoyed this one, as it didn't taste like...cake. The interior was apple spice, and sooo good. The cake itself was beautiful, and everyone loved it. I am now using them again for a friends baby shower, and Daniella has been very helpful and accommodating. Yes, they are expensive, but when you want something really special, this is the place to go. read more

Like many other Yelpers who have written reviews here, Studio Cake made my wedding cake. Some people have their ~thing~ like "Keep me away from chocolate!" or "Just put that doughnut right on my thighs!" and while chocolate and doughnuts are a treat of course, a great cake is really my whole deal. I was pleasantly surprised to find Studio Cake as a preferred vendor of the Allied Arts Guild given that half of their PVs had websites that were inactive. They seemed hip and really "with it" so I had no doubt that they would do a great job. Daniella was really communicative throughout the whole process, from tasting to designing to delivery to payment. At the tasting, I told her that we had a watercolor/hand-painted idea running through what little decor we used for the event (if you've been to the AAG, you know they need very little help to make it look beautiful) and she really made sure that was brought to life with our cake - arguably the focal point of any wedding once the couple has walked down the aisle. We gave the team our invitation for reference and, though it ultimately didn't turn out as I was expecting, they still did a great job and the attention to detail they paid in painting the fondant was amazing. Delivery went smoothly because the crew knew the venue like the back of their hand, and it seamlessly looked like it belonged there as a permanent feature. Another thing I feel I should say is that the staff is very patient, especially with brides like myself who could simultaneously come across as both aloof and frenetic. As most people who have planned a wedding know full well, there really is no way of predicting how many people will show up to your event even after you've requested RSVPs. Around the time of ordering we were walking a fine line between a large difference in $$$ and leftover cake depending on the headcount, but after many emails we finally worked it out and it was really all thanks to their flexibility, customer service, and expertise. Studio Cake offers super inventive flavors and all of our guests raved about the taste of their dessert. Because we had a Fall wedding, we went with flavors that complemented the season like Sticky Apple Caramel and The Salty Dog, though every flavor we tried at the tasting was delicious. On November 8th, the day after our wedding, I was naturally on cloud 9 but if I were to break it down it would honestly be 50% because I married a good dude and 50% because we had cake for dayssss. If I ever need tasty desserts again anytime soon, I will definitely call upon Studio Cake for their services, 100%. read more

Studio Cake created a beautiful and delicious cake for our Nov. '14 wedding. Our tasting was so organized, informative and fun. Daniella created a beautiful design for us that captured and tied together just the right details from our wedding, incorporating our wedding colors, a lace design from our invitations, and a beautiful sugar flower and fondant feathers based on our floral arrangements. In addition to creating a perfect design, Studio Cake had by far the most interesting and delicious flavors of any tasting. Our guests gobbled up the cake and are still raving about it. We really enjoyed the cake tasting; I'd say it was one of the highlights of our wedding planning process. We just ordered a double-layered cake for a wedding reception. I guess the cake was tasty but not exceptional. The flower arrangements were very pretty. I was disappointed more with the service than with the cake. The cake was brought in in the early afternoon, the flower arrangement done and then left in the restaurant while the setup of the tables was happening a.k.a dust flying around. Also it completely spoiled the surprise for the bride and the groom as it was left visible. Also, we were never warned that the cake should not be in the fridge before being served. I had asked for a heads-up once the cake is set up, just to know that it's all good, but they never bothered to send a note. May be my expectations were too high and there were some misunderstandings, but I thought StudioCake is professional in setting up wedding cakes and would make sure all little details were cleared up ahead, so that situation like this can be avoided. In this price range, I believe, this should be expected. read more

I put my husband in charge of the cake since that was the only thing he cared about and I was a little concerned if we would have a cake considering he barely made the deadline to get a tux for our wedding. Anyhoot, I was hugely impressed by BethAnn and her staff for creating such a beautiful and delicious cake. We started off with their standard tasting and a couple things stood out to us but they were parts of different cake combinations. Bethann was great at listening to what we liked and didn't like and when we went in for the second tasting she nailed it!! Especially since my fiance and I had such different tastes. I loved their ginger passion fruit cake and he loved their spice apple brown sugar cake. We ended up with extra cake because the restaurant didn't serve it all and we froze the leftovers. 6 months later the cake is still so yummy!! read more

I wanted to find a good place to make my baby shower cake so I yelped it and this was super close to my house and had really good reviews so I figured, why not come and see what this place is about. Stopped by on a Saturday, I wasn't aware that they are appointments only but Danielle, who was there that Saturday still took the time to answer our questions about possible pricing and cake details etc. She also said we could do it all through email as well which made it very convenient. I, however lost here card :-( so I just emailed from their website address asking information about my cake etc. I got a quick response from BethAnn answering all of my questions :-) I do not like fondant, I never have and don't think I ever will, so I asked if it was possible to be an all buttercream cake, and she said yes. She made a sketch and sent it me quickly and I loved it! The decorations were fondant but the entire cake was buttercream frosting! I was so happy about that! Just a side note, that they make their own fondant and it is actually DELICIOUS! So the decorations on my cake, I did eat some of it because it was actually good tasting fondant. All in all, they were very prompt and detailed witg everything, we were able to communicate entirely through email. And the cake came out PERFECT! It went perfectly with my theme which was butterflies and flowers (pink/purple) It was a vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream and a little bit of fudgy frosting as well. The cake was a hit with the guests! I would highly recommend Studio Cake for your cake needs! read more

BethAnn and Arlene are true professionals. They created our perfect wedding cake. We first met with BethAnn to taste their cake flavors and discuss the design. She was really enthusiastic and genuinely nice. She helped us design a beautiful cake that fit these theme of our wedding and even adjusted the design when our custom made cake topper was larger than expected. Arlene executed the cake flawlessly. The color scheme matched perfectly to our chosen wedding colors. The cake was stunning and of course delicious. Our cake was so delicious there wasn't any leftover cake for the bride and groom to keep. When I brought back the cake stand they were nice enough to give us some samples of the cake flavors that were in our wedding cake because my husband's father actually never got any cake at the wedding. We found out that they create anniversary cakes, so we are really looking forward to ordering a fresh cake next March since we were unable to save the top. read more

I just can't believe the detail they included. My husband was shocked and in awe of this cake. Not only was the cake extremely realistic, it tasted wonderful! Cake was so moist. Beautiful work by this team! I will be using them again, and again, and again as well as recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you so very much for making my husband's birthday so memorable! We did a cake tasting here when searching for our wedding cake! Though we didn't end up getting our wedding cake here, Studio Cake definitely stood out as an exceptional experience. They provided a variety of flavors to taste, and each sample was well-sized. We tasted cakes at over 10 bakeries, and Studio Cake had my favorite flavor - Strawberries Go to the City, which is described as: white chocolate cake, white chocolate cream cheese frosting, strawberry compote and graham cracker crumbs. Sadly, my fiancé didn't share my opinion (he wanted something more chocolatey), but I loved the experience of cake tasting at Studio Cake and would recommend that everyone try it! I hope to order an 'everyday' cake from here soon! read more

BethAnn made our wedding cake and did a fantastic job. We met with her several times beforehand to taste different cake flavors and to discuss our ideas. After our initial meeting, she made 4 or 5 sketches of different cake designs incorporating all of our ideas into each, and we chose our final design from that bunch (although she did make it clear to us that she was happy to start over again should we not see our vision in her sketches). She really listened to what we wanted and did a beautiful job! Our cake was so gorgeous that we put it in the center of the dining room at our wedding-- and we have gotten so many great reviews from our guests. The cake itself was delicious! We went with a lemon cake with white chocolate buttercream and a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream. Her pricing is very reasonable, but more importantly, she is dependable, artistic, and willing to work with the client. I give her my highest recommendation! read more

I met Beth Ann at my friend Christine's birthday party. Beth Ann is a dream of a woman with a fantastic imagination a steady hand, and great business skills! Since she had supplied fabulous cupcakes for the party, as soon as I had a reason I hired her for a picnic I went to for a 30 year celebration which included a T Shirt and cup cake contest. I sent Beth Ann a digital photo of a lovely Plein Air painting I liked and she put it on the top of 2 dozen delicious carrot cake cup cakes! They were a big hit and by far the most beautiful cup cakes anyone had ever seen. The prize was not monetary... and those sweet cakes were worth their weight in gold for the impact it had on the group! She was prompt tidy and very pleasant business friendly person. Studio Cake baked my wedding cake for August 30, 2014. The staff, Daniella and BethAnn, were very friendly and nice! I did have a couple of confusing email exchanges, but nothing that interfered with ordering and delivery! My fiance and I had a cake tasting with them and were blown away by the variety and combination of flavors. We ended up doing a second tasting because their menu is that extensive (they put together a box for us) and settled on Lovey Dovey (passionfruit, raspberry on white cake) and Salty Dog (salted caramel with toffee)! I also ordered one of their Simply Cakes for my wedding shower (in Strawberries Go to the City), which was also very good. We wanted a pretty simple, rustic design for our cake with real flowers, and the result was a simple yet stunning cake that was also delicious! My one regret was that we were so busy I only got one slice of cake! But they were great. read more

I just had my boyfriend's birthday cake done by BethAnn. I asked her for the club house sandwich cake because it struck me as the most unbelievable cake I've ever seen... and it didn't disappoint! It was unbelievable!!! Much more in person than in picture. Needless to say, bf was in awe of the cake in fact he actually thought it was a sandwich at first. I asked for the chocolate decadence flavor... extremely yummy. Very abundant, too. We will have cake left overs for several days. BethAnn is nothing short of amazing! I was disappointed many times in my search for a wedding cake, but when we finally sat down to meet with BethAnn, bells were ringing and angels were singing [in my head.... no I'm not crazy] and HALLELUJAH I knew I had found THE one! Being the OCD bride that I was, I made an inspiration panel for prospective bakeries to look at. Every other baker I met with politely dismissed me with an "oh... that's nice" with their eyes glazed over. But not BethAnn, who got totally excited and started doing concept sketches on the spot! In the end, she created a gorgeous and unique wedding cake that fit our theme and color scheme perfectly. And [subtle Portal reference in 3.... 2....1....] the cake was so delicious and moist. :P read more

Studio cake made us our cake for our wedding. I was very pleased with the outcome of our cake. We opted for cupcakes (for budget reasons) and a top cake but I will say that each and every cupcake was perfect. I was able to sketch out my vision, included a few Pintrest pictures for her to get the design I was looking for, and BethAnn delivered! She was very easy to communicate with via e-mail, very responsive and professional. I will advise that when you do the cake tasting, you don't get to taste all the items on the menu, but only the ones they are baking that week. So you may have to come more than once if you really want to try a certain flavor. I chose red velvet and tiramisu for our cake. All the guests were blown away by the red velvet, saying how they never had red velvet this moist with the perfect balance of sweetness. Another surprising feedback from my guests were that they really liked to eat the fondant, that says A LOT about the quality of the baked goods you receive from here :) Another cool tip she gave me was that you can bring her a swatch of your wedding colors and she can match it! read more

There is nothing but five stars for Studio Cakes. The entire staff and Daniella were nothing but kind, accommodating and professional. They weren't so professional that my simple cake was a waste of their time. Even the simplest cake matters to them and their smiles and attitudes were genuinely warm. I came in to town for a surprise party and they made sure to make my cake easy to pick up, delicious and although I wanted a small and highly decorative cake, they made a small, simple and delicious cake that was very well received by the birthday boy and the guests. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. read more

BethAnn is awesome! My now husband and I met with BethAnn to talk about and have a wedding cake tasting. I had a specific look in mind - 3 tier for approx 50+ guests. We enjoyed the tasting yet couldn't agree on 3 different flavor we liked. Lucky for us we were offered additional favors to taste that I picked up a week later. Once we decided, I simply told BethAnn which flavored we liked and which layer it should be. BethAnn has worked at my venue, The Mountain Terrace, hundreds of times so she knew where it was, when she should deliver the cake, etc. very simple process that was enjoyable! Everyone loved the cake and we didn't have any leftovers. The guests enjoyed trying all 3 flavors! Great cake, looked fabulous and enjoyed by all! Thank you! read more

They did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. We went with simply chocolate, and I swear to God I ate a good half of my cake alone because it was that delicious. I've never had buttercream like this, light and sweet but not too sweet where you got sick of eating cake. The chocolate filling in between layers was to die for! And I can't get over how Moist the chocolate cake was, we sampled a few bakeries and had small family cakes done at another bakery, sadly those cakes paled in comparison. Thank you again for being so awesome to work with and responsive even when I was indecisive and was often hard to get a hold of. I can't say that I've been to a lot of weddings or know a lot about wedding cakes. I do, however, like to think that I know something special, classy, and well-crafted when I see it. When my wife and I were greeted by BethAnn at Studio Cake to discuss wedding cakes, we felt comfortable and inspired right away by her warm and friendly demeanor, and of course the beautiful array of cakes she had displayed throughout the kitchen. When we left an hour later, our bellies full of chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream and meyer lemon cake with raspberry-lemon buttercream among other delicious and unusual flavors, we knew we had found us a rock star cake vendor. BethAnn took a great deal of time to ask us about what we wanted in a cake -- colors, style, design flourishes. Do we like flowers? What kind of flowers? What size? I think we were fairly picky and specific, and she was speaking our language from the get-go. Over the next few weeks, she sent us several design revisions until we settled on a cake that looked amazing, and most importantly, reflected who we were. She even gave us more cake to taste later on, where we ended up falling in love with her coconut cake with coconut butter cream. And I don't really even like coconut that much. We ended up settling on a three layer cake with coconut cake/coconut butter cream as the top layer, chocolate/raspberry buttercream in the middle, and lemon/lemon buttercream on the base layer, all colored in white fondant with ribboning around each layer and fuchsia beading and fuchsia blushes in the flowers. I'm doing a horrible job trying to describe what BethAnn created, but I think that goes for anything that looks that amazing. read more

I got married a few weeks ago and BethAnn made the most magical, beautiful cake we ever could have imagined! BethAnn was a joy to work with and is so creative. The first time I met her, I came in with a few ideas for a more "traditional" wedding cake, but when I saw the amazing artwork she does, I immediately changed my mind and wanted something more fun.I gave her a few ideas, and she did the rest--- BethAnn incorporated my husband and my chinese zodiac animals (my husband grew up in China), as well as an enchanted theme for our outdoor wedding. It was absolutely perfect (and so delicious). The whole process of working with BethAnn was very fun, and BethAnn is very organized and loves the work she does. My guests continue to marvel at and be amazed by her creations each year.
