I love the services at studio boom! I have been getting shellac manicures & glitter toes from Tawnya and they are fabulous! I had a manicure a week prior to going to Mexico for a week of beach, pool, and fun. I was worried the manicure wouldn't last being as rough as the sand and constantly being submerged in water can be on a mani! My manicure not only lasted through vacation, but a couple weeks later! She does an amazing "glitter toe" pedicure. The other bridesmaids were all jealous :) I recently got my shellac manicure re-done in red with red glitter for Christmas! Tawnya is very sweet and excited about giving you a fun manicure. She has a lot of creative ideas with colors and glitter combo's that you don't get at other nail salons. I also get my eyebrows waxed by Alicia who does the best eyebrow wax I have ever gotten. I know that sounds weird, but she takes her time and gets them clean and with a good arch. I have fine, blonde hair and she takes her time and gets all the little peach fuzzies off. I am definitely hooked on this place! They go above and beyond for their customers. read more

My haircut/color with Jacquell was amazing from start to finish and a total 360 from my last visit there with a level 4 stylist. Jacquell really listened to what I wanted and what I was looking for as far as cut and color. She did not disappoint at all. This has been my best experience so far. My last visit complaints were my hair was butchered including my sideburns which I'm in the process of having to grow out because they were cut so terribly bad. Also I told my stylist then that my scalp was burning when she was applying my color and she stated "oh that's fine I had to use something a lot stronger to cover you gray"?? By the way I had big giant scabs falling off my scalp from that for about a month afterwards. I could not even feel a tingle when Jacquell colored my hair and my grays got covered up even better than last time with no burning!! I will definetley be recommending Jacquell and rebooking with her from now on. read more

I booked my girlfriend an appointment for a manicure. She doesn't live here so we hit the Internet and called a few places. Studio Boom had an opening so we grabbed it. Good atmosphere, very nice and friendly staff, on time and a fair price. But there were places on her nails where the girl had actually missed putting polish on and the finish on the nails was very uneven and Wavey! I have never had a manicure so I don't know a good one from a bad one, but this clearly wasn't a good one and I know my girlfriend would never go back there. read more

This is my second time at Studio Boom. Meghan did my hair last year and was amazing! I loved the blonde highlights and cut she gave me! Today Victoria did my hair and I cannot say enough about her either! My hair was long and I got 8/9 inches cut off to donate. I was nervous about the change but she made me feel so comfortable. Not only did she give me an amazing cut, but she did an awesome ombre on my hair, which I've never had! I love that she took her time, explained everything to me, and answered all my questions. I was very open to ideas and wanted her opinion on what would look best. I loved that she was honest and told me what she thought would look great, without pressuring me. l live in a different state but visit every summer. I have been to Studio Boom twice now, and they are really great! The service is always friendly and the salon staff is always very welcoming. The atmosphere is nice (a little crowded... but nice!) and the prices are really great. They don't seem to have a problem squeezing me in at the last minute, which is really convenient for me. My latest haircut was with Amanda Jo. She was amazing! She definitely took her time to make sure everything was done right, and I really appreciate that! Oh, my gosh. I have been coming here for years. I can't believe I've never left a review before. I started coming here in 2005. After trying out a couple different stylists that were pretty awesome, I found Kat and Kat quickly became my hair's BFF and now I trust no one else. It started when I walked in and she asked what I wanted and 16 year-old me went, "I dunno. I was kind of thinking that thing that looks like that other thing but goes like this and so it kind of does that other thing. You know?" and she said, "Yeah, I totally know what you mean," and made magic happen. Kat has her finger on the pulse of what is trendy and edgy and I have never left her chair feeling like anything less that a complete rock star and I cannot say enough about her. I moved from Longmont down to Highlands Ranch (south of Denver) a few years ago and Kat and crew are so phenomenal I still drive down (and battle 2 and a half hours of rush hour traffic) to see Kat exclusively. I went in to Studio Boom about a month ago with a very specific idea in mind for a fairly dramatic color change and cut. The stylist was fairly nice at first and said she could do what I was looking for, no problem. Over two hours later, the majority of the time I was sitting along in the salon chair, not in anything comfortable really, or dealing with awkward silences for the small amounts of interaction. but hey I got a drink while I waited so I suppose that was a nice touch. The end result from that say was actually pretty cool, but only by fluke. It was nothing like what I had asked for and I was pretty upset. The stylist was looking out for my hair and suggested I come back a few days later to try to get the look I wanted but to give my hair a few days off from all of the abuse.i thought that was pretty nice of her to offer and was grateful. She seemed confident one more appointment would do the trick. Oh, and the haircut I received does little for my hair texture or shape. Scheduling that second appointment was not easy or pleasant. Whoever was answering the phone when I called (after not hearing anything from the stylist who was supposed to call me) was rude. They made minimal effort to try to fit me in to fix my hair. Going back about a week later, I'm treated very coldly the entire time. After seeing the results of round 2, it was WORSE than before. I was told I should have understood what I wanted couldn't be done in one or two sessions and that it was more difficult because of the previous color on my hair (which I told her about before she got started). I walked out giving it time to hope it would grow on me, but the more I look at it, the more unhappy I am. And with the cost of the services ($190) I certainly expected more, not to mention that that sort of price tag means I can't afford to go somewhere else to try to fix this. Thoroughly disappointed from start to finish and stuck keeping my hair up all the time. read more

People always say the right haircut gives you confidence, I personally never experienced that because I've never left a salon without crying until I came here. Brandon completely listened to me in a way no stylist ever has before. He heard my concerns, and blew me away with the results. I have a burned spot right on my hairline I've been struggling with it as the hair has slowly and thinly grown out, using makeup to even out my hairline for about 5 years and I woke up today and looked in the mirror and it wasn't the first thing I saw. I started as a client at Studio Boom seeing Carissa for the coloring of my hair. Carissa had colored my hair for years in Boulder, Co The salon ended up closing and I sadly lost track of her. Luckily, a friend recommended her colorist to me and long and behold it was Carissa!! She is always very sweet and listens to what I am wanting done. After years of seeing her she knows me well enough to tell me when an idea of mine may not be something I will end up loving in the end, I love that! Lets be honest, when I am cash poor and try and color my hair on my own (which happens from time to time), she never gets upset when I come back for her to help get it back to where it was. Carissa is a great colorist and I am lucky to have found her again! While seeing Carissa one day I met Lucia. I was watching as Lucia transformed these women's hair from nice/average hair to beautiful and amazing hair by adding extensions. I spoke with Lucia a bit about the cost and process while watching as she worked on a client. I was amazed at how quickly she was able to add the extensions and make her client look as if it was truly their own hair! The color matching is always great and she is able to blend the extensions in a way that makes in almost impossible for anyone to know that it is not the persons own hair. I couldn't wait and requested Lucia to order me hair so I could have the same opportunity with my hair. Lucia you will find is not only very friendly she is also extremely professional. Lucia is very knowledgeable in what she does and she takes the time to listen to what your ultimate goal is and is able to provide you what you are looking for in a way that is least likely to blow your budget. I continue to see her every 6-8 weeks for move-ups. Lucia is always kind enough to squeeze you in should you need her to adjust or add one or two in between move-ups if needed. Lucia is knowledgeable and is great about recommending the best products to use as hair extensions need to be cared for in a mindful way to insure they last as long as possible. I went in to get a new look. I did not like my hair the way It had been cut a few months ago at a different salon. I constantly just put It up in a bun. I also have health issues and I have been in a wheel chair for a few months so my self esteem needed a boost. I was set up with Brandon. I gave Brandon full run to do what he thought would look good without cutting it short. I have quite a bit of gray ecspecially in front. Brandon put low-lites just in the front to blend it in with the gray and cut it in beautiful layers. Then he styled it. He had me turned so I could not see until he was done .... The finally reveal. He made it fun and exciting. When he turned me around it was beautiful. I felt so pretty. Brandon not only is excellent at what he does but he is personable, funny and sweet. I recently got my haircut with Carly! I ended up loving my cut, but the process was a little weird. Carly and I only spoke when absolutely necessary and were silent the rest of the time. She asked me how much to cut off and I said "as little as possible because I like it long" and she ended up cutting off at least 6 inches! I was not very happy but after she styled and finished the cut I ended up loving it. Moral of the story is that she will probably cut off more than you would like her to, but she knows what she is doing and I love my new cut! Also don't expect a long conversation! read more

I was referred to Studio Boom about a year ago by a friend and have been extremely satisfied with their service and atmosphere. I'm a guy, so my needs aren't particularly complicated, but I place a high value on service and the "little" things. The salon has a modern, trendy feel to it that is at the same time very clean and professional. Everyone has always been very friendly to me and they'll offer drinks when I get there and such. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes before being sat down. The quality has been spot-on; they've always done a great job on my hair and my stylist has been very personable and friendly and remembers me well. I don't live as close as I used to, but still glady drive 40 minutes up there to get my hair cut. I think it's a great salon, they provide excellent service and they take care to provide the extras that stand out. And sometimes they're big extras, like hosting regular charity events. So after a terrible haircut that took off my hair to mid neck, I called studio boom on a Thursday and was in Friday morning for an appointment. Kendra who helped me was amazing. She found hair they had in stock and was able to give me back my length in less than an hour and a half after having to die some of the extensions. I got hotheads extensions and they are amazing. One day later and they are still quite beautiful. They are so well blended to even people I know are amazed at how well it fits me and my hair. The salon has a great atmosphere lots of people getting procedures done very well experienced in tape in hair extensions. Worst experience ever!!!! I took my kids to get a haircut and STEPHANIE was sooooo rude. As soon as she saw us she looked annoyed and it seemed like we were a burden to her. She was very unfriendly to my kids and didn't make us feel comfortable at all, all of which is not appropriate for someone who works in a service industry. She has changed my view of the entire salon and I will not be going back there, and am going to worn friends and family not to as well. When we left she did not say thank you or thanks for coming, she simple wanted to get rid of us and have us pay. I just moved here recently and got a horrible haircut from a local barber shop. I went in to Studio Boom to see if they cut men's hair. I was in need of an emergency haircut coverup. I spoke to one of the two receptionists at the front desk. In the middle of her response, the one I was speaking to interrupted herself to urgently tell me the other receptionist would help me, and she hurried off to the back. Only to come back a minute or two later with her Starbucks frappuccino, and looking for anything else to do other than make eye contact or acknowledge me. I know when my business isn't wanted. It was a last minute scheduling so my fault for not going to the salon I normally do. The cut was horrible and they had a second stylist try to fix it, which she made it a little better, but still not happy. Then the color was a mess, chunky and the color was not pulled through all the way. Not to mention it was not the color I wanted or showed them from a picture. When I got out to my car and did a closer look I had color on my forehead and ears. You could not pay me to go back to this salon. If you value your hair go somewhere else!!! read more

I got my extensions put in by Lucia just over 1 year ago. I have always had long hair but I made the *huge* mistake of getting an A-Line bob to save myself some time in the morning. I hated it! So when I received my tax return I scheduled a consultation with her. Not only was she very friendly and professional, but she matched my hair color to extensions perfectly! Through our discussion she was very mindful of my needs and made sure that I purchased a length that wasn't too short but also was not so long that they would not blend with my real hair. A week later, they were in! I felt beautiful again for the first time since getting my hair chopped. I have continued to see her over the past year every 6-8 weeks for move-ups, which is essentially a reapplication of the extensions to the roots to compensate for the growth of your natural hair. Now, a year later, my hair has grown to the same length as my extensions! I have them out for now but I have an appointment to have longer ones put in. I have to admit I was a little nervous about what sort of damage having them in so long would do to my hair....but Lucia recommended all of the products I needed to keep the extensions smooth and minimize the damage to my hair. Having followed her advice, I am proud to say there is minimal, if any, damage! I cannot rave about her excellent service and I have referred several friends to her. Thank you, Lucia!! read more

I had wrote a review about how Lucia messed up my extentions. The hair wasn't the same quality as she said she was getting in and after paying a grand and some odd else dollars the hair shrunk from 24 inches to about 14 inches. This is all in less then a year. They refused to give me a refund after not placing them into the hair correctly and she should of ordered curly tape ins. They then proceeded to work with me but little to my knowing would always put the new tape in on a tangle with glue still attached and never removed the glue, I went to another stylist who said this is not quality hair and the glue has never been removed from the tape in hair. I got charged 1300 and the hair had shrunk length and was never even until I went to someone else. I had wrote a review earlier in the year closer to when the incident happened and the OWNER emailed me to take the review down. This salon is the worst one I have ever been to. The pictures attached are the ones of my hair so please don't do this to yours! Go to someone else for your extentions and not to Lucia she will ruin your hair. read more

Caitlyn has been my haircut person for 3 or more years now, and I couldn't ask for anyone more competent and attentive. When I started, she was new to Studio Boom, but evidently her position in the salon is now quite a bit more elevated, and deservedly so. I always look forward to seeing her and knowing how good I will look when she's done with me. I usually never have much to say about the haircut, I just let her use her best judgment and it's been fabulous so far, and I expect it will stay that way. She was running 15 minutes late and because of "policy" Boom would not cut her hair!! They might be able to cut hair but where is their compassion and ability to extend a human kindness!!! read more
